Chapter Nine
I woke up with a headache and the first thing i saw was meds and water by the stand, am telling you this man was amazing and i loved him with every fiber of my being. I took the meds and was about to get out of the bed but i was pulled back to his chest making me giggle. "Good morning Cute face", "Good morning Baby", i said and kissed his nose making him chuckle. "You are so predictable", he said with his eyes still closed. "Thank you for yesterday. I really needed that", i said sincerely making his bright blue eyes appear. "Well, the aim was for you to meet my squad but since you put it that way then i guess celebrations are in order", he said hovering over me and making me shout for the stars for a couple of hours.
"Baby, i need to ask you something and i need you to be honest with me please", i said nervously, i couldn't stop thinking about what happened and i need closure. He stopped having his coffee and turned to me, pulling my hands in his. "Only you till the end", he said with a serious face making me smile, "And you are mine after that", i saw relief passing through his face, his muscles relaxed and i took it as the encouragement i needed.
"What happened to me during the tournament?", he took a deep breath. "I-i took over your body and fought her", my eyes went wide in shock, so what Roman said that night was true, did he agree to go through it because he knew Tan would do it? "Like possession?", i asked my voice trembling for a bit. "Yes, i had never done it before but seeing you scream in pain and the look Andra had on her face, i knew she was going to kill you and i couldn't let that happen so i had to try", he said but his voice was broken he wanted me to not judge him or see him as a weak mate. "Thank you", my answer made shock appear on his face. "You don't blame me for doing it without your permission?", "Hell no! am your mate and i think at this point we have already established that you never ask for permission when it comes to my body", i said with a wink and a blush appeared on his face. Ladies and Gentlemen i just made the Leader of the Royal guard and the famous Stealth warrior blush. "Am serious, you did what you were meant to do, protect your mate, Tan you were able to protect me", "I love you Lola", he said and kissed me. Let's just say i wouldn't be looking at the kitchen counter the same way again.
It was my first day opening the shop and i already had two employees, you guessed right Madison and Jessy, i knew they were put there on purpose to be my bodyguards but i was not complaining they were good company. The door bell rang and it meant we were going to meet out first customer. "Roman!", i said in shock. "Your Majesty", i heard from Madison and Jessy. "Good morning ladies", "Good morning", i was still processing the fact that the King was my first customer. "I have never had a flower shop in my kingdom, this is pretty cool, so what do i need to do?", he asked putting off my embarrassment. "Oh that depends on the occasion i guess, who do you wish to impress this beautiful morning?", "Well how about this, Janet and i are expecting and i want to give her a 'thank you for carrying our pups' present, i couldn't figure out what i wanted to give her so i want to give her flowers", that gave me an awesome idea. "If that is the case, what kind of flowers does she like?", he shrugged his shoulders, men are unbelievable. I called Madison, "What does his scent smell like?", my question caught her off guard making her blush and Roman chuckled but he didn't say a thing. "Vanilla and a bit of roses...yap definitely roses", she said and stormed away in a hurry. "Ahaa! Your majesty, i got just the thing", i clapped my hands and proceeded to making a rose bouquet for him, he was going around the shop looking at all the flowers when i reached him and handed a note pad for him to write, he did a quick 'i love you' and handed it back. I finished the package and handed it to him. "You are really good a this, thank you Lola", i smiled am pretty sure it was reaching the roof. He paid and left. A minute later the place was full of people asking for different types of flowers for events, decorations, birthday wishes and before i realised it, it was closing time already.
"How was your first day" Tan asked me when i got home. He was there before me. "Amazing, my first customer was Roman, can you believe that? the King at my shop, he got roses for Janet", i said jumping up and down he had to hold on to my waist to steady me. Look i was tiny compared to Tan but that didn't give him the right to handle me like a kid, i was reaching his chest and that had to count for something. My eyes met his and i could see the pride on his face. "You are one amazing woman Cute face", he said and placed his forehead on mine. "I haven't shifted for a while so am taking Hunter for a run, wanna come with?", as if he had to ask. I ran outside and waited for him eagerly. I always loved riding on Hunter's back it made me feel like a kid again and i think he knew that too. Back in the human world we rarely did it but here i saw wolves running all the time so i was happy that we were going to do it more often here. "Hurry up!", "Am coming jeez, you make me feel like am a donkey or something," he complained but i didn't care. When he shifted i kissed Hunter's snout making him give a wolf grin and off we went. He was running too fast that i could barely see the trees that were passing, it felt amazing.
