The assistant Professor

Edward was shocked by Roy's statement . So he couldn't hold it in any longer, and screamed at the top of his lungs. After a few minutes, he was able to clam down.

"Kid you really are a monster." said Edward after he stabilized himself. He knew that he needs to keep Roy's talent hidden from everyone. Even the top 10 heroes.

Just as Roy was about to say something ,The car stopped Infront of a giant golden gate. The walls around the Villa complex were about 50 feet high. Soldiers were stationed on the watch towers placed on the walls. This was the most secure place in the western territory, every corner of the villa was monitored by the surveillance squad. Well with the exception of one, the villas of the heroes.

Roy's car entered the complex after getting their identity verifyed, rather than going straight to Roy's new home. They went to Edward's office to discuss a few things. Edward's office was a typical office, since he didn't like luxury and lived fairly simple compared to the other heroes. 

After taking his seat and asking Roy to sit, Edward went straight to the point." We want you to act as the assistant professor in Royal's academy. You will not be going under any examinations . We have already informed the principle about your arrival. You be directly responsible only time to him. You will be going there as a agent for the association. We are choosing you over other agents is since you need to gain experience and learn socializing"

Not waiting for Roy to say something he continued " Don't worry you have 6 months left until the first year begins. With your talent you should be close to gold rank by then. Also you can learn 3 spells for each element by then. We would like to make you strong enough till then that no one questions your authority."

Then he took out his phone and dialed a number . After a few minutes a person came in with multiple scrolls in his hand. There were around 3 of them. One for time element, one for space and one for illusion.

"This what you will learn and practice for the next month. You will be provided a training room and a instructor. The person behind the door will escort you to your villa and guide you from there." 

Roy got up and left, still processing what Edward told him to. He went out and met the person. He was tall and had fair skin. He was also wearing a tuxedo, Roy at this point thought that this is the official uniform or something.

"Hello,I'll be in your care from now on Mr...Smith" said Roy looking at his name tag on his coat. Mr Smith just nodded and pointed towards the car and started walking. Roy sat in the car and it went towards his villa.

They arrived at the villa after a few minutes of driving .Roy was blown away by the villa. It was straight out of some movie. The black metallic gate. Guarded by elite soldiers. The Villa was painted white and gold with a touch of silver here and there. The car was brought near the gate and the window rolled down. Smith took care of the talking. Then the security guard looked at Roy and did a salute.

The car entered the villa and headed for the door. The drive way was huge. It would easily take over five minutes on foot to reach the outer gate. Roy felt a mix of emotions. Living alone in such a huge villa, away from his family was a weird feeling. Without even realizing he had gotten homesick.

The car parked near the entrance door. Roy got out alongside Smith, Smith opened the door. The first thing Roy saw when he entered the villa was the sweet aromatic scent. A large golden chandelier hanging from the roof. Stairs leading to the first floor.

Servants could be seen busy in their tasks, after seeing Roy all of them stopped what they were doing. "Welcome home young master." they said in union. Hearing this Roy couldn't help but cringe.

"Please don't ever call me that again. You can call me just Roy." Shouted Roy not wanting to hear it again. He just imagined how Loki would look at him, after hearing this. Everyone was taken back by this, never did they imagine Roy would scream.

Realizing what he had done. " I'm really sorry but i just have some past trauma related to this name." said Roy, obviously the last part was pulled out of his. Hearing this,no one said anything.

"We are extremely sorry Sir. Roy, we will be careful from now on" said the servants in union. Then Smith took Roy to the training room. 

They stood behind a giant metallic door, Smith turned towards Roy and said. "I can not go any further. I'm leaving now. Josh,the head butler, will take care of all of your needs. You will be given the Nano chip tomorrow morning." Smith said that and he left.

Then entered a old person wearing a nice suit. He was Josh, Roy's head butler. He respectfully bowed to which Roy responded no to do. After that the head butler handed a card to Roy.

"Until you get you Nano chip, this card will be the proof of ur ownership. And will be used to enter the training room and other private areas." Said the butler without a pause.

Then the door of the training room opened and a man in his late twenties could be seen standing in the middle of the room. This was rank 5 hero. The only illusion element master in the association,Kiro.

He was talk and had black hair. He had green eyes paired with his hollow cheekbones. He had a chizzled jawline.

Roy at this point was really wondering how and why are all of these superheroes so young. Even Baron who was amongst the the originals,the first to awaken, he was supposed to be over 100 years at this point but his appearance was that of a person in his mid twenties.

"Those who have achieved 30 percent or above in their can maintain their youthful appearance.Only Baron and Kyle have this. I unfortunately,didn't awaken with 100 percent affinity. I'm actually 28." Said Kiro. Sounding a bit sad at the end.

"What about Sir. Edward then?" Asked Roy since he was still young to run a organisation this big.

" Well ,he is 27. His father passed away when he was 13. Baron took control until Edward turned 21. Now Edward has the control back."replied Kiro.

"Well, forget about that mr. Diamond rank potential." Said Kiro in a teasing voice.

"Don't call me.....WAIT!!!. How do you know. Edward said he will keep this confidential." Roy realised.

"Kid I am the master of illusion, why can't i disguise myself as someone. Maybe the driver who picked you up from your house,or Mr.Smith. Edward's right hand man." Said Kiro.

"Don't worry,I will not expose you or anything. I just want to say, don't let this get to your head. Everyone here is diamond rank. Some at the rookie level while the top 2 at elite level." Said Kiro calmly.

" Remember that not every hero is as innocent as they seem. Edward trusted me for your training, because I'm trustworthy. I won't harm the continent's hope. You can surpass us all. I would love to see that. I can't be the strongest but my student can." Added in kiro before Roy could speak.

"Now let's talk about your training. We will meet down here every morning 5 am. No days off. I'll be living with you. So you should treat your guest and teacher well." Said Kiro not caring if he sounds like a free loader.

"Umm,sure....what should i call you?" Asked Roy still unsure what to say.

"Call me Master.Since I'll be teaching you. Also no using time dialation when fighting against me. I'll also be limiting myself to your rank." Said Kiro as he took out a thin sword

"We begin now." He said as he rushed towards Roy. Roy caught off guard instinctively activated time dialation.

Kiro got very close,and then. Rather than time stopping,the hilt of the sword made contact with Roy's stomach.

"Cough....ouch. you didn't need to go this hard on me master " he coughed as he held his stomach.

"This is a battle,if I was a real enemy would I have gone easy?" Asked Kiro assertively.

"Yeah this is different. I'm a beginner and you should go easy on me. Also why didn't my time dialation work?" Asked Roy.

"One , that's no excuse. Second I am the master of illusion. What if i used the very thought in ur brain that i can counter time dialation,maybe me saying don't use it before we had a spar planted that doubt. Who knows." Said Kiro.

Then after sparing for 1-2 hours . Roy went back.
