Ambushed

All the teams got teleported to another dimension.

'002, do you know where we are right now..?' Rem asked.

{Of course, I do. You are currently in another dimension. It's sort of like being in another world except there's a person who would control this dimension. These dimensions are created by people. Therefore, if you want to get in or leave, you would need the owner's permission. The creator of this place can make it look however he, she, or it wants. They're the creator after all.}

'I see... Is it possible for you to create a map of this place?' Rem needed to know where she and the others were.

{You have definitely gotten stronger. I have a function where I can create a map of a place without exploring it but it would only last 2 hours and it has a cooldown of 12 hours.}

'Alright, create the map.' Rem ordered.

A blue screen appeared in front of Rem that shows where everyone, including the other teams, was. The map also shows the location of all the monsters.

'Good and thanks.' Rem said to 002.

"Everyone, we are going to fight the groups of monsters. If we fight them one by one, we would only lose time. That all depends on how strong these monsters are..." Rem said.

"Yes, let's go," Kaito said hurriedly.

"I hope the monsters we're going to fight won't be that strong..." Yukino said quietly.

"I'll protect you," Yukio told Yukino in a confident voice.

"Mhm, thanks..!" Yukino patted Yukio's head.

"There are a few monsters nearby... I'll go check on how strong they are. If they're not that strong, we can break into groups to fight them. That way, it'll be quicker. Stay here and wait for me!" Rem ordered.

She activated her stealth and ran into the forest. After running for a minute, Rem saw 4 monsters grouped. She inspected their stats.

'So these are the creatures the creator made...' Rem thought, easily defeating all 4 of the Forest Beasts.

Rem then ran back to the others.

"The monsters are all around level 35. I'm sure there's a boss here somewhere..." Rem reported.

"Should we break into groups?" Karina asked.

"Hm... Since we can't wear the earpiece, we would need to communicate with each other using some other method. If you bump into another team, it'll be a huge problem. We want to avoid them. Fighting with them would only cause us to waste our time." Rem said, thinking of a way for them to communicate with each other.

"I don't think we can communicate with each other," Kaito said.

"I also don't think we can do that..." Yukino agreed.

Yukio nodded his head.

"Should we break into groups or stay together..?" Karina asked.

"How about split into groups then we meet back here in an hour?" Rem suggested.

"Okay!" Karina nodded.

"Sure." Kaito approved.

"I really hope we don't bump into anyone..." Yukino sighed.

"If you bump into anyone other than us, don't fight them. Just run away and use your magic and aim towards the sky. I'll know if you need help if you do that." Rem said.

"Got it," Yukio replied.

"Karina and Kaito can be in one team. You guys can go to the East. Yukino and Yukio would be in another team. You guys can go towards the South. I'll fight by myself. I'll go towards the West," Rem said sternly.

The others nodded and they began to fight the monsters in small groups. Meanwhile, at the stadium...

"Whoa! Did you see that..?" A student watching the first round of the tournament asked.

"Yeah... Team Ver is really strong! They're defeating all the monsters so quickly!!!" Another student replied.

"The members of Dark Knights are very strong as well! Look! They're defeating the monsters just as fast..!" Someone else said excitedly.

"Look at the scoreboard! Team Ver and Dark Knight are necks to neck!!! Dark Knights are still first though!" A loud student said.

In the stadium, there are 8 huge projectors created out of magic. They surround the stadium so everyone can see what's going on. All the projectors show what the teams are doing. Every minute, it would switch from one to another. It's as if they're watching television. In the middle of the stadium, there's a large leaderboard. Everyone can see it because it's above all the projectors and that just shows how large the leaderboard is. The leaderboard is also a projector. Both sides of the projector have a leaderboard. Every second, the leaderboard would change. The leaderboard shows how many points each team is getting. Every level 30 to 35 level monster they kill, they would obtain 10 points. Every level 36 to 40 level monster they kill, they would obtain 20 points. For every level 41 to level 46 monster they kill, they would obtain 40 points. The monsters near the boss room are all from levels 47 to 52 while the boss is level 60. If they defeat the boss monsters, they would obtain 50 points while defeating the boss would give you 1,000 points. So far, there are only 3 bosses.

"Wow... Only 10 minutes passed and the first two teams have gained so many points!!!" A student yelled in amazement.

"You're right!!! Team Ver is so strong despite them being first years." A student nodded.

Currently, Rem, Karina, and Kaito are at their meeting spot, waiting for Yukino and Yukio to arrive.

'They're late... Why are they not moving..? Are they hurt???' Rem wondered.

"Did something happen to Yuki and Kio?" Karina said worriedly.

"If they got extremely hurt, they would get teleported back to the real world..." Kaito said.

Two attacks of water and ice magic shot up in the air.

"They're in trouble! Let's go, quickly..!" Rem ran towards Yukino and Yukio.

'I hope this isn't some kind of trap...' Rem thought, running.

Karina and Kaito ran behind Rem, following from behind.

"I hope they're alright!!!" Karina yelled.

As they ran, they met a few monsters. Every monster who got in Rem's way were killed ruthlessly by her in a few seconds. When Rem, Karina, and Kaito arrived at the place where the water and ice magic were, nobody was in sight.

'Weird... On the map, it says Yukino and Yukio are here. Where are they..?' Rem searched for the twins.

Karina and Kaito also began searching. Suddenly, two powerful water and ice type magic daggers came from the bushes. Rem easily dodged the daggers.

'What..? I couldn't sense anyone..! Does someone here have some kind of skill that can hide their presence and killing intent completely?' Rem wondered, being extra cautious.

Rem, Karina, and Kaito equipped their weapons. A few more daggers were shot at them. The daggers were powerful and fast but they all managed to dodge them all.

"Who's there? Come out!" Rem yelled.

A figure came out from behind one of the trees.

"Hey, how's it going?" A boy with black hair and dark green eyes said.

"Where's Yukino and Yukio?" Rem asked.

"Oh, you mean the twins? They're with my best friends!" The boy smiled.

'On the map, it only shows Karina, Kaito, the twins, and I. There are also a few monsters... Is he not human?' Rem thought.

"What do you want?" Rem asked cautiously.

"Getting straight to the point... You're no fun!" The boy's smile disappeared.

Rem rushed in front of the boy and slashed his neck using her shadow magic. The attack went through the boy and the boy remained unharmed.

'What..?' Rem was confused.

"Hahaha! You can't hurt me..!" The boy mocked Rem, running deeper and deeper into the forest.

'Tch... He must be a monster and that's not his real form... Is this some kind of skill of someone's? That can't be a monster..! Or is it?' Rem thought, chasing after the boy.

{Normal monsters don't have any intelligence. Other than mythical creatures, humans, and some other races such as elves and half-beasts, only a few bosses have intelligence.}

'I don't think the creator would make a boss have intelligence. That boy must be created from someone else... Just who is trying to ambush us?' Rem wondered.
