Assembling an Army

Amicus drove the tank around the corner of the fence keeping the prisoners in, giving Magnus a clear shot. Magnus took the shot, setting another tower ablaze. That was the last tower. The guards inside the prison had finally woken up and taken notice of the four towers burning.

The rush of guards begun. Instead of manning the turret, Magnus used the machine gun mounted on the side of the tank. He began blasting the guards with a rapid assault of lead bullets, felling most of the guards.

The few that escaped ran into the forest, fearing for their lives. Thus, within minutes of beginning the assault, Amicus and Magnus were now the sole controllers of the prison.

Driving the tank up to the front gate, Magnus got out and opened the door. He went up to all the buildings which housed the prisoners and knocked on the door, calling for them to gather in the courtyard immediately.

50 prisoners came out of the buildings and lined up. Magnus strolled out in front of the formation. He said to them, "Now, I have freed you. That does not mean that you will be on your own, but we will be hitting every other POW camp in Deutschland on the way to Gaul. Once we assemble an army of POW's, we will begin an assault on the Deutsche armories, thus leaving their armies without weapons. That way, they will surrender once they have no more supply."

The POW's all saluted to their new commanding officer. He would command them until they got back to Gaul and would make sure they got back to Gaul. This POW camp was a camp for the soldiers of Gaul.

Climbing into the tank, Magnus called out to the POW's for a tank gun reloader and a someone to operate the radio of the tank. Five men stepped forward, all filling at least one of these roles. Magnus selected a shorter, blonde soldier and a shorter, black haired soldier.

Climbing into the tank, the two soldiers from Gaul went to their respective positions on the tank. Magnus and Amicus were now ready to begin their assault on the Deutsche country.

They began by driving to a munitions plant not more than 35 miles from the camp. When one of the POW's opened the door to the plant, Magnus and 10 POW's ran in with guns from bodies of the guards of the camp.

Seizing the product of that plant, Magnus now had enough guns and ammo to supply his whole army. Making each man grab two guns would make them able to supply another 50 POW's.

Magnus had Amicus drive to the next nearest POW camp. Driving east, the opposite way they needed to go, they shortly arrived at another prison. Magnus had the makeshift soldiers stay in the shrubbery so they couldn't be seen by the snipers on the towers. Pulling the lone tank out of the undergrowth, he had a clear shot of two of the towers. Taking the first shot, he turned the turret as the blonde boy from Gaul reloaded the main gun.

By the time he had the sights on the second tower, the gun was reloaded. Thus, Magnus took the second of four shots. The two towers were ablaze, in stark comparison to the other two towers. As the tank rounded the corner to take the last two shots, the sunlight coming through the trees blinded Magnus.

He shouted, "Move the tank! The sun's in my eyes!"

Prompted by Magnus' shouts of pain, Amicus turned the tank away from the sun as fast as he could. Magnus now had two clear shots, unrestricted by the hindrance known as the sun. The other two towers were ablaze by the time the sun had fully come over the horizon and started to penetrate the forest with its light.

When Magnus went out of the tank to open the gates, he was shot. The guards! They had used a little strategy this time instead of rushing out of the camp to neutralize the tank. They had figured this out from the radio transmissions from the other camp.

Hearing there was a tank overrunning their camp, this camp developed a strategy to counter a tank. What they didn't now is that they were up against an Administrator. Despite being shot in the shoulder, and shot again in the knee, Magnus ran like he was perfectly fine over to the machine gun mounted on the side of the tank.

Aiming the mounted rapid fire gun, he started shooting at the guards of the camp. He shot and shot, but there wasn't an end to the Deutsche soldiers. Focused completely on the soldiers inside the camp, he never saw the guard with a hand-grenade slip out of the camp. The Deutsche soldier grabbed Magnus by the neck.

The soldier had Magnus in a choke hold. Then the soldier took the pin out of the grenade and shoved it down Magnus' throat. The grenade blew, killing Deutsche soldier and causing Magnus a lot of pain. Luckily enough, the grenade didn't entire blow off Magnus' head so he could recover as the makeshift army appeared from the shrubs and bushes obscuring them.

The army ran towards the camp's main gate. The majority of the soldiers provided the rest trying to open the gate with cover, shooting at the building with the guards in it as they all stood in wait of the gate.

The gate was finally open after most of the soldiers used up the first of three magazines. They all rushed to the guard house and kicked down the door, shooting any Deutsche body, dead or alive, at least twice.

When Magnus had recovered, his army had gathered into formation, with the soldiers of this camp in a formation next to their own. They all noticed that Magnus nearly had their head blown off, but most of them couldn't understand English, so what did they know. All they understood at the moment was follow this man, and you will be free to return to your family.

This second camp was a camp housing UPC soldiers. The Deutsche liked to house the nationalities together. When Magnus was delivering the same speech as before, and as the soldiers from Gaul were nudging each other as they had just heard this before they were set free, he spotted a familiar face. Once he finished, he asked for the Gaul soldiers to hand out the guns to the UPC soldiers.

Walking up to this familiar face, Magnus asked it, "Emmanuel?"

The shorter man asked back, "Magnus?!"
