Hester realized that Farley had left for France three days ago, and she wondered how Dave survived in the past three days.
Hester looked at Dave and suddenly found a grey stain on his collar, "What's this?"
She touched it, and it felt a little sticky.
"Don't touch it!" Dave backed away, untied the ribbon around his neck, and stuffed it into his pocket.
His fingers got some stains on his fingers. Hester knew Dave was a clean freak so that he wouldn't wear dirty clothes.
The ribbon on his collar had turned grey, so Hester guessed that Dave must live alone in the past three days.
"You live alone in the villa?" Hester visited the villa on the day Farley left, but the outer gate was locked. She thought Farley went with Dave, but at this moment, she knew that Dave had spent three days alone in the villa.
Farley kept his life a low profile and never hired a nanny or bodyguard. In this case, no one would take care of Dave in the villa.
