‘The directions’

I threw the phone aside when it was almost eleven p.m. and collapsed on the bed. Lots of things were coming to my mind. The first thing that came to my mind was about her being okay. I was feeling so helpless at that moment that it almost made me cry. I could not do anything at that time. I was in an unknown place, and going outside was like digging my own grave. The temperature was five degrees Celsius below zero at that time, and there was death-like stillness outside. I had no other option but to wait for the morning so that I could visit her place and find out what had happened with her. I could only pray that she would be alright. I got up from the bed after a few minutes, changed my clothes, turned off the light, and again lay down on the bed. I was feeling pretty exhausted too. I fell asleep in no time while thinking of the next morning.
