She watched as the man pulled Callum inside.
She smiled to herself, she never imagined Adel to actually look like that.
He looked different from what she had pictured, after all, his mind was like a rock. She could only see the details he didn't guard at the deepest part of his heart.
She thought of Cassandra, if she was doing alright and not missing.
She thought of Leslie and Cody. She thought about how they'll still be alive if she hadn't run out that night.
If she had never poked her nose into another person's business.
The memory was still fresh in her mind.
"Cordellia! Come back here!" Cassandra screeched from inside.
She rushed to the front door.
Just a few more steps, she thought.
She stumbled into her mothers drunk self.
Now that she thought about it, it was all a facade.
"Where are you going?" Leslie staggered as she slurred.
Cordellia pushed her aside as she dashed past her. She was far too frightened to stay.
