Path Of Power

Life is full of shit and annoyance , the strong rule and the weak have no right . This was especially true in cultivation worlds where Isamu acquired his ambition of power .

He was born in a farmers household and had average talent in terms of cultivation . His earlier life he played it easy thinking this place the same as his previous world. He fell in love with the most beautiful girl in that village and eventually married her. 

In fact thinking back now that was pure luck. She could have chosen anyone better than him but he was the lucky man . They eventually had a kid , started a restaurant together that flourished .

It was the perfect life but there is no such thing as a perfect life in a cultivation world. 

An arrogant cultivator one day arrived and their little baby girl unintentionally provoked him by accidentally spilling water on him . What followed next no amount of begging could stop it. 

The villagers scattered away as the cultivator killed their child in front of them , beat him up then raped his wife in front of him . He let them go and went away to god knows where. A few days later , his wife committed suicide . She just couldn't live with the depression and guilt. 

Isamu then known as Chun Ma henceforth lived as a beggar . The people who had looked up to him now undermined him and the people he and his wife had helped out of the kindness of their heart now beat him up .

For 10 years he drowned himself in grief begging for scraps . Depression hit him but he could just not bring himself to commit suicide . 

However everything changed one day , not out of revenge or anger but out of a sense of justice . Ironic that the Heavenly Demon Chun Ma was once a hero who protected the weak.

The leaves got blown away by the strong gust of wind originating from a sword. The ground shook with every swing . Animals scattered in all different directions as they felt the pressure. Isamu stood at the centre of it all . He was breathing heavily yet rhythmically , he was full of sweat and he was repeatedly swinging his katana in set intervals.

The ground beneath him had caved in and with every swing it further caved in . Time slowly progressed as the only action he did was swing his katana over and over .

The sun in the middle of the sky visibly set until it was no more . The lamps down the hill started lighting and the houses soon followed. 

Isamu finally stopped . His controlled breathing crumbled as he stabbed the sword to the ground . He then unceremoniously threw himself to the ground. Sweat mixed with the earth's dirt .

His aching body slowly regenerated . The energy he had accumulated in cultivation quickly healed up his torn body . In an hour's time he would be whole .

Soon his breathing stabled . He reached to his phone to see anything new . Rias had texted him asking him if he was alright .

Isamu exited the chat group . His body had already recuperated enough . He stood up and dusted some of the dust of his garment and hair.

He approached his katana that was imbued to the ground , he released it from the ground and inspected it . As expected , the blade had cracks in it . It was a normal Katana with nothing special on it . And with the constant power he imbued on to it and the powerful swings , it obviously bound to break sooner than later.

He felt a gust of wind to his left and suddenly became more cautious however his body did not portray his hyperawareness.

He then felt another gust of wind and with lightning quick reflexes cut the air beside him . He heard a thud then blood seem to sprinkle out of thin air. However slowly the invisible creature became visible. 

The perpetrator was a human , a mage of power equal to 9th qi gathering stage . He was a blonde haired man who seemed in his mid thirties . He was no longer breathing.

Isamu let out a small smile . It seemed he was correct in his assumption . Someone wanted him dead.

' This work was made by someone afraid to be found out so the Sitri family is out of the picture . The Sitri would make a more direct approach because they are supposedly ' protecting ' me . So this is most likely the work of the Gremory household , Sirzechs to be exact . I felt his malice yesterday , he definitely wants me dead. 

It seems that the protagonist aura of Issei has already taken effect . Those damn protagonists are hard to deal with like Chang Ming . However they can still be handled . This might seem like a bad thing to most supposed antagonist but to me this is a blessing . Issei will serve as a good punching bag for as long as I am in DxD . ' Isamu thought. 

Earlier without the group he would definitely be tempted to nip the bud before it blooms but as of now he was certain he could escape if things went to shit , not that it would but prevention is better than cure. 

The group also gave him a training chamber aka missions.
