Breaks Over, Return To Planet Beerus

(3rd Person Pov)

Outside of the Capsule Corporation building stood Mori with the silverish blue aura surrounding his base form indicating the use of Ultra Instinct and Android 18. And standing before them with expressions of surprise, fear and fury were Trunks, Mai and Bulma.

Trunks clenched his fist seeing android 18 as he spoke with anger.

"Android 18! How are you still alive?!"

Android 18 didn't respond to his words, or even looked Trunks in the eye. The memory of almost being killed by him, and her brother's sacrifice to protect her still haunted her to this day. Android 18's lack of response made Trunks grit his teeth in anger as he looked towards Mori and questioned him.

"Jin Mori! Do you have any idea just who she is?!"

Mori nodded his head as he answered.

"Android 18. One of the two androids that I was told killed off the earths warriors, and many other humans."

"Then if you know that, why are you letting her live?!"

Mori calmly looked at the furious Trunks as he shook his head disappointed as he spoke.

"Trunks. Do you know what I am?"

At Mori's words, Mai looked confused. But Bulma, Trunks and Android 18's eyes widened in realisation at what Mori was getting at.

Trunks froze upon realising just how disrespectful he was yelling at a God Of Destruction as he bowed and apologised.

"I… I'm sorry for the disrespect I've shown you. I'll be more careful in the future not to be so disrespectful Lord Mori."

Mori nodded his head as he spoke.

"It's alright. Just be careful who you direct your anger towards next time. If it was Beerus, he'd have erased you on the spot for showing such disrespect to a God."

Trunks lowered his head and gritted his teeth, but didn't choose to reply to Mori's words. Mori ignored his growing anger as he spoke.

"The reason for why I allowed Android 18 to live is to allow her to temporarily take over the role of the late Supreme Kaioshin."

"What? You want her to take over the role of a Kaioshin?"

Mori nodded his head, causing Trunks to clench his fists. Mai placed a comforting hand on his shoulder to help calm him down as she questioned.

"This role of the Supreme Kai that you've given Android 18. What is it exactly that she will be doing?"

"As acting Supreme Kai, her role will be to guide and advise the mortals of universe seven. Of course, because of the fact that she is temporarily taking over the role of the Supreme Kai, she will remain neutral in all political matters of every planet in universe seven."

Hearing Mori's words, Bulma couldn't help but question his choices.

"Forgive me if my words sound rude, but don't you think having a murderous android act as the Supreme Kai goes completely against your rule of preventing the drop in the universe's mortal level?"

Mori nodded his head in agreement as he responded.

"Originally, I would have chosen Trunks to be the Temporary Supreme Kai. However, he is most likely to reject my offer due to the fact that he has attachments to his friends and family. But Android 18 on the other hand is devoid of any attachments, and knows when she can and cannot do something. If someone as weak as Trunks can scare her this badly, I don't ever see her building the courage to betray me."

Everyone was surprised by Mori's words as they gazed upon the frozen stiff Android 18. However, something in Mori's answer caught Bulma's attention as she questioned.

"Lord Mori, what did you mean when you said that Trunks would most likely reject your offer to become a Temporary Supreme Kai because of his attachments?"

Mori shrugged his shoulders as he explained.

"When he becomes the Temporary Supreme Kai, it's almost guaranteed that he won't be able to see his friends and family for a long time because he will be too busy helping increase the mortal level of universe seven. However, if Trunks feels like he's willing to let go of all his friends and family, and is willing to remain as a neutral entity in any planet's politics, I'd be willing to kill Android 18."

Mori stretched out his hand towards Trunks, as Bulma, Trunks, Mai and Android 18 gazed at him in disbelief, shocked at his words. And seeing Mori's outstretched hand, Trunks hesitated. After all, if he agreed to follow Mori, then he would be so busy he might not be able to ever see his mother or even Mai.

And when he remembered how he almost lost his mother to Goku Black, he already came to his decision.

"I'm sorry, but I won't be taking the role as Temporary Supreme Kai. You were right in the fact that because I have people I still care about, I won't accept. But that doesn't mean that I would prefer that mass murderer to take over the role."

Mori nodded his head in understanding as he spoke.

"I understand why your dissatisfied. Unfortunately, she is the second strongest individual on this planet. And though it may only be a temporary position, the Temporary Supreme Kai must also be a powerful individual so that they won't be pushed around so easily. And since you've rejected my offer, Android 18 has been chosen instead."

Trunk's only reply was silence as Mori called out to Whis who appeared from a pillar of light as he bowed to Mori and questioned.

"I take it you are ready to officially begin your role as God Of Destruction Jin Mori?"

"That's correct. Take us to Beerus's planet."

Whis straightened his body as he took notice of Android 18 and he questioned.

"And this young lady is?"

Mori jabbed his thumb towards her as he answered.

"Her name is 18, and she will be the Temporary Supreme Kai for Universe Seven."

Whis blinked in surprise as he questioned.

"My Lord, this 18 isn't a core person. Are you sure you want her to take over the Supreme Kai's position even if temporary?"

Mori nodded his head as he explained.

"Though the core race are usually selected for the positions of the Kai's, they are alot more weaker than a Supreme Kai. With her level of power, and her infinite quantity of Ki, I have decided she is the best candidate for the job. Of course, you will have to teach her the ways of the Supreme Kai."

Whis hummed nodding his head and replying.

"If that is the will of the God Of Destruction then I shall follow through with it. I shall train miss 18 to fill in the role of the Supreme Kai to the best of my abilities."

Mori nudged Android 18 as they both walked up to Whis. Once they stood besides Whis, Mori turned to face Trunks as he spoke.

"Trunks. Take this as my advice to you. Train yourself everyday, and always strive to grow stronger. Even though now your timeline has a God Of Destruction, don't go slacking off on training if you don't wish for those around you to die."

Leaving those words behind, Whis, Android 18 and Mori all dissapeared in a blinding pillar of light. Trunks watched them dissapear before sighing tiredly. His mother Bulma gently rubbed his back as she spoke.

"It's alright Trunk's. Let's have a little "faith" in our new God."

Trunks cringed and groaned at his mother's joke, whilst Mai chuckled. Both at Bulma's joke, and Trunk's reaction as she gave her own opinion.

"Jokes aside, I have to agree with what both Jin Mori and Bulma have said. We should give him a chance as our universe's new God Of Destruction, and at the same time, we should focus on growing stronger as well. He is right that we mustn't grow complient just because we have a powerful individual watching over the universe."

Trunks nodded his head in agreement before he suddenly blinked in surprise before turning to face his mom as he questioned.

"Mom. Was I hallucinating, or did Jin Mori had the same silver glow of the Ultra Instinct Technique that he had lost a week ago?"

(Scene Break)

(Beerus Planet)

(3rd Person Pov)

A pillar of light descended upon the planet of the late God Of Destruction, and once the pillar of light dissipated, out came Whis, Android 18 and Mori.

Android 18 took a look at her surroundings taking note of how dull looking everything was. She couldn't help but mutter aloud.

"This is the planet of a God?"

Mori chuckled in amusement at Android 18's words as he responded.

"More like the planet of the former or the late God Of Destruction. Whichever you prefer really. And as for the rather bland look of the planet, you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. The massive tree you see before you is actually a palace. It was the sleeping quarters of Beerus."

Android 18 gazed upon the massive tree in surprise as she questioned.

"Why would someone build a palace inside of a tree?"

Mori shrugged before replying.

"The why should be of no concern to you. Just go find yourself an unoccupied room within the palace and drop your luggage off. Starting tomorrow, you will begin your official training as the temporary replacement for the late Supreme Kai."

Android 18 pursed her lips before she nodded her head and flew off towards the direction of the massive tree. Once Android 18 had left, Whis spoke.

"Seeing the glow of your Ultra Instinct technique must mean that the turbulence in your heart and mind has been delt with?"

Mori remained silent for several seconds before he sighed and answered.

"That's pretty much so. This is a different timeline, and you are not to be blamed for the actions of the Beerus from my own timeline. You were simply following orders. Not to mention, my mother has just died once. Once I have returned to my timeline, I can use the Earth Dragon Balls to resurrect her."

Whis hummed as he questioned.

"Are you not going to apologise for being so harsh on your own mentor? Your attacks were quite painful to receive you know?"

Mori rolled his eyes as he responded.

"Just because I don't blame you for your actions, doesn't mean I'd forgive you. You can consider what I did to you as taking one for the version of yourself from my own timeline."

Whis's eye twitched in slight annoyance as he huffed dramatically before he questioned.

"Moving on, based off your earlier words, I take it that you do not plan on completely taking over the role as God Of Destruction for this timeline?"

Mori shook his head and began walking ahead with Whis following behind him as Mori replied.

"Like Android 18, I'm only taking over the role temporarily until I can resurrect Beerus, and the Supreme Kai. Once that is done, I will find a way back to my own timeline."

Whis nodded his head in understanding as he spoke.

"What a shame. I can tell that you were trained by the me of your own timeline to become the perfect God Of Destruction."

Mori snorted disdainfully as he replied.

"Beerus would have been a proper destroyer if you had threatened him with informing either the Grand Minister or the Omni-King of how he doesn't take his role as God Of Destruction properly. I don't doubt he'd have begrudgingly done his job properly."

Whis chuckled as he replied.

"Unfortunately, we angels are simply guides and mentors for our destroyers. It's none of our business should the God Of Destruction ignore our advice. We simply try to guide and mentor the Destroyers, but if they simply don't listen or follow, then the destruction of their universe is all on them."

Mori's scarlet eyes with the golden crosses gazed at Whis as he questioned curiously.

"Once a universe is erased, don't you angels follow the erasure as well? Do you not fear being erased by the Omni-King?"

Whis nodded his head as he responded.

"We angels do fear the complete erasure of our own being. But at the end of the day, we are neutral beings who's only job is to guide and mentor the Gods Of Destruction, and help the Destroyers keep the mortal level of their respective universe's at a high level to ensure we won't be erased. But if we failed, then what else can we do but accept our fate."

Mori shook his head disappointingly, before he spoke.

"Let's change the subject shall we?"

Whis hummed and nodded his head as he spoke.

"And what would you like to discuss about my lord?"

Mori gazed upon the massive tree as he replied.

"Whilst we allow Android 18 to prepare herself for her new role as Supreme Kaioshin, let's discuss the current state of universe seven. After all, this timeline is probably decades ahead then my own timeline. Who knows just how much worse the mortal level has dropped since Beerus's death. You can atleast help out with that much correct?"

Hearing Mori's words, Whis couldn't help but let out a pleased smile as he thought to himself.

'As I thought, he really is the perfect God Of Destruction. He is already asking about the current state of the universe, most likely to understand just what he is going to have to work with.'

Whis nodded his head as he replied.

"Indeed my lord. I shall give you all the insight you need into the current state of Universe Seven."

(An: Got holiday today, so I wrote a chapter. Also, I'm planning on editing the chapter where he gets the crown. I just read the wiki about it, and have a much better Idea on how he achieves the crown without it being placed upon him by the Grand Priest.)
