Little Snake

"Why hello there little friend."

On my desk was a small green snake who was examining their surroundings.

"Can you talk?" I asked the snake unsure if they were intelligent or just a regular snake.

All I got in response was a flick of the tongue.

"A regular one huh?"

Reaching forward I intend to boop there snoot. But as my finger got closer to the snake it decided to show their true colors and bite my finger.

"You little shit," I say, pulling my finger back.

The snake laughs in response.

"Oh so you are an intelligent snake," I say, wishing to send them back already.

"So you're the new guy," she says before getting closer.

"That's me," I say, making sure my finger was properly healed.

"The student of Orochimaru, you're quite famous back home. Everyone wants to know more about you. You should come visit sometime," the green snake spoke.

"That sounds like a lot of fun but i'll have to pass," I say before sending her back to whence she came.

"Let's see if the next one is a bit more friendly," I say, summoning another snake.

"Me again," the same green snake from before speaks

Death was something I was already acquainted with before I ever arrived in this world. While I may have never killed anyone I believed if it came down to it I wouldn't hesitate.

I was right.

But one thing I wasn't familiar with was fighting. I'm not sure if I had prior experience if it would have helped me or blinded me to the possibilities that Chakra has opened.

My fighting style is much more methodical, deliberate, and calculated. This likely stems from my cautious nature, with a little bit of fear mixed in.

In comparison Kakashi is all over the place, flips, jumps, wild movement. And yet he is always in control. It looks like chaos but every movement is deliberate..

He is never more confident in himself than he is in a fight. The possibility of death doesn't linger over him like it does me.

I wish I could be as strong as him.

But I'm not.

I think too much.

Jumping backwards I dodge the wind jutsu that was meant for me.

Orochimaru appears right in front of me with his sword already raised high. All I could do was raise my defenses and hope it was enough.

Holding my hands out two barriers began to form.

Orochimaru brought his blade causing barriers to crack, sending a shock to my Chakra system letting me know the barriers were draining my Chakra now.

As I landed I deactivated my bracer barriers before activating the other three.

While not as useful given I can't manipulate them to the same extent as I can the ones in my bracers, at least these ones still had some Chakra in them.

Immediately I formed a protective triangle around me as the worst possible thing that could occur.

Has occurred.

Orochimaru vanished.

Eyeing my surroundings I try to find any sign of Orochimaru with no success.

Closing my eyes I concentrate. Breathing in, I hold my breath for a moment before letting it all out.

What I could best describe as a pulse of Chakra emitted from me. I paid close attention to my Chakra as it washed over my surroundings.

Then I felt it.

A disturbance.

Right below where I was standing.

It goes without saying I immediately relocated.

Jumping backwards I raise my hand to form a barrier in front of me, I did not care if I was using my own Chakra. I needed something between myself and the ground now.

A moment later a large number of snakes burst from the ground before maneuvering around my barrier and wrapping around me.

Next thing I know I'm being pulled underground.

I went through quite the painful traveling process of being pulled through the underground, my only savings grace was it didn't last long.

As I exited the ground on the other side the snakes let go, leaving me at the feet of Orochimaru.

"Everything hurts…," I manage to say.

"Yes, that did look quite painful,"Orochimaru commented.

Carefully Shaping the wind jutsu in my hands I make sure the outer layer of wind that is meant to keep the dangerous part of the jutsu in check is holding strong.

I've been trying to form this jutsu for about 20 minutes now.

And I think I finally got it.

Standing up I hold the jutsu. Sorts of, it floats above my hand but it still the same principle.

Alright now just to throw it at a tree.

As I winded up to throw the jutsu the outer layer of wind began to destabilize releasing the pressure within.

I had the ball to the right of my head as it went off.

It did not end well.

The wind explosion sent me flying head first into a tree knocking me out cold.

Or maybe I'm dead?

That would kinda suck.
