Saving the old man

Martina took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. She couldn't stop thinking about her parents and most especially when the signal bars disappeared.

Her heart stopped beating. She didn't want to blink her eyes as it might change the silence that somehow gave her solace.

"Keep them safe and sound," Martina whispered into the thin air as she put back the cellular phone into her purse.

She then turned her gaze at the window and watched the beautiful scenery around. It was undeniably a perfect landscape bounded with tall, breathtaking trees.

There were birds flying around as it was a paradise where animals deserved to live. Aside from the tweeting birds, Martina noticed some colorful butterflies that caught her attention.

She gasped and covered her mouth out of astonishment. It seemed like a dream come true for her as it calmed her soul and body.

"Where are we?" She asked.
