CHAPTER 66

　　ARTEMIS' POV:-

　　After saying our goodbyes, Elijah took me back towards the car. He helped me into the car. Then he also hopped into the car and drove off. He stopped the car a few miles away from my mother's home. He turned to look at me. Biting my lower lip, I unbuckled my seatbelt and crawled on top of his lap. I wrapped my arms around Elijah's neck and hugged him tightly. That was the biggest present he just gave me.

　　"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much for everything." I whispered in his ear while I was rubbing my cheek on his chest. My face was buried in the crock of his neck. I thought I was never going to see my mother. But then I asked Elijah to look for her. As I had thought, he found my mother in no time.
