Recruitment

This morning I came to my guild office to prepare everything needed for the recruitment later. But it didn't matter that now in front of my office there were almost 100 hunters who came to register for my guild.

I also called my other members to help me today. Ji-Hae comes with her older sister, and Minsu comes with Jae Yun.

"Hello everyone, thank you for coming today. Starting today you will all officially become members of the Darkness guild." I welcome all of them.

"Thank you for inviting us to come." Minsu and Jae Yun answered.

"T-Thanks for inviting me too." Ji-Hae's sister said shyly.

"Today we will recruit a lot of hyungnim people!" Ji-Hae said excitedly.

This is a good start, I see that they all have good spirits as members of my guild. I don't know how many people we have to recruit, I don't think we can recruit everyone who comes. There are too many of them, and I don't think I need that many members to start this guild.

"By the way, Ji-Hae's older sister what's your name?" I ask.

"N-My name is Hwan Ji-Eun, just call me Ji-Eun and I have a Conjurer class. I'm now a B-Rank hunter."

"Woah that's amazing, the Conjurer class is a class similar to Summoner, but more towards support." I replied.

"Woah we have 2 members with support abilities now." Minsu said.

"My older sister usually uses a doll she made herself to be her summon." Ji-Hae said.

I didn't expect that Ji-Hae's older sister would be someone of the Conjurer class. Besides that, their faces are quite similar, except that his older sister looks calmer than his. Besides that now I have members with good compositions to be used as a party.

Even though Ji-Hae is still a C-Rank hunter now, but if he takes the retest for a hunter license I think he can get a B-Rank. And for Minsu and Jae Yun I hope they can increase their rank to C-Rank.

Since it's almost 10 o'clock and we're about to start recruiting those people I have to start making plans with all my members.

"Okay, now let's talk about recruiting. How many hunters should we recruit for now?" I ask.

"I think for now we only need 20 members, so we only need to recruit 15 more people." Ji-Hae replied.

"Meaning 20 people including me, I think that's a pretty good idea. I also don't want to have too many members for now." I replied.

"Then what are the criteria for recruitment?" Minsu asked.

"I have no problem with D-Rank hunters, just make sure they have a high fighting spirit. And also I need members who are loyal to our guild." I answered.

"Then we have to think about the hunters' salaries." Ji-Hae said.

"What do you think is a suitable salary for a D-Rank hunter?" I asked them all.

"Guilds will generally pay low rank hunters based on the number of raids completed in a month." Ji-Eun said.

"Hmm, this is a little confusing." I said.

"Then how about 5 million won per month, with a 20% bonus in every completed raid." Ji-Hae said.

"Ohh that's pretty good, then what about the higher rank hunters?" I ask.

"Since in one raid of C-Rank portal we can get around 50-60 million won then I think the suitable salary is around 10 million won? With a 20% bonus too for each raid." Ji-Hae said.

"Okay that's good, our current guild income depends on the mana stones we get in each raid. I can get quite a lot of mana stones in my solo raids so it's fine." I said.

"Later I will try to find sponsors for our guild hyungnim!" Ji-Hae said excitedly.

We then continued our discussion, and unexpectedly it was already 10 o'clock. For now we will try to recruit 15 hunters who are the most suitable for our guild. I didn't expect to find a high rank hunter, but I have no problem with a low rank hunter either. Since there are almost 100 hunters waiting in front of our building, we will start recruiting now.

Then I and my other members went down to the ground floor. And it was really crowded there, I quickly told them to calm down and line up properly.

"Please calm down everyone! We will start recruiting now, line up into 2 lines and enter when asked to enter."

Then we started recruiting those people. Hunter - the hunter entered alternately. And of course not only hunters who want to join here, there are people like secretaries, or managers who want to join as well.

I'm not very familiar with recruitment related matters, so I rely on Ji-Hae and Ji-Eun to help me with all of this.

It's true that in a guild a good manager is also needed to manage all the work in the guild. In addition, members such as the head of finance, or others seem to be needed. But I told Ji-Hae that she should take care of things like that because I trust her.

After about 15 minutes we still haven't found a good candidate for our guild. However, there were still a lot of people waiting in line. I don't really have high hopes, but I hope to find a B-Rank or A-Rank hunter. However my strength is limited, I need someone strong enough to help me in the future.

Ji-Hae is strong but because of his Trickster class he's not very suitable for big fights. But because he has a lot of knowledge about monsters he is very useful in the group.

We finally received some D-Rank hunters, because so far almost all of the candidates are D-Rank hunters. And we have recruited 2 people, and there are also about 3 people who applied to become managers.

"Why are you interested in joining our guild?" I asked the applicant.

"I'm your fan, besides I have good skills as a manager so I hope to help you in managing your guild!" Answer the applicant.

"Then how much salary do you think would suit you?" I ask.

"I don't think much about it, I will accept whatever salary is given." replied the applicant.

"If one day my guild has to fight the world, are you ready?" I asked seriously.

"Of course I'm ready!" The applicant answered without hesitation.

"Okay, what's your name?" I ask.

"My name is Sang Ye-Jin."

I ended up hiring a manager too, I wasn't really expecting the answer regarding fighting the world. But I'll let it go, for now I have to strengthen the core of my guild. I hope I recruited the right people.

After that, we interviewed several candidates again, but nothing was interesting. But suddenly an applicant who is an A-Rank hunter comes.

"I really want to join this guild! I'm an A-Rank hunter with a Paladin class." He said that seriously.

"Why are you so interested in this guild? Isn't it just a new guild?" Ji-Hae asked.

"I firmly believe that joining Lee Won Myung's hunter guild is the right thing, he showed me something different from other hunters."

"Alright, then how much salary do you want to join our guild?"

An A-Rank Hunter should be very expensive, I didn't expect to find an A-Rank hunter here. I have to get it anyway.

"I don't need to be paid, just let me raid with you guys and I'll be enough with that." Answer him.

"Are you sure?" I ask.

"Of course!" He answered without hesitation.

"What's your name?" I ask.

"My name is Gabriel, Park Gabriel. My father is from America that's why I have a name like this."

After that we talked for a while, and finally we and he agreed with all that. And he officially became a member of our guild.

Once again, I didn't expect to find an A-Rank hunter joining my guild. Lots of people tried to join our guild, there were even some foreigners. However, it is still difficult to find a suitable hunter for our guild.

I've rejected all applicants who want to be our manager, because I don't think it takes more than 1 manager to manage our guild. And also since my guild isn't that big right now I don't want to complicate things.

Finally after 1 hour we managed to recruit 5 D-Rank hunters, 3 C-Rank hunters and 1 B-Rank hunter. It's actually pretty good, we even found someone with a good class. Since most of these suitors were young, they had a lot of potential to become stronger.

Luca Simmons, a B-Rank hunter we recruited, has an Assassin class, so our strength has increased quite a lot.

Besides that, there was also a hunter from Japan who joined us, Nakao Yui. He said she has lived in Korea since she was little so she is very fluent in Korean. And also she has a Bounty Hunter class, so even though she's still a C-Rank hunter she should be able to reach B-Rank easily.

Unfortunately we didn't make it to 20 people. But now that my guild has 18 members, I think it's good enough for now. It's a shame we have to end recruitment now, as it's already 4pm.

But this way our guild will be able to carry out guild activities well, I will form a group to do raids and also give them good raid equipment. I will raid high rank portals with capable members, whereas I will give raid training to low rank members.

Thanks to Ji-Hae, without his help I would have had a lot of trouble today. Additionally Ji-Hae said that he would try to get some raid gear from his company. That's a very extraordinary thing, because then we will spend less.

The reason I founded this guild is also to help me take care of my family. And also I want my guild to be able to protect Korea from those monsters. This is the beginning, I will make this the strongest guild in Korea.
