The Narrator & Lazy Boy

Oliver was a foolish, ignorant, and irresponsible young man who had just turned 19. His parents let him live by himself and sent him money every month for food and other essentials, hoping that he would learn to be independent. But Oliver was terrible at managing his life. He squandered his money on useless things all the time. One Saturday morning, after saying goodbye to his friend Cassie who lived nearby, Oliver felt a weird sensation in his mind. “What the heck? Why do I hear a voice that narrates everything I do, think, and say, and sounds like it’s coming from everywhere?” Oliver said, utterly baffled and irritated by my narration.

Chapter 8: The Sorcerer’s Tale

As Oliver stood in the dark and misty forest, he listened as the sorcerer told him his tale.

The sorcerer spoke of how he had once been a powerful and respected member of his community. He had used his magic to help and heal those in need.

But one day, he had been betrayed by someone he trusted. In his anger and despair, he had turned to dark magic and had cursed the narrator.

The curse had caused the narrator's voice to be heard by all who were near him. It had been a cruel and terrible punishment for the narrator's perceived betrayal.

But as the sorcerer spoke, Oliver could hear the regret in his voice. He could tell that the sorcerer was sorry for what he had done.

"Is there any way to break the curse?" Oliver asked.

"Yes," the sorcerer replied. "But it will not be easy. You must travel to the top of the highest mountain and retrieve a flower that grows only in its snowy peak. Bring the flower back to me and I will use it to break the curse."

Oliver knew that it would be a difficult journey but he was determined to see it through. He thanked the sorcerer and set out once again on his quest...
