While Black Zetsu was hesitating on his next step of action, the situation of Nagato became even worse; he was slowly running out of chakra, thus unable to properly control the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.

Nevertheless, despite the current unfavorable situation, Black Zetsu still looked at everything through a calm and logical mind.

'I have no problem being more patient and wait longer to execute my plans, but Mother cannot wait any longer. It won't be long before the Osutsuki clan notices that something is wrong with this world and send someone to investigate.

'And if Mother is still in her current state by then, then she will have no chance to survive--let alone fight back.'

After thinking like this, Black Zetsu made his decision. But he did not immediately act. Instead, he used his super-senses to discover if there is anyone around him that is controlling everything from behind the scene.

After not discovering anything, he focused his attention on the Hanzo that was fighting Nagato as he could tell that this was the real one; then he waited.

As soon as Nagato ran out of chakra, Hanzo rushed to gouge out his eyes. However, a few centimeters from his goal, a black shadow suddenly came from the ground and instantly took over half of his body, completely controlling him.

Hanzo tried to resist, but it was futile. Suddenly, a massive amount of chakra that seemed to be sealed inside his body rushed out, and Hanzo tried to use it to regain control over his body. Unfortunately, it was of no use.

Meanwhile, during the entire situation, Black Zetsu was alert to any movement in his surrounding in case someone sneak-attacked him; however, he did not notice any sudden attack, and when he did, it was too late.

Hanzo's body exploded into countless pieces, and countless strange symbols manifested from him and enveloped Black Zetsu.

'Eight Trigram Sealing Style?' was the last thought of Black Zetsu before he was sealed away; he knew that he was in trouble as this powerful seal from the Uzumaki clan was powerful enough to seal any of the Tailed Beasts.

After being sealed, Black Zetsu found himself in a bright red space. He first looked around to see whether there was anyone, then he raised his head.

There he saw, two red eyes standing on top of him, and even before he could react, he was placed in a Genjutsu.

However, this Genjutsu was special as Black Zetsu did not even notice that he was caught in it, nor did he perceive any change from his body; he did not even remember seeing those eyes.

Soon afterward, a masked man appeared in the same room, and after seeing him, Black Zetsu asked: "My lord, have you come to rescue me?"

"Yes, however, beforehand, I need some information from you." Without hesitation, Black Zetsu gave the information asked.

As for Akimitsu, he secretly smiled. Uchiha Shisui's Mangekyou Sharingan can change the will of a person without them even knowing it. Then, that person will follow every command given to them. Of course, after being used, the eyes will be close for ten years.

Akimitsu wanted the knowledge on how to evolve his Mangekyou Sharingan. Truthfully, he already knew the answer: it was simply by having the chakra of Indra and Asura. To be precise, by using the chakra of an Osutsuki, a branch member can awaken their own Dojutsu.

However, Akimitsu also knew that this was not a simple thing as Madara took decades before awakening the Rinnegan after having both Indran and Asura Chakra. Akimitsu wanted to find a way to shorten the time.

Although the Osusutki clan could live for thousands of years, as a branch member, he still had the lifespan of an ordinary human. He did not want to waste time if he did not have to.

After getting the information he wanted, he asked Black Zetsu the whereabouts of Madara Uchiha's corpse, then he gave him some instruction before letting him leave.

Once Black Zetsu was out of the field, he saw Nagato and Konan's bodies on the ground. He collected them before leaving. Soon after that, Obito Uchiha regrouped with Black Zetsu.

"What happened?" he asked.

"It was an ambushed."

"I know this. What I'm asking is where is Nagato?"

Black Zetsu glanced at Obito; this guy did not even ask how he escaped from the ambush.

"He is dead," replied Black Zetsu. "And his eyes are gone too."

"What? So what are we going to do? Without those eyes, we cannot fulfill our plans!"

'And I cannot create a better world for Rin.'

"You do not need to worry. Madara planned in case such a thing happened; he left a summoning Jutsu that could recall his eyes back just in case something went wrong."

"That's good news." Although Obito said so, he was not really that happy. As he already thought about executing the "Eye of the Moon Plan" without Madara, so he must find a way to completely control the Rinnegan when the time arrives.

"How long will that take?"

"It could be a few months or a few years, all we could do now is wait, and take control of the Akatsuki in the meantime."

"Then, let's go."

Meanwhile, in a secret location, Akimitsu had just implemented the Rinnegan into his eyes and he was experimenting with their powers. Then, he received news from Black Zetsu that Obito was not suspicious of his words, and he smiled.

"The Akatsuki's Eye of the Moon Plan is necessary as it will greatly benefit me in the future. However, I need Madara's Rinnegan especially for something else, so, I will have to cultivate another pair of Rinnegan to lend Obito. But now, I should focus on myself first."

He then looked at the two corpses in front of him: one was Madara Uchiha, and the other Senju Hashirama--the reincarnation of Indra and Asura. Using Byagugan in his hands, he located both Indran and Asura's Chakra from Madara's body, then he used the Preta Path power of the Rinnegan to absorb it.

Using the method he learned from Black Zetsu, he started the process of awakening his own Rinnegan. Of course, the process will not be instant, but it also will not take decades. Also, Akimitsu did not involve Orochimaru in the process as he did not trust that snake. The only reason that he did not kill him immediately was that he might still need his help in the future.

After he finished, Akimitsu looked at the two corpses in front of him. Logically speaking, he did not need the First Kage's body as Madara's body already had both Chakra that he needed, but he acquired it too just in case.

After that, Akimitsu left to proceed for his next plans.
