**Yi San POV** 

The next morning I opened my eyes and I was alone in the tenth. 

"where is Kang Yun", I murmured. 

"Kang Yun, KangYun", I called out but no response. 

I managed to stand and head outside the tenth but he was nowhere still. 

Everyone was getting on with their daily task not minding me, I found a familiar face among the guards and asked

"do you see my bodyguard", I asked. 

He shakes his head, meaning No. 

"He can't leave me here alone so where did he run off to? We have a lot to discuss this morning", I said to myself. 

Suddenly there was a loud noise of joy from outside the village gate. 

"leader, the beast is dead, the crown prince and his men killed it", one villager said as he ran towards the leader's house. 

With shock I saw my bodyguard entering with Rang Min by his side, they were very happy but I didn't understand what was going on. 

I ran towards them and stopped midway when I saw the size of the beast they carried. 

"what is this, why would you carry this into the village," I asked him. 

"Your Highness beast has been killing and injuring people on their way to get copper for business and hunting, so we decided to kill it and earn our stay in the village", Rang Min explained. 

"You should have explained this to me first, I should go with you", I said 

"No it's okay my prince, we did it at dawn when you were sleeping", Kang Yun explained too 

"When next you want to do this kind of mission, I ordered you to tell me first", I command him. 

"ok your highness", he replied. 

"I did not see you as a slave or servant, now you are two brothers", I confessed. 

They both looked at me in shock and smiled as they bowed again. 

I was shocked with what I said but they have been where brothers can't reach for me. They earned it. 

Before we could finish our discussion and before I could subdue my anger, plenty of villagers surrounded us, singing and dancing around the bear. They are very happy. 

"the commander is calling you and your servant immediately", an elder beside me said to me. 

I look at him with confusion as I expect them to be happy. I whispered to Kang Yun and Rang Min's ears too and we headed towards the leader's office. With the look on the elder's face, we are in trouble. 

We entered and sat around the table as the elders were already in the room waiting for us. 

Only you should sit, your servants must stand", an elder said facing me. 

I looked around the room and saw the anxiousness in their face, their young physician was standing at the corner near the commander giving me a deadly look. 

"who killed the Bear", an elder asked immediately. 

"I did", Kang Yun answered instantly. 

"your master gave you the order", an elder asked again. 

"No, we did it ourselves", Rang Min answered now. 

"So your master was unaware", he asked again. 

"yes my Lord", Kang Yun answer again. 

"We have a leader here and you carried out an important mission without her knowledge, you all deserve death", the young physician blasts at us angrily. 

"the two of you will be flogged 30 times in the market immediately and you will be in house arrest for the rest of the day 

"I don't understand this, the beast is terrorizing the community, why should we be punished for killing it", Rang Min asked as he was a part of the community before us. 

"you should ask me about it before, what if you fail and it follows you back in here, did you know how many lives will be lost?", an elder asked us. 

I look at Kang Yun and Rang Min and they are both staring at themselves. They look rejected and sad. I felt helpless for the first time in my life as I couldn't protect them. I have always given out orders and received them. 

I wanted to have some discussion with the leader but she stormed out with her guards immediately so I followed her. The villagers are already waiting for us. They have been dancing and singing our names. 

"We are happy the princess is here, now we can do our business in peace now", one of them screams out. 

"yes, I nearly died last time when the beast attacked us in the forest", another said. 

We are glad he and his soldier are here"

"he mushy very strong"

"I heard his bodyguard can take on 100 soldiers by himself. 

"I heard the prince trains with wolves and jackals in the borders when he was small"

"he is different from his father"

"he can protect us"

"he sacrificed his life for our own and returned alive, I wish he becomes the king" 

They go about praising me and my servants, and the leader paused for some minutes listening to them. Then she continued her walk and I followed immediately. 

They carried Kang Yun and Rang Min on their shoulders and continued singing they must not know their commander commanded them to be flogged. 

Before I could be knocked on her tenth a servant approached me. 

"what did you want", he asked me. 

"I need private time with the leader", I replied. 

"she is in a meeting with the physician, you can't go in now", he said again 

"I will wait here till they are done", I said again and stayed near the tenth. 

I can hear them arguing. 

"we need to let these people go, they are a risk to you and our village, what if the beast escapes into the village", an elder said with anger. 

Watch your tone, you are in front of the leader", the young physician cautioned him 

"you should join me in this, what if they do something next and we can't control it", the elder said. 

"as you can see uncle, I have punished them and I am sure they won't do it again, I need a break from this, I need to rest", she finally speaks calmly as ever. 

"come back later or we can continue on the next meeting", the young physician said later. 

There was a silence for a few minutes before I could hear a footstep approaching. So I quickly stood back. He looked at me with hatred. 

"my brother died because of you, can't live in the same village as you and you will be the one to leave", he blunts out and leaves immediately. 

"we need to act on the crown prince fast, our elders are getting angry and some are even questioning your authority", I heard the physician so I moved near the tenth again. 

"it's because I am a female, I will soon end that", she replied like she had a plan. 

"Don't worry too much about me, the people are happy with them and they won't watch them being flogged, what should we do?", he asked him. 

"It's true, we should just lock them in the dungeon for a day without food ", he suggests. I don't know why he hates me this much. 

"ok but leave the crown prince out, only four arrests will do", she commands. 

"I should leave you to rest", the physician said and left. 

I act normal so he won't suspect I listened to them. 

"I could see your shadow leaning on the tenth, did you enjoy our conversation", he asked me as he came out. 

I couldn't speak, he always acted like a ghost, how did he suspect, 

He smiled and left immediately. 

I entered the leader's room and found her bowing down in depression, felt pity for her instantly. I think I have grown feelings for my enemy. 

"can I discuss it with you", I spoke up so she could come back to reality. 

"what more did you want to say, you have caused enough damage", she replied. 

I don't know where this feeling and courage comes from. I draw a chair near her and sit. 

"what is wrong, can't you leave the village affair to the physician, it seems he knows a lot about politics", I said calmly. And she looks into my eyes. 

Gosh, her year is white and clear like a crystal, and, her lips are round and smooth. I have never seen her this close before. 

"my father founded this village, I am the rightful heir and Gu Won(the physician) didn't want me to step down", she explained. 

I was still in my imagination, I couldn't stop thinking about her lips. She caught me looking at her lips as we locked eyes but I looked away instantly. 

"Now, what did you want to talk about ", she asked. 

"I.. I.. Don't know, I will come back", I said as I walked to the door. 

"can you stay with me for some time ", she said sadly. 

I paused for a minute, I turned to her, and before I could think she kissed my lips. I left this world into her fantasy world. I don't want to stop again.
