The Beginning (part 2) The Birth of the Olympic gods

Kronos reigned supreme over the universe, after dethroning his father and liberating the titans, and just like his father -the god Uranus, Kronos began his own tyrannical reign over the world and with the support of the titans, he had no rival. However, despite having supreme power the titan lived tormented by the curse invoked by his father who prophesied that one of Kronos's sons will be the one responsible for his fall just as Kronos was responsible fall of his father. Kronos was willing to do anything to prevent that outcome. The sovereign was married to titanide Rhea-a divinity loved by all.

The queen of the titans soon had her first daughter, and this caused an awakening in Kronos, an awakening of his most monstrous side. Rhea had given birth to a new kind of divinity that seemed superior to the previous generation, and so Kronos asked to grab his first daughter named Hestia who became one of the most loving deities ever, However, in the child's eyes Kronos saw his most terrible future, the future that he had been continuously tormented by, and then a hideous impulse emerged which made him devour his daughter.

Every time Rhea would give birth to a new offspring, Kronos would take them from the arms of their mother who helplessly tried to prevent the tyrant from devouring one more of her children, she begged and begged but all to no avail, she could not soften the hardened heart of Kronos, the children one after the other were successively devoured and so Rhea promised herself that she would not allow that monster to keep on devouring her children and so when she got pregnant again, se devised a plan to save her baby from her terrible husband.

Rhea would hide in a cave on the island of Crete where she intended to give birth, away from Kronos, and so she gave birth to a beautiful child who had incredible power and Rhea believed that the women of destiny had woven a glorious future for her newborn son who was given the name ZEUS and so Rhea left her son in the care of the nymphs and the Curetes-special demons who continuously had to beat their shields hard so as to muffle the sounds of the powerful cries of the divine baby Zeus.

To Prevent Kronos for becoming suspicious, Rhea wrapped a baby sized stone in a cloak and took it to Kronos who was waiting for her, ready to devour another child and so he received the false baby delivered by Rhea and Kronos quickly swallowed the stone without any remorse whatsoever and without even blinking while Rhea cried on the ground. However, this time they weren't tears of sadness but of Joy because she had successfully saved her son's life.

On the island of Crete, Zeus was breastfed with the milk of the Amalthea goat, strengthening himself every day and as he grew, he was constantly informed about the things happening in the world by a powerful eagle which would become his sacred bird.

Zeus grew into a powerful deity, ready to fulfil his destiny. As an adult, Zeus was unexpectedly visited by Medes-a wise deity who gave him a decisive gift for his journey and Medes revealed to Zeus the terrible fate in which his siblings were subjected to-imprisoned in the stomach of Kronos their father but with a potion which was the gift from Medes, Zeus could free the other gods and so Zeus in disguise went to Mount Othrys-the fortress of the titans, there he offered the potion to Kronos promising Kronos that it was a delightful delicacy. Kronos feeling invincible did not believe that anyone would dare to plan anything against him, so he not only accepted the potion but also proceeded to drink all of it and only then did he realize that it tasted different, and he began to feel Nauseous causing him to Vomit all his children: Hestia, Hera, Demeter, Hades and Poseidon. They were already adults as they had grown in the stomach of their titan father, and they had the desire for revenge. Kronos also vomited the stone he had been tricked with.

Zeus with his siblings at his side, led a revolt that would change the fate of the universe.....

And another cliff hanger, this chapter was really intense huh, if you liked it then let me know, show me how much you like it *wink* *wink*
