The Ordinary Transporter - Chapter 3

Ryze widened his eyes after looking at the ceiling of the room.

'Almost forgot, I got transported.'

The lore of general Elizabeth comes rushing back to Ryze. He stands and gets out of the room after changing.

"My general is stronger than you!" Ryze's friend, Jason, laughs arrogantly after successfully beating Ryze's general, Elizabeth, in the game.

"She sucks..." Ryze mutters after losing most of his troops in the battle.

Ryze and Jason wanted to know whether which hero is the strongest if both armies have the same level hero, the same number of types, and the number of troops. It didn't take long before General Arnold dominate all other generals on the battlefield.

At the moment, Ryze stops using other generals during the crucial battlefront. Leaving behind the rest of the generals in the kingdom and didn't train them at all. Investing most of his experience gain to general Arnold instead.

It is one of the reasons why Ryze continues to refresh the general's page expecting to find Arnold so that he could recruit him.

Sensing that someone is staring at her, Elizabeth turns her head.

Ryze's body becomes stiffer the nearer he gets to Elizabeth. The piercing gaze from her keeps him in check.

Elizabeth's mouth turns upwards as she greets Ryze.

"Good morning, do you have anything to report?"

"Morning, I have a confession to make."

"What kind?" Elizabeth's mouth twitches. Immediately, bringing her hand close to her mouth.

"It's about your father. I, I can help him if you allow me to."

The moment the sentence left Ryze's mouth, Ryze feels something is wrong, his knees started shaking, he starts to lose control of his body and as if pressure is weighing him down.

Ryze flinches after seeing a death glare coming from Elizabeth. He quickly avoids having eye contact and continues to look down. Not knowing what is happening, Elizabeth opens her mouth.

"Piss off."

Elizabeth walks away after staring down at the young man before her. She clenched her fist, she could have killed the man before her and will get away just fine but at the last moment decided not to.

'Not worth my time.'

Only after Elizabeth has walked off did Ryze can breathe properly.

'Did I remembered wrong? I could have sworn that it is one of the important quests to be completed to raise her strength drastically.'

Remembering back, the game had an update, as all players were using general Arnold, they decided to buff other heroes. On a condition that the player would need to speak to them and hear their worries and get a quest.

Once the player completes the quest, the hero will gain an additional 20% bonus to all of their stats. In other words, balancing the game to allow all heroes to be able to fight Arnold without losing.

'Let's see, did I receive the quest for...'

Ryze's eyes widened and as if fear stuck him, he continues to refresh the page.

'Fail. All failed?'

A list of quests appears before him but he is unable to interact as all of them are greyed out. Ryze manages to find a way to bring down the quest to get more info.

[User iAmGod has failed the following quest: Loving Father. As a result Elizabeth's Father, Cale Wyatt has passed away.]

Ryze continues to browse through all of the questline.

[User iAmGod has failed the following quest]

[User iAmGod has failed the following quest]

The more he reads the worse he feels about himself and understands what is currently happening.

He got transported 5 years later within the game. All of the events within the game had already happened. Which means no more events will be happening in the future. At the same time, all of the negative consequences for failing the quest had already happened.

One of them was the death of Elizabeth's father.

The mere thoughts of the death glare from Elizabeth have been enough to send a shudder of fear on Ryze. With little option, Ryze went to the cemetery.

Ryze drops to his knees after seeing Cale Wyatt and Arnold's burial.

'I'm sorry.'

Not knowing that on the other side, Elizabeth staring at Ryze. She flinches after she reads Ryze's lips and he said 'I am so sorry'.

'What's wrong with him? It's not his fault. My father...'

"FATHER! COME BACK!"

"Ellie! Go! As the commander in charge, lead the soldiers out from here. You are the only person that I can count on! General Arnold is holding the enemy down if you don't strike the enemy fortress now, everything we have done will be useless!" Cale did not bother to look at his daughter's face before charging back to the battlefield.

A sigh comes from Ryze as he rises to his feet feeling useless about his situation.

'Oh god, shouldn't you transport me to the beginning of the game? Now, what am I going to do?'

Ryze closes his eyes to think. 5 years had passed since then, the game is all about enticing the player to manage a kingdom, with an end goal of becoming an emperor.

Is there already an emperor managing the whole nation?

Looking back at his level 6 castle, wouldn't there be a level 30 max castle in the surrounding?

No events, means, there is nothing interesting for the big kingdom to get attracted to. Most likely, they will scout around to find something for entertainment. By now, news should have been spread that a god had descended.

'I've got to make the kingdom stronger as soon as possible.'

Ryze immediately sends out most of the generals out to defeat the monsters nearby.

'I'm sorry guys, I don't think I can afford to let...'

Ryze flinches. As soon as he turns around, he made eye contact with someone that he didn't expect to meet. Elizabeth's stoic expression ambush him.

Elizabeth continues to stare at him. This continues for a few seconds before Ryze sees that her mouth finally opens.

"You..."

"General!"

Both Ryze and Elizabeth turn towards the messenger. The man appears to be desperate as he urgently informs the message received to Elizabeth without realizing that Ryze is around.

"General, orders from the pope, you are to defeat the monster at the following coordi... AHH!" While the messenger was relaying the orders from the pope, he realized that there was a young man behind Elizabeth.

The messenger changing expression from surprise to deathly pale and last, shivering in fear.

Ryze frown as he suddenly feels that he heard something that he shouldn't know.

"Bothersome."

Ryze unconsciously voices out his opinion after seeing both the messenger and Elizabeth turns to him.

"What are we going to do about him?" The messenger looked scared.

"Forget this happen, or I will silence you myself."

Ryze widened his eyes in a split of a second, he didn't expect that Elizabeth had such a character.

"You, follow me." Elizabeth turns to Ryze for a moment before rushing back to the barrack.

Ryze passed by, ignoring the messenger that continues to shiver in fear while looking at Ryze sympathetically.

'What's wrong with him? Nevermind, I got to deal with that first.'

Surprisingly, not once did Elizabeth converse with Ryze. As soon as they reached the barrack, she left him alone and direct her men to get ready for battle.

The battle ended with no lives lost.

Ryze put the thoughts behind as he continues to carry the monster pelts.

Unfortunately, it didn't take long before everything that happened comes back to haunt him.

Leaking killing intent and a dagger to his neck send chills to his spine.

"What do you get from threatening a transporter?" Ryze voice out his complaint hoping that it will let him live for another day.

"You heard something that you do not suppose to know."

"Elizabeth?" Ryze asked.

"Why are you surprised?"

The pressure that was weighing him down was lifted.

'What? Why Elizabeth? My identity is not blown? That means I shouldn't know about how the Pope is the one that ordering the people around.'

"It's inevitable."

Ryze didn't realize, but upon hearing the word, Elizabeth flinches.

'Shouldn't everyone know that? What about yesterday's event?.'

Ryze unconsciously smiles after figuring it out but his smile broke after Elizabeth drops something. A head. Ryze recognizes who was it. The messenger that he met.

"What do I have to do?" Ryze realizes that Elizabeth is giving him a chance, seeing the messenger head means that she silenced him so that no one knew that Ryze heard a secret.

Elizabeth dares to bring troubles to herself for him. She wants him to do something for her or she could silence him and inform the pope that the messenger is a traitor and she found out.

"You seem to already know the secret all along. Tell me who informed you, then I will let you live."

"Is that all?"

Ryze twitch unconsciously after feeling a cold steel touches his neck.

"Swear to the death god that you are telling the truth." A dark aura emerges from Elizabeth's fingertips which envelopes Ryze but she winces and enlarged her eyes upon seeing that the aura was instead absorbed by Ryze.

"Y-You. What are you? Who are you?" Elizabeth backs herself away, unconsciously drop her dagger to the floor.

Ryze is struck with confusion.

'What is going on?'

'Why does she appears to be scared that my body absorbs the black thing?'

'Is my identity exposed? I am not a death god though.'

"I apologize for harming you, priest." Elizabeth stands formally while giving a bow.

'Priest?'

"Huh?" Ryze felt that too many things are happening for one day. He rather not be involved with politics. His hands are full with managing the kingdom.

Elizabeth flinches and trembles, she forms the misunderstanding that Ryze is disappointed in her.

"G-Go, don't bother me. Continue with your great work."

"I understand. We meet again tomorrow." Elizabeth smile as she picks up the head of the messenger before closing the door behind her.

'No, I don't want to see you anymore.'

Ryze unable to voice out his complaint in fear that Elizabeth will turn back to kill him.

'I don't think I can get any sleep today.'

I got to stop rewriting, so here it goes.
