Pov narrator:
It was Christmas morning and every one in the Thunderman family was surrounding the Christmas tree. Well almost everyone. Hank and Barb were there with most of their children. A 12 year old Phoebe was giving out her gifts to everyone. A 9 year old Billy and 6 year old Nora were jumping in excitement with all there gifts around them.
Hank and Barb were really trying to enjoy Christmas with their kids, but all they could think about is how their son Max was not here. Its been a year since he left. Hank was feeling he was too hard on Max and should have handled the situation better. While Barb kept thinking that it was her fault that they drove Max away.
Non of it was really their fault. They were trying to do what's best for their 11 year old son, but ended up restraining a 30 something year old man in a child's body. They couldn't have done anything that would effect the results differently.
While Billy and Nora were tearing through their Christmas presents they came upon a couple from a certain some one.
"Hey look. It says this present is from Max." Said Billy.
""What?"" Everyone exclaimed.
Phoebe walked over. "Wow. It's true. They are from Max. How did he get them here without anyone noticing though?" She said while handing out the presents to their respective recipients.
Billy was the first to rip his open. Only to find comic books in them. Though he had never seen these ones before. On it was a man in a red and yellow suit with electricity around him in a running position. With the title reading "THE FLASH". He had never seen this superhero before. But just by looking at the comic he is already excited to read it. There aren't alot of speedster after all.
Nora opened hers up too and saw a very sleek box. Opening it showed a bunch of bows with different designs. All with the flags of every country in the world. They all looked beautiful and well made. Almost like they would cost a fortune to buy.
When Barb opened hers up she was shocked to see a bunch of Cook books. With recipes from all over the world. So many dishes she could make for the family. Dishes she's never heard of before.
Hank recieved a bunch of different sauces for all kinds of food. Mostly different wing sauce. But all being full of flavor. Some of them being extremely rare and hard to get. Even Hank would have a hard time acquiring them.
And when Phoebe opened her gift she saw two things. One is a necklace with a not that says it enhances her Telekinesis powers. And the other is a flip phone with a sticky note that says "for emergencies only. 1 use only."
Her first thought was to use the phone and call Max back home, but then she got to thinking. If she used her one phone call and it's not an emergency he might never come back. She would have wasted her one phone call. So she secretly hid the phone so no one would try to use it for non emergencies.
Meanwhile Hank and Barb were crying. For one, because this it the first time that Max had given a Christmas gift that wasn't bad or meant to be intentionally evil. And two, because they now miss him more. Hopefully this doesn't effect their state of mind. Causing them to retire from heroes and moving to a normal town away from hero work. That would be extremely unlikely to happen in the next 3 to 4 years.
