61 Silence

"I'm going to my flat after you leave. I want to check to make sure that I didn't leave anything behind and after that I'm going to meet mom and dad," Jessica said while getting up from her chair after having her breakfast.

"I'll drop you at your house," Austin said.

"I need to pay this month's rent to my owner, Jessica said.

Austin who was eating his pasta, choked when Jessica spoke about her owner. Because Jessica still didn't know about the identity of her owner.

"Are you fine ?"she asked him passing glass of water.

"Yeah," he answered getting up from his seat to avoid talking to her further.

"Wait a minute, "Jessica said when she saw him avoiding her gaze." Why are you looking away from me?" she asked him but there was no response.

"Don't tell me that you bought my house," she said and understood when Austin didn't respond to her.

"When?" she asked him.

"Six months, I guess," he answered.

"Six months? Why didn't you tell me?" She asked Austin in disbelief.

"I just wanted to protect you, "Austin tried to explain her.

"Protect me from what?" she questioned him.

"From the paparazzi or any other people ," he answered.

" You could've atleast told me but why did you hide it from me," she said looking away.

"I didn't tell you because I knew that you wouldn't like me buying your house," he said.

"So you thought of buying it and hide it from me? why do you always hide things from me, y_you nev_ver share anything with me, "Jessica frowned and her voice broke down when her tears formed in her eyes due to her anger.

Austin sighed and made her sit on the chair to calm her down.

" You won't understand even if I tell you now. I'll talk to you in the evening," he said and left to his room. His voice wasn't rude, he tried to calm her down first.

Jessica controlled her tears until she heard the loud sound of the door when it was closed by Austin. She wasn't angry at first but she didn't like the fact that he hid the truth of him being the owner from her all this while . Austin was in this way from the start. Jessica often told about her work and about her day whenever they met but he never shared anything with her. She came to know about their first kiss through Aaron, even though Austin told her that he wanted to take her to Oasis and tell her about the kiss. Jessica who was upset now didn't feel like believing his explanation after what has just happened. She wasn't understanding, why does he never share anything with her. Jessica knew that he loves her but she also wants him to share his thoughts with her which Austin never did till today.

The maids who saw the couple arguing looked at each other's face with blank expressions. Few minutes ago they saw them being lovey dovey but within a few minutes the atmosphere changed around them. They felt bad when they saw their young madam whose face looked gloomy now.

Austin shut the door with a force because he was angry, not at her but at himself for not telling her. He saw her eyes filled with tears before he said her sit on the chair to calm her down. He thought it would be better to talk to her after she clams down but he never thought that it would only create a misunderstanding between them. Austin didn't intend to hide things from the start. He was always a kind of person who never shared things with anyone until today and he needed time to adjust with changes in his life.

Jessica wants him to share atleast few things with her instead of hiding anything while on the other side Austin thinks that things would be fine by not telling her the reason why he bought her house including his business deals, because he doesn't want to take her, his burdens which would only cause her to worry. One wants to share each other's burdens while the other doesn't want their partner to worry. They both had their own resons and they both were correct from their point of view. The only barrier was that they weren't understanding each other's point of view.

After Austin got ready, Jessica went to bedroom to get ready as he told that he would drop her. He started the car as soon as she got into it. The atmosphere didn't change between them. This was the first time they faced such situation, they didn't know how deal with it. They both wanted to talk but they didn't understand how to start the conversation. Jessica waited for him to start the conversation while Austin waited for her to talk something. The atmosphere in the car was silent since the time they left their house to till the time they reached Jessica's apartment. Just when he was about to talk to Jessica, her phone rang. It was her mother who called her. Jessica got down while talking to her mother, the moment she looked at Austin, he started his car and drove away at a high speed.

Jessica was depressed when he left without talking anything to her. After packing the remaining things which were left in her apartment , she went to her parent's house. She looked at the clock and kept thinking about him. She felt it was her mistake, she thought it would've been better if she gave him a chance to explain instead of being angry at him for a small thing but again she felt it was his mistake too for not telling her anything.

It was around six in the evening when he came to pick her up from her parent's house. Jessica's mother called her when Austin came. After talking to their patents, they both left. There was a silence in the car even though the music was being played, they both looked at each other and looked away when their eyes met.

After they reached home, Jessica immediately got down from the car and went to her room instead of waiting for Austin. A part of her eagerly wanted to talk to him while the other wanted to avoid any kind of conversation, even when she clearly knew that it was her mistake for creating this situation instead of dealing with it calmly. It was same for Austin too, since morning he wanted to talk to her but at the same time he wanted her to talk first even though he knew that he did a mistake by not sharing anything with her. They both knew that they did a mistake but none of them were ready to talk to each other until they came to their room.

Jessica heard Austin's foot steps approaching from behind. She wanted to apologize him for the way she behaved in the morning. But before she could turn back and apologize him, Austin's arms encircled her waist. He nuzzled her neck and rested his chin on her shoulder making her eyes close because of the closeness and she took a deep breathe when she heard him ask her.

"Can't we forget about morning?"

This was what even she wanted, she didn't want to prolong this cold war between them. Even Jessica wanted to forget about it after apologizing him before he hugged her from back.

Jessica didn't answer him through words but gave her answer through a nod and allowed him to plant kisses on her neck. Austin took her in his arms and laid her on the bed. He kissed her gently on her eyes, her cheeks and then her lips. He looked at the girl whose eyes looked as if she wanted him to love her more right at this moment. Not breaking his eye contact with her, his hands unbuttoned her top one after the other making her shiver a little.
