37. Void ascension tower

It has been a total of three weeks since Julius started to study at the Academy. Right now, he was standing in front of a weapon store.

'None of these weapons goes beyond Earth grade. Does that mean that the beasts in the gates around the school aren't too advanced?' Xander thought, but then he couldn't figure out for sure.

'The void ascension tower opens today. From today, all students would start working hard to climb the tower to rack up points to increase their rankings.' Julius thought as he approached another seperate area from where the dorms and halls were.

In this place there was a very tall tower with the symbol of a dragon head on the door and a stone dragon curled around the tower.

He smiled.

He looked around and saw more than a hundred students getting ready to go in.

Julius wasn't here to increase his rank, rather, use this opportunity to learn more about magic.

There were a lot of students there too with most of them in groups getting ready to enter the tower for the first time.

Julius looked sideways and saw Cedar and Rowan entering the tower. He too sighed and walked forward.

As he was about to enter a head suddenly popped out of the darkness within the door and he moved to the side, barely evading.

"Argh." The student stood up and looked backwards to see the prince.

The ones all around was shocked at the instateneous shift the prince did in that final moment. Even Julius was shocked by it.

'I guess six years of training nothing other than reflexes and senses really comes in handy.' He thought before he entered the tower.

One student in particular gazed at him as he entered into the tower. He had black hair which was tied in a ponytail and dark eyes. His gaze seemed to be as sharp as a blade as he remembered Julius' movements.

"What do you think Sebastian?" A shorter boy by the side looked at the boy and asked and this Sebastian only snorted.

"He's still weak. However, we still have five months before the first exams, if he's already this strong, then he'll be tough to deal with," Sebastian said and then he brandished two swords which appeared in thin air and he walked towards the tower and entered it.

"Hm?" River who was passing by saw the boy who just entered and he frowned as he continued to walk forward.

'Sebasrian bloodborn, ranked number 3 in the entry test huh... He has a very strong swordsmanship, however, I just started mine.' River sighed as he walked away.

It would be difficult to hold onto the first position for long.

"I'm so tired, I need some sleep," He said and walked away from the scene.

...

Immediately Julius entered the darkness, he felt a cold feeling wash over his body and instantly he was pulled out of the darkness.

He found himself in an open area and he looked up to see a bright sun shining down on the ground a little aggressively.

Julius could see a barrier around a specific range of area and he looked back and stretched his hand.

His hand was instantly blocked by the invisible barrier and then he moved towards a rock close by and sat close to it.

'This is it. I can learn more here.' Julius thought and then he sat.

There was only one reason that he had been waiting for the void ascension tower to open to the students, because it creates a region of space where the students can learn and train their elements.

Julius felt the heat from the sun, it was scorching, but bearable. He sat down and then he circulated his mana throughout his entire body.

'I think now would be a good time to use it.' Julius thought and then a smile formed on his lips as a blue translucent screen appeared in front of him.

He smiled as he looked at the new skills which were stages of the omniscient perspective skill.

'First only allows me to peek into info. The second one makes me comprehend and understand things of this world faster while the third is definitely the most broken.' Julius thought.

No doubt, being able to look at the future during times of need would prove so useful in his journey to change the story.

'Haha, I tried to use it yesterday and I fainted due to Mana drainage. It takes up a large amount of Mana just to manifest and see a few seconds into the future.' he thought with a bitter smile and he gazed at the last one.

'Dimensional phantom? Being able to travel in the space between dimensions and move around as a ghostly figure that no one can see. Sure, it's a pretty broken skill if you ask me.' Julius thought and then he concentrated on the sun which shined down upon him.

He stretched forth a hand and a small ball of light floated above his palm and he gazed at it.

'Let's test this out.' Julius thought and then he stretched his hands forward. The small ball of light in his hand shot out a beam of concetrated light like laser and Julius smiled as he saw this.

"Okay, okay. This is good, this is progress." He thought and then he looked up to the sky with his omniscient perspective mode.

The sky suddenly shook and Julius saw various lines and complex symbols looking like something from his array class.

He continued studying for more then thirty minutes and then he began to hear various sounds of a single creature and he stood up.

He grabbed a beautiful one sided sword which materialized in his hand and then he walked forward.

In front of him was a single bird which munched on a creature which resembled bull's carcass.

He frowned as he saw the lines of the mystic codes of light on the bird's wings and then He leapt up towards the bird and it's sharp eyes caught wind of him.
