You ever think of all the events that had to happen a specific way in order for you to reach the point in life you're currently in?

Cause I am right now. And… wow, Just wow. What are the odds?

I am the pseudo-reincarnation of some dude from a completely different world where chakra didn't exist. And now the very nature of my being has been irreversibly changed by this chakra.

And that's all without mentioning the child who's fragmented but very much still around.

Or at least that's what I believe.

Once again I have no way to actually get an answer for any of these questions.

At least anytime soon… I'm sure i'll have all the answers in my mid to late twenties. By then I should have washed my hands of the Shinobi system and can pursue all the unobtainable answers I've been asking to my heart's content. Of course that is assuming I'm not involved in some kind of asinine situation where the very fate of the world is decided.

Such an idea is preposterous.

Even if such a situation presented itself I doubt I'd get involved. I'd need quite the insensitive to even consider, or for someone I care about to be involved.

Once again such an-

"Sozo!"

"Wha-," coming back to reality.

Looking around I quickly put together that Orochimaru was showing me off or something like that.

Unsure what exactly to do i just bow and introduce myself, "Sozo Akinori, pleasure to meet you,"

The room was silent for a brief moment before Orochimaru and whatever his name was continued there business.

What was I talking about before, something about Kakashi?

Oh well… I'll think about something else interesting.

Hmm…

"Were leaving already? We haven't even been here two hours," I say loading a box onto a ship.

"I've received a recall order from the Hokage, unfortunately, " Orochimaru explained stepping onto the ship that was to take the stuff Orochimaru purchased to a port closest to Konohagakure, "I'm am to report to the Hokage as soon as possible."

"After we make sure your new toys arrive in the Land of Fire safety of course," I say, grabbing another box.

"Of course," Orochimaru replied, patting me on the head as i walked by.

"You could help you know?" I say.

"I could," Orochimaru replied.

Channeling chakra into a piece of string I watch as it contorts in response to how I manipulate my chakra. Despite being at this for about half the day I was still no closer to figuring out how to control the movement.

My only guess is there's a reason Shinobi use wire, it seems to conduct chakra better than this frilly rope.

Or I just suck.

Finally admitting defeat i toss the rope away as I flop forward against the side of the ship. laying my hand against the side of the ship I channel some chakra into it.

Could I…?

Flooding a section of the haul with chakra i attempt to manipulate the wood only to find myself unable to really do anything with the wood.

I can move solid stone if I had to but I can't Manipulate wood even a little?

What makes it so special?

Pushing more chakra into the wood I redouble my efforts only stopping because the wood cracked.

Grimacing, I quickly slide a box in front of the damage before relocating to a different part of the ship.

Ok let's do something else.

Oh nevermind seems Gray found something.

Emerging form the ocean Grey slithered over to me.

"Find something?" I ask.

Grey nodded.

"Alright here ya go," I say handing Gray some of my personally made explosives seals, I lovingly named C4.

Taking the explosives into his mouth he dove back into the water.

Climbing to the very top of the ship i looked around trying to find whoever was apparently following us.

I could barely make out a ship far off in the distance that seemed to be following us.

Down below i saw a few members of the crew looking at the ship clearly worried about it but given its distance not much one could really do but keep going and hope for the best.

Usually I would as well but if it were Shinobi of any decent caliber surely they would have tried something a bit more subtle?

Hmm… Perhaps I am overestimating standard ship security. It could just be that they are used to preying upon defenseless ships. Or is there something about this vessel that makes it seem like an easy target?

Oh well it dosen't matter as Gray has returned.

"You're curtain they will be an issue if left alone?" I ask Grey who nods, "Alright."

Pressing the activation seal i watch as the ship is engulfed in an explotion off in the distance.

I wonder what kind of people I just killed?

…............

Fuck this chapter.

Screw my plans we're moving on.
