THE SHADOW

Luna sat on her bed 5:00 a.m. going through some files and documents, signing those that she needed to sign.

 Suddenly she had a feeling that someone was standing outside her window, she turned gently to the direction of her window and truly she could see a shadow.The figure of a man putting on with a hat.

She gasped,slide her drawer open and took out a gun.

Fearlessly,she silently walked to her window and opened the curtain but she couldn't see anyone.

Hmmm Was it just her imagination or was someone standing there? she thought.

At 6:30 a.m, luna sent for all her bodyguard and security men

Where were you all last night?She asked

The chief security officer stepped forward and reply "at our Duty post ma'am"

"Who watched my window?" she asked The bodyguard who watched her window stepped out 

From what time to what time? She ask staring at him

10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Ma'am

And you saw no one standing by my window?

'Yes ma' he replied 

Luna stared Keenly at all her bodyguard and security men then with the motion of her fingers they all bow in respect and left.

Perhaps, it was my imagination she said to herself

"I'm dressed for school mom" a tiny voice said that's Luna's daughter she's a girl of 6 years but act above her age.

 Luna wouldn't tolerate anyone who misbehave around her not even our own daughter. little Ximena understood that and she do act mature especially around her mom .

Whatever you do,don't get into trouble and don't try to embarrass me.

Remember that your mother is a famous person so she wouldn't like her name to be stained. 

Understand?Luna asked staring at her daughter.

Yes mom,Little Ximena replied 

What do I always say to you?

Outshine, Outstand and Outsmart she replied.

 Luna nodded turning to the two bodyguard standing by her daughter side she said to them "never leave her side, keep an eye on her, I don't want to hear stories"

At that, they left with the kid to school. Ximena attend one of the most expensive school in Mexico,it was a school for the richest among the rich. Hardly will you see a student of the school working alone without being followed by personal bodyguard.

"Aitana" luna called an elderly woman of about 50+

She walked to her and reply "yes ma'am" How is the baby? Luna asked 

Better than yesterday she replied

OK but put a call through Doctor Mike he should come and check on the baby again 

"Right away ma'am" the woman replied and left.

Seated Right in the middle of her Rolls-Royce was Aria,by her both sides were her bodyguards.The front was occupied by the driver and another security man.

 They were heading straight to Aria's company on a feeder road, Aria cited another car coming by front.

She told her driver to slow down,both cars stopped side by side.

An envelope was passed from the first car into Aria's,a man could be seen at the back of the car.He out he stretched out his head and say to Aria with a smile "It was nice doing business with you."then he sat back comfortably and he's driver drove him off in a high speed.

He was heading to the airport.

 Ava open the envelope to check its content but she realized that the files and documents wasn't complete "Old Fool" she said and beckoned to the bodyguard her side,the bodyguard picked up his phone,initiated a call and say to the person at the other end "Take his head" then end the call immediately.

When the driver was about to move 

,Aria heard something and told him to stop she said "What sounds is that and where is it coming from?" it sounded again and a bodyguard stepped down to check it out.

Right there in a carton was a baby (the same baby that Gaso and Harry abandoned by the road side)

The bodyguard looked at Aria and said to her "It's a baby ma'am".

Aria chuckled lightly and said "How ignorant of the Spanish,Aren't there good orphanage here?Why dump the little thing on the road?"

Hope on and let's leave here I have nothing to do with that" She said to her bodyguard who immediately closed the carton and went into the car.

As the driver moved few meters away from the baby, She instructed the driver to stop again recalling those very words Luna said about children at their meeting in China,She thought aloud "I think i need a child and this is an opportunity to get one".

"What gender is it"? She asked the bodyguard

I'm not so sure ma'am he replied.

Turning to the driver she said "Reverse"

Then to the bodyguard"Get the baby for me".

It was a few minutes past 7.pm,Luna was just returning and she quit exhausted.It have been a long day for her Going to different places and and attending different meetings.She was glad that the day have finally come to an end.

Reaching the gate,the driver click something on the car and it slide open (Yes it's an automatic remote control gate),but as he was about to drive in,Luna said quickly"Stop"and he pulled over.Looking at her bodyguard,she pointed to a direction,there was a shadow there on the wall,that same shadow she saw few nights ago.

Her bodyguard came down at once and ran to that direction, Clicking their guns.Luna pulled out her gun too and held it for protection.

Few minutes later,the Chief bodyguard came back and said to her "Ma'am you need to go inside,until the person is caught,it isn't safe for you out here".

But Luna Glared at him and said "You couldn't catch him? But the shadow was right there"

"Before we could reach ma'am,it was gone but we will stay all night around the building and some of my men too will continue the search" The Chief Bodyguard said to her.

"Make sure you all keep watch,especially that of the entire windows In this house".

She said to the him.

Then the driver drove her in.

This is the news at 10pm,A very wealthy and influential Business man Mr Mario logan was found headless in his private jet today at 8:00pm other unknown bodies were found too ...

The news continued faintly in the background while Aria's laughter filled the entire room.

The mansion was glittering while maids and servants could be seen walking around doing their jobs,Even as late as that the entire house looked lively.Aria was watching the news when she heard when the information was said by the Newscaster.

Headless in his jet,What could be more embarrassing?She said to No one in particular and continue laughing.

Mrs Ava de la alta was also watching the international news while sipping her wine when the information was said by the caster,she scoffed and said in a low tone "Aria such a bastard".

She knew immediately that it was her since Aria had partner with Mario for a while and her partnership with people never end in good terms.

Luna couldn't sleep,she kept on thinking about the shadow.Not that she feared that someone might be stalking her,since she have always been stalked by enemies.But she suspect that she might know who it was and that feared her.

The Shadow with the hat on describe someone and if what she suspects is true,then it would be terrible for her because this is an enemy within.
