"Damn, I don't know why I have to go get this stuff," Klaus said, walking into the store.

After ten minutes of shopping, Klaus walked out with three metal poles that he had to buy for his team's school project.

"Damn, they better pay me back for this stuff," Klaus said, looking at his empty wallet.

As he walked back to the school, a drop of water fell on him. Looking up, he saw dark grey clouds as it began to rain.

"Damn it," he said, walking faster to the school.

While he ran to the school, the rain started to get worse, completely soaking him and making it difficult to see.

"The weather app said nothing about it raining this hard,"

As he got closer to the school, he heard the sound of thunder. Knowing what was coming next, Klaus sped up, but in the end, it changed nothing.

As he reached the school gates, multiple bolts of lightning fell upon him. Even though he was less than a second, the amount of pain he felt made it seem like hours. As the pain stopped, he closed his eyes for what he thought would be the last time.

Falling to the ground, Klaus's body was now charred remains on what he previously was.

POV: First person...

"To think I would die like that," I said as I floated in an empty black space.

...

"I wonder how I have been here for," I said, looking around at the unchanging scenery

As I floated in the space, I began to count, seeing that I had nothing else to do. When I reached five months of counting, I began to forget things, like what I was doing when I died.

After that, I forgot the faces of my family members. I even forgot my own face and name. When I reached one year, I forgot everything. I did not think that I could forget everything in a year.

"Maybe that's what this place does," I said in a defeated tone.

When I reached two years, I realized that counting was absolutely useless, so I stopped. I don't know how much time had passed until I saw it.

It was a small spot of light. At first, I thought it was my mind playing tricks on me, but it kept getting closer.

"Damn, that's really bright," I thought as the light got closer.

Once the light became too much to bear, I closed my eyes and waited for something to happen.

...

(Pain) the first feeling I felt in god knows how long

Opening my eyes, I saw a beautiful, clear blue sky. Looking around, I found myself in some type of field; it was green and wonderful. The feeling of grass and the wind blowing on my face were things I hadn't felt in forever.

"Beautiful," I spoke.

"What did you just say," said a voice from behind me

Turning around, I saw a boy who looked to be in his twenties, clenching his fist. He had short black hair, red eyes, pale skin, and a one-red horn on his red. He was dressed in what looked to be a school uniform. It was white and red and had an insignia of a rose around a skull on the left chest pocket, and he had three golden stars on his shoulder.

(I may not remember much, but I know humans don't have horns) I thought to myself

Looking next to the boy, there was a girl who was dressed in the same uniform, but hers had a skirt instead of pants, and she also had a star on her shoulder. She had long purple hair, pink eyes, and a tail that was shaped like a heart at the end; she was incredibly beautiful, but I could see disgust in her eyes as she looked back at me.

"Look at that! You hit him so hard that he became delusional," the girl laughed.

"When you told me he was weak, I did not think he would be this weak," the boy sighed.

"Now, do you see Deus? This is true power. I don't care if you are the decedent of Dracula; you will never be able to claim the throne," the girl said, hugging the boy's arm.

As they walked away, I could not help but be confused about what was going on.

"What the hell is going on?" I asked myself, standing up

Looking down at my body, I realized that I was dressed in the same uniform. The only difference was that I did not have a star on my shoulder.

"Hmmm, something tells me this has to do with me not having a star,"

"A system, I only heard of them in those fantasy novels," I said, looking at the red screen.

Reaching my hand out, it passed right through the screen.

(I guess I control it with my thoughts)

Thinking yes, the screen changed. The next moment, dozens of images flooded my mind, from what seemed to be a baby eating food to a small fireball in someone's hand. Once all the images stopped, I understood the situation I was in.

"Transmigration," I said, holding my head.

From what I learned, I was seventeen when I died. My new name is Deus Von Tepish, and apparently, I am the great-grandson of Dracula Tepish. Even though I was born with no skills and had a small mana capacity, my body was much weaker than even the weakest goblins. The two from before were my ex-fiance Susan Kligrin, a succubus, and her new fiance, Sal Dragonborn, a descendent of the dragon race.

(Hey, system, can you give me a rundown of your purpose?) I asked

[Very well host]

[My mission is to help the host become stronger than all living creatures]

[I have three main functions: Status: Tracks your strength and skills in numerical value/Shop: The currency you gain from the system will allow you to purchase unique items to help you get stronger/Mission: These are given to the host based on what the host needs. Rewards vary. There is also the inventory function, which is a 5x5 meter storage box]

(I see, so you work like most systems I have read about. Can you show me my stats then)

Status:

Name: Deus Von Tepish

Title: The Cursed[ A curse has been placed on you, limiting 95% of your strength and does not allow you to earn experience]

Skill: Blood Flame[Lv.1][Locked]

(I see, so I was cursed) I said, looking at my stats

[Now that the host has looked over his stats, would you like to open the birthright gift]

(Birthright? What is that?) I asked

[The gift given to you by my creator to help you on your journey]

(And who would your creator be?)

[That is something I can not tell you]

(I see. Open the gift then) I said moving on

[Opeing Birthright gift...]

[+ 1 curse removal]

[Because of the nature of the host's previous death, the skill Tempest Control [Lv.1] Has been gifted]

[Bloodline Trait: Blood Fein: When you drink someone's blood, you will also absorb their mana]

[+1000 gold]

(Funny, I can control what killed me) I thought looking at tempest control

Closing the system, I began to walk back to my dorm. Thanks to the Mermoris merging, it was easy for me to find it. The only thing that I didn't like about the memory merge was the anger I gained. I could feel it as I made eye contact with certain people. I could feel that hidden anger that was pushed down for so long.

(Deus you can rest will, I will make everyone that was made your life hell pay 100 times over)
