Competitors

Another few hours passed and the day of the tournament was finally here. Everyone was called to the auditorium at 8:30 in the morning. Rem, Karina, Yukino, Yukio, and Kaito are currently in the auditorium with everyone else. Although almost everyone in the whole school was in the auditorium, there were still many more seating areas. A few minutes after everyone arrived, the principal entered the auditorium and teleported to the stage.

"Ahem!" The principal cleared her throat loud enough for everyone to hear.

Everyone stopped chattering and focused on the principal.

"As some of you may know, every year, Starim Academy would have two tournaments. One of the tournaments is being held right now. This tournament is at the beginning of the year and there will be another towards the end of the year. Obviously, the higher your rank, the better the rewards. Please note that only the top 3 teams shall receive the rewards. Before I explain the rules for this tournament, here are all the teams who are competing in Starim Academy's school tournament!" The principal said, using her magic so everyone could hear her clearly.

"The first team is Dark Knights! Ray, Alexander, Oliver, Ava, and Celine! Please come up to this stage." The principal said.

The 5 members of Dark Knights stood up and walked up the stage. All the boys in this team were very handsome. Ray was the most handsome one of them all. Ray has dark blue hair. His eyes are dark blue as well. When Rem saw Ray, she could see through his disguise. Instead of having dark blue hair and eyes, Ray actually had light blond hair and icy blue, clear, ocean eyes. Even in his disguise, he was still handsome.

'Why is he hiding his real appearance?' Rem wondered.

Alexander has dark orange hair and light orange eyes. His top left tooth can be seen whenever he opens his mouth. Oliver has brown hair and a pair of blue eyes.

'Another one... He's also hiding his appearance!" Rem thought, looking at Oliver.

Oliver's real appearance was having white hair and a pair of grey eyes.

The girls in Dark Knights were beautiful. Ava has dark blue hair and purple eyes while Celine has light brown hair and forest green eyes.

"DK!!!" A few students yelled.

"Aren't they the winners who won the 2 tournaments last year?" A student asked.

"You're right! They won 2 tournaments already!" The student next to the person who asked the question answered.

"I wonder if they're going to become first place this year as well..." Another student said.

"The second team is Ver! Rem, Karina, Yukino, Yukio, and Kaito! Please come up to this stage." The principal announced.

Rem stood up and walked towards the stage while the other members of her group followed.

"Who are they?" A student asked.

"I have no idea. Are they first years? I haven't seen a whole team of first years in my whole life!!!" A student answered.

"They don't know what they're doing!" Another student commented.

"Wait... Isn't that Kaito, the principal's son? He's participating? Why would he? I thought he was never interested in these things..!" Someone else in the crowd said.

A couple of minutes passed and the principal finished announcing all the teams. There are 12 teams in total.

"Now that I finally finished announcing all the names and teams, each team will introduce themselves, starting from the first team I announced." The principal said.

"Good morning. I'm the leader and main attacker of this team. My name is Ray, I hope everyone is doing well." Ray greeted, bowing like a gentleman.

Many girls screamed excitedly while some boys glared at Ray. The others all admired Ray.

"Name's Alexander! You may call me Alex if you want. I'm this team's second main attacker." Alexander said cooly.

"Hello there! My name's Oliver and I'm a mage user. It's a pleasure to meet you!" Oliver winked.

Many girls blushed while some squealed. A few boys cringed in disgust. Rem, on the other hand, remained expressionless.

"Ava, dual blade and long-ranged weapons user," Ava said.

Her introduction was shorter than all the others.

"I'm Celine and I am the healer of this team. Nice to meet you! I hope we can all get along!" Celine said in a gentle voice.

Many of the boys had crushes on Ava and Celine while many of the girls had crushes on the boys of Dark Knights. They even had a fan club about them. After the first team introduced themselves, Celine handed Rem the microphone. Rem took the microphone and gave it to Karina. She stood at the front of the stage and began to introduce herself.

"I'm Rem, the leader, and mage of this team." Rem said, using her magic to make her voice loud.

Rem didn't want to use the microphone because when she got the microphone from Celine, the microphone was already broken so she decided to fix the microphone in a few seconds using her magic and handed it to Karina. This way, nobody would suspect her and the fact that Rem fixed the microphone.

"My name is Karina and I'm an archer." Karina said, using the microphone.

She was impressed once again because of Rem. Karina passed the microphone down to Yukino.

"Greetings! I'm Yukino, the healer." Yukino usually speaks a lot but this time, she only spoke a few words.

"Yukio. Swordman and magic-user." Yukio said expressionlessly.

He handed the microphone to Kaito.

"As you all may know, my name is Kaito. I'm a dual blade, magic-user. I hope nobody would cause any trouble or get hurt during this tournament..." Kaito said sternly.

He passed the microphone to the next team. It took more than 30 minutes for all the teams to finish introducing themselves. After the introductions, the principal allowed all the students to have free time till after lunch. When lunch is over, all the teams would have to meet up at the stadium on time. The students either left the school, went to the library, training room, race track, or another place in the school. Some students didn't eat breakfast yet so they went to the cafeteria. Rem and her other group members decided to talk about random things at the corner of the cafeteria. When it was lunchtime, they bought lunch and ate.
