The Change

Gu Zhu stared at the little girl before him, she looked quite cute holding her forehead and staring at him.

'What the hell am I thinking about?'

Gu Zhu snapped out of his thoughts and ignored Little Cherry, he walked away.

"What the hell is wrong with this guy?", Little Cherry stomped her foot and continued walking.

"Little Cherry!", a familiar male voice sounded from behind.

Little Cherry turned around to see Lu Yan waving at her not too far away.

Little Cherry waved back and continued walking, ignoring him.

"Hey!", Lu Yan run towards her in a fast pace.

"Did you get annoyed or something like that?", Lu Yan stared at her face, it was bright red.

"I...Why do you ask?", Little Cherry faced him, her hands resting on her waist.

"It's so evident on your face! Have you noticed that you don't act or innocent and childish like before?", Lu Yan leaned over and slightly pinched her cheeks.

"That's because I am... wait! How do you know I used to be so innocent in the past?", Little Cherry looked at Lu Yan suspiciously.

"I... I've been...I've been following you around since you came to this school! I wanted to be your friend but at that time I was a bit shy and couldn't approach you!", Lu Yan did not dare look at Little Cherry as he spoke, he wondered if she would get angry.

"What the! Lu Yan how old are you now?", Little Cherry asked in a low voice.

"Why are you asking?", Lu Yan's face turned red.

"Just answer me!"

"I'm twelve!"

"See? You're older than me but I'm much more courageous than you? You were actually hiding from me for more than three years? You deserve some applause!", Little Cherry dramatically clapped her hands.

Lu Yan's face turned bright red with embarrassment.

"Hey I was just kidding!", Little Cherry hung her arm around his neck and ruffled his hair.

Lu Yan snorted and the two walked to the class together.

Gu Zhu watched the two walking together and snorted.

Little Cherry stood in front of the mirror and tied her long bun into a messy bun.

"Gosh! I've tried getting rid of this hair so many times but it just grows longer the next day!", Little Cherry almost hit the mirror as she spoke.

"Innocent since childhood? It was just a cover up! Time to be my real self", Little Cherry smirked.

It was true that there were some weird things about her which made her a bit different from other normal kids but that never meant she had been innocent.

All the answers to her questions would surely be answered one day.

"Oh my gosh who's that handsome guy over there?", A student giggled and tapped her friend continuously.

"Oh my gosh he's so beautiful and cute, aww I wish he was my boyfriend!", A student whispered.

Dressed in baggy plack pants and a large black top with a black cap and white shoe, Little Cherry walked down the streets with a strawberry lollipop in her mouth.

"He's so handsome!", A girl's eyes almost popped out as she admired him.

"Let's go get his WeChat ID...I bet he has so many followers!"

"His skin colour is so sexy right? I've never seen this skin colour before, whiter than snow!"

"What a perfect boyfriend he would make!"

Little Cherry hung the pink headphone around her neck, glanced at the girls admiring her and winked at them.

"Oh my gosh, he winked at me!", One girl jumped around crazily.

Little Cherry hung the headphone back around her ears and continued jogging home.

"I'm home!", Little Cherry announced as she changed into her house slippers.

"Little Cherry!", Ming Xi hugged her tightly.

Little Cherry's eyebrows were slightly raised in confusion, what was going on?

"Oh my dear I'm so proud of you!", Su Fungle joined the hug.

Little Cherry looked at Su Fui who was standing not too far away with a questioning gaze but he only shook his head, he also did not know what was going on.

"Mom what's wrong?", Little Cherry asked softly.

"Little Cherry you were jumped grades, instead of being in eighth grade you've been jumped to the tenth grade because of your excellent performances!"

Little Cherry had transferred to a new school because the previous school she attended was recently not academically good.

She had transferred to one of the best high schools in the country, Shinwa High School.

"Is that so?", Little Cherry was not actually surprised, she had already expected something like this.

"You...you are not shocked or surprised?", Ming Xi asked surprisedly.

"Uh-huh! It was within my expectations already but I'll still have to write an appreciation letter to show my appreciation!"

"Oh my Little Cherry is still the best unlike someone else!", Ming Xi glared at Su Fui.

"Mom why are you staring at me like that? I came out in the second position!"

"So what? You think I don't know about you flirting with the girls in your college?", Su Fungle slapped his head.

"Dad! Who told you such lies?", Su Fui asked, he looked like he would cry any moment now.

Su Fui then glanced at Little Cherry who was standing behind Ming Xi, she had pulled out her tongue at him and was making funny faces at him.

"You... Little Cherry!", Su Fui roared and chased after Little Cherry.

"Ahh...Su Fui stop chasing me!", Little Cherry screamed as she run as fast as she could.

A few minutes later...

Little Cherry was kneeling in Su Fui's room with both hands raised, Su Fui was pleased as he relaxed on his bed watching her.

Little Cherry lazily opened her eyes, she glared at Su Fui who was smiling at her at the moment.

Ming Xi and Su Fungle were having a chat downstairs when they heard a loud scream from upstairs.

"Su Fui! Did I send you to open my window?"

Followed by that was the sound of things crashing from upstairs.

"These two kids!", Ming Xi laughed softly and embraced Su Fungle, planting a kiss on his cheeks.

Little Cherry put on her uniform, grabbed her backpack and run downstairs.

"Good morning mom and dad!", Little Cherry kissed their cheeks.

"Let's get going then!"

Little Cherry and Su Fungle left together, one going to school and the other going to work.

"You... we'll know if you really studied hard when the schools are released!", Ming Xi threw a pillow at Su Fui who was busy eating.

"Mom! Why do you hate me so much?", Su Fui pulled his lips up a little, looking a little bit cute.

Su Fui waved at Su Fungle and walked off to class.

She took out her phone and wore her white earpiece listening to music.

Once again as fate had in store, she bumped heavily to someone causing her and both the person to fall onto the ground.

Little Cherry had very long hair which was beneath her butt and did not like to bundle it up when going to school, the moment she fell her long silky black hair scattered and covered the face of whomever she had fallen upon.
