I'm Stuck

After the portal raid last time, I've tried to increase my level by hunting in various E-Rank portals. It's been almost two weeks, but I haven't seen any drastic improvement. I don't understand at all, is this the effect of the dark stone, or maybe I'm not suitable to hunt in E-Rank portals anymore. But I'm not sure I can solo a portal raid on a D-Rank portal.
