The One Beyond : chapter 5

Simon and Dale were a bit confused, however waiting outside in the cold would not answer there running question.

Soon though a surprise unfold in there eye's when Simon nocked on the door.

"Coming!" A man from inside the home answered.

"Oh brother Simon its good to see you." Hoshuan looked behind him to see more then 25 man who were getting off their horses.

"And I see you brought more company for My daughter." Simon did not care for those that were armed, instead he was happy to see that Simon brought what he had promised.

"Yes, and like I said, it was a promise I won't ever forget." Simon then looked at the building before he spoke again.

"Can I can and Dale over here come in, I want to talk." Dale showed a gesture of greeting by bumping his left fist to his right palm.

It was a sign of the fist being the darkness while the palm was for the light which was equalizing both of themselves.

The man still had his helmet on, but his face and and dark eye's still showed colors unlike Simon and Chanshi who had no shine to there red eye's.

"Yes, Of course!" Hoshuan smiled.

While both man came inside, Hoshuan took a small moment to glimpse at the 40 man who were preparing to make camp along with unloading the cargo's and people in beautiful dresses.

Hoshuan sighed before closing the door.

"I can't believe this house still smelled like it always did, My sister preserved it well." Though Simon as he rubbed a bit of the wall with his armored hand.

He had long understood that things in the past are hard to preserve, which is why he never opened his heart to those he knew was too weak to survive, which is why dale was able to get an introduction to his Niece.

"Wow! This home is homely." Dale eagerly compliment.

He wasn't an ass kisser, instead he was being honest.

Dale just like Simon had a common understanding of what is precious and what is a threat.

And right now, Dale can understand why Simon was always talking about his childhood.

Though two months were a short time for friendship, those two months were enough to create a bond.

"It will be better once you meet my sister and my niece." Simon added.

Dale could only nod as a reply to the statement.

A moment later they entered the living room.

There set Chanshi and a her daughter.

"Is that you sister?" Dale could not help but ask.

Dale had heard some words from Simon, still Simon looked nothing like the woman, its more of that there eye's were almost the same.

deep red, but also shown no light to them.

"Yes, she is my Elder sister, and the only family member who showed care."

Simon did not fear his sister because she was just dangerous, but also a fear of earning her disapproval.

"Honey, there are guest two guest coming to greet you." Hoshuan notified Chanshi who was busy with something.

"Hold on," Chanshi had you right hand up as to tell them to stay still and wait. "There three balls left she needs to crush." She explained.

Dale was going to ask what she meant but was interrupted by the woman grabbing a white marble ball and putting it in the palm of the eager baby.

to his astonishment and fright, the baby girl using her small left palm to crush the ball into crumbles of marbles.

Dale finally saw that there were a lot of crumbled marbles on the clothe of the baby along with the ground being very dusted.

Dale could not help but lose his composure.

"she, you're missing finger. Its real." Mumbled Dale.

"So you didn't believe me?." Simon asked.

"No> Its just, that your so tough and so experienced, I thought you were lying and in fact had actually lost it to a fight with someone formidable." Dale explained his now realized conclusion.

Simon could not help but chuckle.

He then took out a small object before showing it to Dale, "I had the finger the whole time, well since she was willing to give it back."

Simon revealed.

"Wow, just wow." Dale was speechless, he had to look back and forth from the baby to the dried finger.

"Sir what rank were you when she yanked your finger off with ease."

"Rank 5, it meant that most slashes of a normal sword would not cut or even harm me, and most poison even in this continent would be practically useless, I can see as far as the hawks and hear as great as the rabbits, but she,,,, she made me realized that I could never let my guard down, and after what had happened I moved to the edge to find a way to improve myself and the man under me. Eventually the bottleneck of being rank 5 was finally realized when I understood why I lost my finger out of the blue. it was because of inhuman strength and also the fact that even though I cant be hurt by unconventional weapons, I am susceptible to being crushed to death.." Simon with excitement instead of hate.

"Ahum, since you two are already feeling in with house, I hope you won't forget what I want right Simon?" Asked Chanshi.

Knowing his sister, Simon could not help but laugh.

"Yes, how could I forget, you like alcohol." He explained before telling Hoshuan to let the guards in.

Soon there were man and woman who wore good looking dresses and outfits coming inside.

In there hand were either warm dishes and along with the high quality drink brought from the boarder.

"Sister please have a drink, and enjoy yourself, while my man prepare the show."

"Its such a relief to be let off work, you have no Idea what the generals want with me. they told me I need to participate with the southern war while I was busy guarding the border of the north."

Simon wasn't drunk but he was in the mood to finally let go of his stress.

"Captain, you shouldn't talk like that here." Dale warned.

"Come on, there's no way the dynasty can't protect suck a small boarder, they have people stronger then me, and its not like the north is in similar crisis to begin with. Those idiotic royal families had cut ties with us and left us to die just because we were too loyal to their family.

Simon too was angered by the injustice his bloodline had to suffer, and now they needed him again. If it were him, he would have spit at there faces even of he was to be killed.

"I'm so glad the six family's they built up is now biting back instead of hiding there fangs."

Dale could not help but agree, the six handed Emperor was an idiot, with power and greed, they walk on the belief of the precious emperors.
