Infirmary

Luca had no idea what was happening. He went outside to get some help. The panicked look on Luca made Jane come to him.

'What happened?'

'I. I, I don't know, Kate fainted and I...'Jane didn't wait for the sentence to finish. She rushed to the bedroom and with surprising strength picked up Kate and rushed outside. Luca lost her in the turning and had no idea where to go. He went back to the bedroom and sat on Kate's bed. He was about to go up but stopped. He noticed spots of blood on the sheets. He wanted to know why there was blood but was interrupted by Jane.

'Follow me.'

Luca followed Jane outside the bedroom and to the next corridor and to the next until it felt like forever. At last, they ended up before a small door with carvings of people smiling and crying. Jane knocked the door and was greeted by the Elder.

The Elder looked the same. But this time with him was another lady with silver hair and skin so pale that she resembled the snow. She was not pretty but strangely beautiful, just like the beautiful winter.

They were led into the infirmary. The room was big enough to fit all the kids, almost as big as the bedroom. They were led to the corner of the room where Kate laid. His whole body was red and covered in cold sweat.

'Do u know what's wrong with him?'

The lady said with a gentle voice.

'I have no clue, but he was really tired today. He probably didn't get enough sleep, his eyes were red.' said Luca, hoping the info could help them.

'Anything other than that? 'Inquired the lady.

'Yeah, there were blood drops on the sheets, I doubt they have anything to do with this though....' said Luca trying to remember if any of them were hurt yesterday.

'I see...I believe I know what happened. Elder, thank you so much for helping me. You may take your leave now.' Said the lady turning to Kate.

'Luca, you may follow me.' It was more like a command. Luca followed him reluctantly. He wanted to stay with Kate. They entered the Elder's room, which looked unrecognizable. There was pink everywhere. He felt like he was inside a pink cotton candy. There were paper bits falling down from the ceiling and it looked more like they were paint peeling off the ceiling.

'How's it? I asked Jane for help. I heard these were the trends now. Young people and their tastes. tsk,tsk' said the Elder teasingly.

'Year. Its good, I guess?' Said Luca unsure of the fact that these were really in trend.

The Elder asked him to sit in the chair that was covered in pink glittery stuff while seating himself in a light pink armchair.

'The reason you were bought here....'

'Wait, do you know anything about my mother, anything' Luca was desperate.

'Sadly no. We are still looking into her whereabouts. But the matter i would like to discuss is something else.'

Something else?

'I would like to talk about you, Luca.'
