10 Let's Have a Party

Daniel Appeared in the living room of Lily's house where he entered the Tower. He looked around the room and noticed that it was empty. He checked I-Holo and found that he had no new messages. It seemed that he was either the first to come out of the Tower or that the three girls dies during their tutorials.

Daniel didn't believe that the three highly trained girls would die. It was possible, but highly unlikely. He walked towards the couch and sat down. He would wait for a few hours. If they didn't come out in that time than he could only say that their intwined fate in this life was quick and short.

While he waited he researched some of the interesting news circulating the web. A lot of the content focused on the people who took the Faith God path. They would use this clout to gain fans and thus a limited amount of faith. The stars chose this path because it was the easiest way to extend their lives. Daniel thought it to be a stupid path, because the power wasn't truly theirs. When their popularity waned so would their strength. Daniel would never choose to make this his main source of power. It could be a good supplement though. He would have to do some experiments first to test his hypothesis in his mind.

Suddenly, there was a distortion in the room and a girl around the age of 16 with black hair and eyes appeared in the room. She looked around the room thus finding Daniel.

Without a single word she walked to the chair across from him and sat down.

Daniel smiled at her and asked, "Julie, How'd it go?"

The only response he got was silence. He could only chuckle to himself in amusement as he didn't really expect a reply anyway. It was more because he found her quietness interesting. When he tried talking to her she never responded, but he could tell it made her slightly nervous, so with nothing else to do it was fun messing with the girl.

"Did you trade all your points for a beauty upgrade? I think you may have become even more gorgeous than before!" Said Daniel, as he tried to get under Julies skin.

It seemed to work as Julie squirmed in her chair and turned her body away from Daniel, so that her back is facing him.

Daniel could make out the slightest blush on her face, before she could turn completely. It seemed that he had accomplished his goal, so he ignored her to play on the I-holo once more.

A few minutes later and two more distortions appeared in the room. they were of course Lily and Sarah. Both looked the same as before they entered the Tower. Of course their cloths were dirty and they seemed quit tired.

The two girls ran towards Julie and initiated a group hug between the three. Daniel watched as they cheered and jumped around. He smiled at their joy and happiness. It was a blessing that they had each other. Daniel felt a bit lonely. He came to the future, where he knew no one. He was truly alone here without any family or friends to lean on.

Just as Daniel was about to sink deeper in his thoughts, a hand grabbed each of his, and dragged him off the couch. He looked to see Lily and Julie each holding his hands.

Lily smiled at him and said, "It's time to celebrate! Come on Daniel! My Mom will be exiting the Tower soon and so are Sarah's parents! let's set up a party!"

He nodded and was pulled into the kitchen as the girls chatted getting streamers and balloons. It seemed that even in the future, people still like the simple things.

A few minutes later a drone dropped off the party supplies, and Daniel was in charge of blowing up the balloons. With his super powered lungs it was quite simple and fast. He just didn't expect that this would be the first thing out of the Tower he would use his new abilities on.

It took about an hour and the party was all set to go. The girls ordered pizza and had a cake delivered as well. They went to their rooms to shower and change, and told Daniel to do the same. Lily said that their parents would most likely be here within the next hour.

On the first floor of the Tower you could use the electronics to contact people back on Earth. Some people even used this to live stream their challenge, to either earn money, fame, or even faith. So it was no problem for Lily to know when her mom would be leaving the Tower.

Daniel showered and put on the change of clothes that a servant brought him. He had been wondering why the servants didn't speak much when he realized that they were robots. Besides for the butler who drives Lily, the rest of the servants in the house were robots.

Daniel could only sigh. He used to be a pioneer in the science and technology community. Now he feels like an elderly man trying to figure out how to work an I-phone. It was definitely a new experience for him.

He walked back towards the kitchen when he ran into a short green haired teenage girl. She was wearing a white dress and was barefoot. She seemed to roughly be 17 years old. She had white skin, red lips, and a button nose. Definitely a top quality beauty.

As Daniel almost bumped into her, he said, "Sorry, I didn't see you there. Are you by chance a friend of Lily's here for the party?"

The women put her hand in front of her mouth and let out a melodious laugh, "Aren't you a little cutie. Handsome and quite strong for your age. Lily better watch out or I might steal you from her."

Daniel could only scratch the back of his head as he thought, 'I'm not that young. Plus, you're this tiny little thing, who's probably only a few years older than me. What's up with this big sister act.'

Although Daniel thought this, he could only say out loud, "Umm Yeah. Thank you for the compliment. Can I ask for your name, young miss?"

This seemed to make the young girl even happier as she giggled and said, "Wow you really know how to sweet talk a girl." She signaled for Daniel to follow her towards the living room as she continued, "You can call me Daisy. I am friends with Lily. If you want to chase her romantically, then you of course have to get my permission." She said as she winked at Daniel.

"Uhh, I think Lily is great, but we just met. I think we might be friends but even that I'm not sure." Daniel said as he tried to make this situation less awkward. He had no idea who this flirty and mischievous girl was. He really just wanted to meet the three girls parents to be polite, then go to his room to start training.

When they got to the living room, Daniel saw the three girls and two other teenagers. The two strangers looked to be around 18 to 19 years old. It was a man and a women dressed in formal clothes. The man wore a blue suit that seemed tight to his body. He had short brown hair and blue eyes. If a man was going to be on a business magazine this man fit the bill perfectly. The women next to him wore a red dress that was form fitting. It match her red hair and lips. She was very beautiful and could easily be Sarah's older sister.

Daniel then looked towards Daisy next him and realized that she could also be an older sister to Lily by perhaps a year. The girls never said that they didn't have siblings, and it would make sense to invite them to this party. However this conjecture was thrown out the window when Lily saw Daniel and Daisy enter the room. She sprinted across the room and jumped into Daisy's arms.

Daniel could make out Lily's sobs as she said, "Mom I missed you so so much. Don't leave me again."

Daniel stood there with his mind in shambles, 'Mom?! This girl is clearly a year at most older than you. How could she be your mom? Does that mean that man and women over there are Sarah's Parents?!'

As Daniel processed this new information, Daisy patted her daughter back and said, "I'm home. Don't worry dear. I won't be leaving anytime soon." As she comforted Lily, she managed to calm down and Lily separated from her arms.

"Thanks Mom. I'm glad you're home. I really missed you." Lily said. Then Lily's face brightened and said, "Mom! guess what?! I passed the tutorial and am gonna walk the Natures Path like you! Maybe my seed I plant will be a flower too, then we can cultivate together! Wouldn't that be great!"

As Lily started to ramble she didn't notice that her mother face fell from happy to angry almost instantly. When Lily looked up at her mother in excitement, she saw a cold and harsh look, which made her shiver in fear.

Daisy spoke slowly, as her very word seemed to pierce the air, "YOU. DID. WHAT?!"

The room went silent as Daisy continued, "I thought I told you, you were to wait until I got home before entering the Tower. You could have died. Do you have anything to say for yourself?!"

Lily curled in on herself, and she hurriedly scanned the room for help. She looked towards her friend Julie, then looked towards Sarah and her parents. She could see that her parents were about to go off in anger as well. Frantically looking for a solution, her eyes came to rest on Daniel. Her eyes brightened, then looked at her mom.

"Mom I know you told me to wait. We were really planning on it too. But well, you see we found Daniel over there. " She pointed towards Daniel. Everyone's eyes in the room landed on him as Lily continued speaking, "And well, He was so lost and confused. He got this idea of entering the Tower. I told him it was a bad idea. I really did! But you see, he's a real charmer, and he got Julie to fall in love with him. He then had Julie convince us to enter the Tower at the same time as him. And as you know, Julie is real convincing. Once she gets an idea, theres no shutting her up. Quite the talker. She finally convinced Sarah and then they outvoted me" Lily paused to catch her breathe. The eyes that had been on Daniel, were now looking at Lily strangely.

"So Mom, as you can see, it's really not my fault. If you had to blame someone then it's best to blame Daniel, Julie, and Sarah. It's them who made me do it." Lily smiled with pride. Seeming to believe her story would stand up.

Daisy looked at her daughter and could only sigh in grief. She could only think,'How could I have such a silly daughter. Does she actually think anyone would believe that? What's up with that goofy smile on your face? Maybe I should spend more time at home, or maybe hire some tutors for her.'

"Okay. I'm not mad at you anymore. You just have to remember that the Tower is not a game." said Daisy. She gestured for Lily and Daniel to take a seat, "Come introduce your friend here, and tell us about your adventures."

Lily smiled happily, thankful that she was so quick witted. She glanced at Daniel with some embarrassment and sat down next to him. "This is Daniel Grey. We found him during our final exam. It was pretty weird actually." Then she pointed towards the man and women, "Daniel that is Mr. John Starfire and his wife, Mrs. Laura Starfire. They are Sarah's parents."

Daniel got up and shook their hands and said a few pleasantries. Then returned to his seat.

Lily then lifted her moms hand who was sitting next to her, "This is my mom Daisy Reinhart. Don't let her young looks fool you though, she's an old fart."

Daniel had to stifle his laugh as he ended up coughing into his hands.

Daisy looked at her daughter, thinking that this girl was getting bolder by the second. It seems like she's due for some punishment.

Daisy knocked her crazy daughter atop the head and said, "Don't listen to this stupid girls nonsense. I'm a young a sweet like a flower." She smiled sweetly at Daniel, which caused him to blush slightly.

She continued and said, "Enough small chat, tell us about your innate talents, tutorial results, and your paths to power!"
