Chapter 21

"Isa?" Tanjiro questioned as everyone else stopped and looked at where she was looking.

"There's nothing there," Inosuke replied.

"Hang on," Zenitsu said. Isa stood in complete silence and was frozen. "Isa snap out of it?"

"No," Isa replied and a butterfly flew in their direction.

"Did you sense that?" Zenitsu replied.

"I-I can enhance powers," Isa replied in shock. "I heard and sensed it."

"W-what, where'd that power come from," Zenitsu replied.

"I-I don't know," Isa replied.

"Did you have that scratch yesterday?" Inosuke noticed a small scratch on Isa's shoulder with a bit of dried blood.

"No I healed my scratch after I got the demon's power, that was my other arm," Isa explained. "The dried blood is not mine either."

"Wait so, someone came to our campsite and scratched your arm and left their blood on you and nobody sensed or heard anything," Inosuke snapped. "How is that possible?"

"Let's just continue," Isa replied, healing her arm and then started walking and the others followed.

Later when it got dark a fox ran out in front of them and stopped them in their tracks.

"What the hell is this?" Inosuke snapped. Isa walked closer and stared at it.

"Isa, wait I smell…" Tanjiro tried to warn.

"Demon," Isa interrupted. "What do you want?" The fox then turned into a boy.

"Sorry about the scratch, I gave you my powers, Amaya told me about you," The demon said. "My name is Kinote, my powers are shapeshifting, and power enhancement. I also have mind reading and scent but they're not as strong as Amaya's, so your favorite animal is foxes, Isa?" Kinote had slightly wavy mid length black to red hair covering one eye. His eyes were orange and his outfit consisted of a deep aqua undershirt and a maroon long coat with deep aqua trim with black pants and a grey belt and deep aqua boots and with maroon fur.

"Oh, well uh thanks I guess, and yes," Isa smiled.

"Good, cause you should be able to shapeshift now," Kinote smiled and then blushed softly.
