6 - Forest Wolf

"Ggggrrrrrr" A growl came from the bush as a Wolf walked out knowing it had been discovered.

[ Forest Wolf (Normal) - Lvl 7 ]

Both boy's faced changed upon seeing it was a level 7 Wolf, as not only was it stronger than them but was also faster.

All the Monster they have fought so far could be considered harmless compared to this Wolf.

"Use the Skeletons as a tank don't block a attack unless necessary and attack it's back legs first if possible. I'll hang back and try to create a opening for a killing blow." Victor gave his game plan

"And remember you only have one chance, it has intelligence and it will go after me after I use my spell. Got it?" Victor reminded him one last time.

"Got it" Michael was fully serious and nodded his head.

The Skeletons came together in a line and moved forward together with Michael behind and Victor following him.

"Howl!" The Forest Wolf raised it's head before charging and attacking the poor skeleton that was just summoned was in the middle, taking the full attack.

Michael used this to attack the Wolf only to be dodged and countered attack luckily for Michael Victor was prepared as a skeleton jumped in the way taking the attack.

The Skeleton continued to fight back but kept being ripped apart only to rebuild, seeing this the Wolf started to crush the Skeleton's bones before finally killing the short lived skeleton.

Using this chance all four other skeletons jumped on top of the Wolf trying to hold it down, seeing the new opening Michael Stabbed with his sword.

Gritting his teeth he pushed with all his strength, puncturing into the Wolf's body. The Wolf yelped before roaring.

Sending all of the Skeletons and Michael flying off, the Wolf turned and attacked Michael

Michael's pupils became as small as a pin as he watched in slow motion as the Wolf's mouth full of sharp teeth and drool get closer and closer towards his neck.

Right as he was thinking it was over the Wolf let out a loud whimper and stopped attacking allowing Michael to back off.

"That was close, hell that damn mutt needs a breath mint!" Michael complained like his life just wasn't in danger.

"Keep your head in the fight, it's coming." Victor yelled.

The Wolf turned and stared at Victor with hate filled eyes before changing at him seeing this he ordered his skeletons to block the Wolf.

Using it's paw it swiped the skeletons one by one out of the way as it charged at him.

Seeing this Victor threw a Undeath Flame only for it to dodge and bite at him, but right before the Wolf's attack could land it was hit flying away by Michael using his shield too charged and bash the Wolf's side.

"What took you so long?" Victor complained as he stroked his neck in relief.

Back on it's feet the Wolf charged once more, dodging Victor's spell it got closer.

Michael used Death Fortitude and blocked the Wolf with his shield causing him to groaned in pain as he was pushed back nearly falling over.

But luckily he managed to hold strong and allow Victor to hit the Wolf with a Undeath Flame stunning the Wolf in pain.

Taking advantage of this Michael clenched his hand, as he used Death Slash covering the blade and slashing at the Wolf's neck.

But the Wolf sensing it's approaching death broke free from it's pain and bit at Michael.

Gritting his teeth Victor pushed all of his Mana into a Undeath Flame creating a Flame ball twice the size of the last and shooting it out hitting the Wolf once again stopping it but this time it screamed and backed away in pain as it's Life Force was being heavily damaged.

Slashing down on the Wolf's neck only for the trash blade to fail to cut into the Wolf's body, giving a low shout Michael injected his limited amount of mana into the Death energy on his blade strengthening his skill enough to chop into the Wolf.

"Why won't you freaking die!" Michael yelled as he pushed with all his strength and weight chopping the Wolf's head off.

Both Victor and Michael leveled up their skills as they were using them all day and combine with pushing the skills in this battle allowed the skills advance.

Both Michael and Victor collapsed in exhaustion not only exhausted from this fight but also from fighting the slimes.

"It's finally dead ha ha, what the hell was a wolf even doing here?" Michael complained while breathing heavily.

"I, ha-have no idea, there shouldn't be a wolf pack anywhere near here let alone a single wolf." Victor replied tiredly.

On a nearby tree sitting on a branch was the small bird made of flames watching them before it spoke.

"Not bad they work well together especially under pressure, they should be able to reach level 8 or 9 before the end of the week." The Bird's eyes gleamed with the light of thought before becoming silent.

"Ok it's starting to get dark we have to go back before the monster will get stronger, come on." Victor spoke as he got up and helped Michael up before going over to the Wolf's body to get the drops.

"Let's get out of here, I'm so tired" Michael complained as he dusted himself off.

From there they headed back towards the City checkpoint to meet up with their school group.

Coming closer they noticed that some of the students were arguing with students from another school.

Coming closer Michael tapped a classmate on the shoulder from behind.

"Huh, ah Michael what can I do for you?" He asked with a slightly nervous face, Michael had the reputation of being a nice guy but Michael had beaten up people who spoke down and insulted Victor badly.

Combined with having a Legendary class this caused the young man to become nervous but he had other thoughts trying to think of a way he could get on Michael's good side and huge his thigh.

"What's going on?" Michael asked pointing over to the giant argument.

"Oh that, well that... umm basically some classmates found 2 Advanced level 6 Honed Rabbits that were guarding a Lesser Fire Flower and as they were fighting the Rabbits a party of students from 2nd high came and stole the flower before kill stealing the Rabbits" The nervous man answered with more confidence each word he spoke...
