Sweetest goodbye (1)

The cold room was suddenly covered with a burning sensation. Blue Dobinson had devoured the vulnerable young woman who didn't know how to kiss back.

She had felt how warm it was; somehow it took away the burden and heavy weight beneath her chest. How she wished it would last forever.

"Hmm," he moaned between the naughty kiss. His hands slowly trailed off to her waist and caressed it gently. "Kiss me back, Martina. There's no other way for you to escape from me!" He whispered as he moved his body closer to her.

But Martina had difficulties kissing with an alpha. The hospital bed was designed for one patient only, it was too narrow to change positions without breaking the intimate kiss.

"No, this is not what I supposed to do!" Martina whispered. She then opened her eyes and realized that she was touching his jaw-dropping chest. The words she'd wanted to say disappeared because of the warmth he brought.

Only destiny could separate them. But as long as they longed for each other's touch, destiny has nothing to do with them anymore. It would let their empty souls become one for the rest of their lives.

There were too many questions in her head. Does he really like her that much? Is it possible to live together with an alpha? If that thing happened, then she must run away from her family and stay in his arms all day and night.

She would at least feel how to love and to be loved by a man who was truly liked her.

Martina closed her eyes and felt his warm touch. There was nothing she could pray for at the very moment she was in his arms.

It seemed surreal. She dreamed the same thing before, now that it had happened, it became one of the sweetest things that had taken place in her whole life.

"W-why I don't want to let you go? I… I thought I can escape from you!" She thought as she finally surrendered over a jaw-dropping creature in front of her.

"If you don't want to kiss me back, then come with me! I'll show you something, just for this moment." Blue told her as he had stopped and loosened up the grip on her waist. "This would be the last time I'm coming here for you."

His eyes were filled with sincerity. If she wanted to live a normal life like she used to, Blue has no choice but to give up. It was perhaps the best time to listen to his friend's advice that it was solely an infatuation.

If they were meant to meet each other but weren't meant to be forever, Blue had one thing in mind. Staying for the last time with Martina was the best thing that ever happened in his life. If she wasn't for him, he was willing to give up and admire her from afar.

For the last moment, Blue cupped his face, staring into her green eyes. He pretended that he saw happiness in them and it would be easy to just let her go, once and for all.

"I'm not going to hurt you, Martina. I just want to be with you tonight." He said quietly and looked away from her pitiful gaze.

As he waited for her answer, Martina suddenly felt something strange feeling. She had been telling him to leave her alone and now that he'd given up, her decisions seemed to change with no valid reason.

Martina gasped as she embraced herself and slightly shook her head in agreement.

"What are you waiting for? Let's go to the place wherever you want to take me." She said bleakly.

At that moment, he was startled by her straightforward actions and words. He thought she won't allow him to be with her, yet what he saw earlier was true.

Martina slowly stood from the hospital bed. Before she turned around on her mother, she looked at her and smiled bitterly.

"I'll be right back, mother. I'm sorry for bringing you always to trouble." She whispered as Blue waited for her signal.

Suddenly, the cold wind blew up inside as it came through the opened window. Martina quickly looked into his way and nodded her head.

With no hesitation, Blue Dobinson grabbed her hands as he held them tightly. He breathed heavily when she had granted his one, last condition.

"Hold tight, Martina. It will be a breathtaking adventure." Blue smiled at her convinced Martina that she was safe in his hands. That he was sincere to the words he just said.

In the middle of the cold night, Blue brought her to the rooftop of the entire building. It was a magnificent adventure as he climbed into the walls effortlessly, using his abilities as a werewolf.

It was hard for Martina to believe everything she saw, but there was a part of her that trusted his abilities. The moment they stepped into the opened rooftop and let go of her hands, she felt unfortunate.

She couldn't understand herself anymore. Her decisions were precise and final, yet, with just a snap of a wise man's finger, everything turned upside down like an old table.

After a long, deafening silence, watching him from a distance almost melted her heart. Martina believed that their first meeting was one of the kind. She had never read the same beginning before, whether she accept it or not, it gave her a lesson as a writer.

"W-would you mind if I ask your name?" She started, clenching her fists behind her back. "As what I'd told you, I lost my memory since I woke up."

"Blue… Blue Dobinson," he replied shortly. "And you are Martina Green, am I right?"

The brightness on his face was shrouded as it was being replaced by a cold, frightening presence. All out of a sudden, in Martina's eyes, he became the man she'd met that night.

It made her heart skip a beat. She won't deny it. She won't lie this time as there was no time to see him again.

And the moment he heard him calling her by her name, it amused her and became like a piece of music to her ears.

"Yes, you're right. How did you know?" She was curious even though her mother told already her that a few of her IDs were gone inside of her purse.

Martina looked at him without a blink of an eye. But she was taken aback when he took something from his pocket.

"It's best to give these back to the owner. I don't need them anymore as you couldn't even remember my name." Blue walked towards her and surrendered her identifications.

It was the fastest way to forget her as much as possible. "This is the only way I could say goodbye to you, Martina. I do understand that we are not meant for each other because of our differences." He said as there was bitterness in his voice.

However, Martina remained still as she didn't move even a bit. His words were forthright that surprised and left her speechless.

Her green eyes sparkled until she asked a question that caught his guard off.

"Did you really believe that I lost my memory?"
