Chapter 4: Academy

As I walked in with my brother by my side all the eyes in the class turned to me. I saw an open seat in the back by a window. I made my way there and sat down. I can see that most of the kids in the class staring at me. The only ones that weren't were clan kids. I could see the Ino-Shika-Cho alliance members. I saw the Hyuga twins. Looking around some more, I also saw Mikoto Uchiha. My brother sat down next to some of the Sarutobi clan members. As everyone was talking amongst each other, the teacher came in.

The class lecture went on about history and geography. Then lunch came around. I sat down at a table by myself. Nawaki was already making friends with the other kids. As I ate my lunch quietly, I could feel the gaze of the girls in the cafeteria room. At first, it was okay, however it quickly turned annoying as they continued to stare. I wondered at that moment if this was how Sasuke felt. Lunch went by as quickly as it came. My classmates and I returned to the class to continue the day.

As everyone settled in the teacher came into the classroom again. He continued his history lesson. Once the bell rang he told everyone to go to the training ground. Once everyone got outside, we a crowded by the teacher. He said that today we would be doing physical training, and shuriken throwing. Everyone lined up to throw shurikens. The civilian kids didn't hit the targets, or would only hit the target a couple of times. Most of the clan kids were able to hit the target a few times. Once Mikoto threw, she was able to hit the target the most. Then it became my turn. I got in position, and threw all the shuriken at once. I gripped several shuriken in between my fingers and threw them all. All of them hit the target. The entire class was stunned silent. The teacher just stood there with his mouth gaping. I walked up to him and closed his mouth. He just looked at me in amazement.

After the shuriken practice, physical training started. The teacher said for today we would only run laps. To pass for today we would have to run at least ten. The entire class started running once the teacher gave the signal. Most of the civilians started to drop out around eleven laps. Most of the clan kids reached twenty. Then it was just my brother and I left. I could see him struggling. Once we reached the thirty mark he fell. I just stopped and helped him up. The teacher was surprised by the fact that I didn't look tired.

Once the class was finished we all returned to the classroom. As we were walking back, the teacher asked me to speak with him after class. The day went by, and the class was over. Nawaki started to head home first when I told him I had to talk to the teacher.

"Shin it seemed like today the class was to easy for you. If you would like I can ask the Hokage to advance to the higher class," said the teacher

"I would like that very much sir," replied Shin.

Once the conversation was over, a notification went off.

[Hidden Quest: Advance on the first day]

[10,000 points]

I wasn't too surprised at the hidden quest.

On my way home, I opened up the menu and clicked on the gacha. I became curious on what I would draw so I clicked on the 1x roll.

[Body strengthening pill (R)]

I quickly clicked on the body strengthening pill. I asked Jarvis what it does.

"The pill strengthens the body in all aspects. The pill can only be taken once a year, otherwise, the body may suffer a backlash, sir" said Jarvis.

"I see," said Shin.

Shin started to walk home. While walking home, he started to think about the future. He knew he would have to deal with Danzo later on. He opened up the travel function. He clicked on the power ranking tab.

It seems like I'll have to start pushing my self further. After I finished walking home, I opened the gates. I saw my grandmother holding my brother and sister. I just stood at the gates seeing this scene. I realized at the moment, the extermination of the Senju clan was beginning. I made a promise to myself at that moment, that Nawaki would live.

My grandmother, Mito Uzumaki looked up with tears in her eyes. I could see the pain. I walked over and nodded my head. Seeing that I understood, Mito looked at Nawaki and Tsunade. I walked further into the compound to the training area. I took the pill out of the inventory and swallowed it. I could feel my body being refined. My sense grew sharper, but not to the point of a drastic change.

After letting my body settle, I started to test my body. I started to train. I pushed my self more than I usually did. The moon started to shine down on me while I trained. I heard someone body flicker behind. I quickly somersaulted into a defensive position. It was the Hokage. He looked at me with sad eyes. Small tears started to flow down my cheeks. I was confused. I knew one day I would have to leave this world, so I believed I closed myself off from those around me.

"I'm sorry for your loss Shin. Your parents were great shinobi that you should be proud of," said Hiruzen.

"I know. I am," said Shin

Third POV

At this moment uncontrolled rage filled him. He promised to himself that he would protect Nawaki, and kill Danzo before he left this world.

While he was having his internal dialogue, the Hokage put a hand on his shoulder. Shin looked up, and the two locked eyes.

"Grow stronger Shin," said the Hokage

The Hokage body flickered away. He went to the tree beside him and started to practice tree climbing. As exhaustion started to hit him, he stopped.

"I've been going to slow. I need to start taking things seriously," said Shin
