Chapter 33 - Extreme North

Douluo Continent,

It has been five years since Lev uncovered the infiltration plan of the Spirit Hall in Heaven Dou Empire. Throughout these years, many big things have happened in Douluo Continent which shocked the people.

First, major wars started taking place everywhere, and the constant attacks of the Spirit Hall resulted in the two empires namely, Heaven Dou Empire and Star Lou Empire combining forces to counterattack but due to how strong the Spirit Hall was, the wars still resulted in a stalemate.

Secondly, changes are occurring in the continent, one of which is the cancellation of the Annual Continental Spirit Tournament as many academies and clans were forced to close their doors to the public. On the other hand, many spirit masters have joined the war to gain merits and wealth while some made a name for themselves during the war, and some have also perished.

On the other hand, the most shocking event that shook the continent during these five years was that the Spirit Hall knew and attacked the long-lost Clear Sky Clan. Their attack was repelled but it caused the Clear Sky Clan to be exposed once again on the continent.

The appearance of the Clear Sky Clan causes the two big empires to try persuading them to join forces, but the Clear Sky Clan is very adamant about staying neutral Even after how many tries and benefits the two empires offer, Clear Sky Clan persists and says that they won't join the war.

Meanwhile, after the Shrek students and teachers arrive at Heaven Dou Imperial Academy, the academy directly accepts them upon seeing their talents however as the war surges, the school activities and training have been put to a stop and they are instructed to join the war instead making them awake to reality as they experienced the cruelty of the world.

In these five years, Tang San had already known the true identity of his father and also his clan however, after seeing their attitude toward the surging war that was looming around the continent, he decided not to get back and follow his father instead.

Seeing the situation, Dai Mubai also went back home. His family was surprised by his arrival but then again, they don't have any parental time to spare because of the current war. His brother was not even in the mood and just ignored him. His brother knew that he could take advantage of this war to secretly kill Dai Mubai but still decided not to. Making good use of such an opportunity, Dai Mubai also joined the war to get experience.

Ning Rongrong, on the other hand, also went back to her clan and met her father. Her father then told her everything about the reason for this war which greatly shocked her upon knowing the truth. She was taken aback upon knowing that Lev was really such a powerful person however, they were now in a tight spot since the two parties didn't have a good connection.

Lastly, Ma Hongjun and Oscar were also improving fast during the war. With the help of Flender and Yu Xiaogang, they also became strong and matured at the same time. After all that happened, each one of them decided to part ways as they made a promise to meet once again after five years back in the academy.

Extreme North,

In the most faraway place in the north direction, which consists of a plain covered with ice with a very low temperature, two cloaked youths could be found standing still while looking at the battle that was happening in front of them.

These two youths were none other than Lev and Sia. They were observing the fight of Gamabunta, Gamahiro, and Gamaken, who were now as tall as a building, against a 100,000-year-old bear-type spirit beast with a height of at least five meters.

Despite being 100,000 years old, the spirit beast was completely overwhelmed by the three toads upon seeing them expertly utilizing the weapons they had as if they were humans. Gamabunta has a massive dosu blade, Gamahiro with his two large swords, and lastly, Gamaken has a sakazuki-like shield wrapped around his back and his sasumata in his hand.

The battle continued and lasted for about half an hour before the spirit beast died helplessly. With that, the three toads then head toward Lev's direction wanting to hear some praise from him. On the other hand, Lev, after seeing them easily kill a 100,000-year-old spirit beast, could not help but feel proud and satisfied. After his constant training, the three toads, after five years already gained a combined power that could kill a 100,000-year-old spirit beast.

Lev then just looked at them one by one with a smile. For the past five years, Gamabunta and the others grew rapidly. They had trouble at first but after improving and leveling up every day, they could now hunt down on their own. Killing countless spirit beasts made Gamabunta, Gamahiro, and Gamaken raise their spirit power to 74, 72, and 73 respectively.

At first, Lev asked the system how their power would be evaluated and the system answered that every summon would generally follow the power system of the world they were summoned and regarding their way of getting stronger, it would be in the same manner as how he leveled up.

Furthermore, the system also said that their original power would mutate after being exposed to the other world's power. The system's explanation told Lev that it was more appropriate to use Random Summoning Cards when he was in a world with a proper power scaling unlike those with none since the power they could get and improve was connected to the world they were summoned in.

Knowing all of this information, it was safe to say that other than having their original power, the three toads could be said to be much more powerful compared to their original one.

"Good job." Lev then said with a faint smile.

"It was all master's guidance." The three toads said in unison as arguably grew abnormally under Lev's guidance. They were being trained non-stopped which they have endured and persevered however, the result was very satisfying seeing their constitution start to change for the better after eating several kinds of delicious and precious herbs while having several powerful skills at the same time.

"We should head back." Lev then said while looking at Sia on his side. Just like in the past, both of them were there living side by side. They have both survived the boring and cruel place and appear much stronger than before.

"Mmm." Sia said with a smile while looking at the three toads. After five years, she witnessed and finally realized the horror that they had after seeing them grow in strength and size. She could not help but feel surprised that the small toads back them could fight just like humans seeing them so proficient in using weapons.

Following that, Lev then brought back the dead spirit beast before carrying Sia as they rode on top of Gamabunta's head. After settling everything in the area, they then started heading toward the place they had stayed for the past five years.

Inside a cave,

The appearance of the cave was pretty much normal on the outside, however, upon entering inside, anyone would probably feel shocked as the place was too spacious, and other than that, the place all has the necessary things that a house could have.

Entering inside, Lev immediately made lights and brightened up the place. These lights were something that he bought in the store and have been used during their stay inside for five whole years. Seeing the place brighten up, a sudden gust of wind then happened for which a foxlike creature moved an instant and hopped on Sia.

The creature has a white colored fur covering most of its slender body. The top of its head is a vibrant shade of pink, and it has long pink rabbit-like ears with dark blue insides. It has a short, blunt cat-like muzzle and a small black nose. Scarf-like appendages with pink and blue tips curl around its body. It has four slender legs, small dainty, pink-tipped paws, and feet with three visible toes on each. It has two large blue eyes with white pupils and a fluffy pink tail that curves inward slightly to form a crescent shape.

"Sylveon, I hope you weren't bored being left behind." Sia immediately greeted as the creature was none other than the Eevee that she had chosen five years ago. This was the evolution path that she chose and she was not regretting her decision.

Hearing Sia, Sylveon made a noise before licking her face telling them that it was okay. Despite looking cute and harmless, Sylveon has also actually improved for the past five years seeing its spirit power rise up to 64. Though it's a bit short compared to the three toads, it was still a power to behold.

With that, Lev and the others then decided to eat and head to bed afterward. Gamabunta, Gamahiro, and Gamaken together with Sylveon then stayed at the entrance as it was already their duty to guard the place shaking off any spirit beasts that would come roaming around the area.

---Night---

On the bed,

Despite the raging snowstorm outside, the temperature inside the cave was completely hot and warm. Though there was equipment that kept the place warm, the reason why the place was warmer than normal was none other than because of who was lying comfortably on the bed with Sia leaning on his breathing heavily.

"Don't worry, Sia. When we're back on Earth, I will help you get stronger." Lev said. It was actually the thing that Sia was concerned about. There were times when she would bring them up as she really wanted to help Lev, however, she really was, for some reason, incapable of doing so.

Lev asked about the system about this matter and the latter answered that as Sia was originally summoned on Earth, the only way for her to get stronger was also limited to Earth's. Thus, unlike the summoned creatures he had this time who were already beyond her reach, she was left alone powerless.

"Thank you, Master." Sia replied with a faint smile on her face. Though she could not directly help him at all, there was something else that only she could help him and so she was envious a little towards the other summons, but she would feel more better if she could do both.

"Mmm. I think it's also time for us to leave this place and head back to see Zhu Zhuqing and the others." Lev followed. Aside from that, he also wanted to see the result of what he had done back then as until now, he really doesn't have any clue what was happening in the continent as he really has cut off their connection with the outside world.

"Really, master?" Sia asked excitedly as she got up and looked at Lev with sparkling eyes. Though she likes being together with Lev all the time, she still feels like it would be happier to have more people and she from time to time misses the time when Zhu Zhuqing was still with them.

"Mmmm. Furthermore, it's already time for me to make a move." Lev then seriously answered as the current him was already enough to achieve the first phase of his mission. Unifying the mainland would only be a piece of cake to him now.

"Hehehe. I wonder what kind of reaction Zhu Zhuqing would make after seeing us again." Sia said while giggling upon thinking about it. As they had left without giving notice, she was curious about how she was living all this time.

With that, Lev and Sia decided to fight for the last time before finally deciding to rest as they talked and decided that they would be leaving this place tomorrow. Knowing that this would be their last memory in this place, both of them didn't hold back anymore as they fuck like dogs inside the cave.
