Bullied by a Gorgeous
The next day Fei Yu found a circle. She couldn't walk into the corridor and go unnoticed.
"Hey, new fish, what's your name?" a sturdy-looking boy asked.
"People call me Redhead. You can call me gorgeous," the girl replied. She didn't remember her name, which these immature boys had no right to know.
Some of the boys and girls snorted and some sneered.
"What's going on here?" Fei Yu's eyes met hers. He was stunned for a moment, recognizing her cool gaze. The girl…. No, the woman…. She was tall, robust, and lean, unlike all the other lithe girls he met. With pushed-back red hair, anyone might mistake her as a young boy.
Some boys pushed his back for a duel. Though he was quite skilled, he was mostly popular for his looks not for his fights.
The girl stood without blinking at all. She also recognized the intruder. The monolid eyes. The puffy lips. The straight nose. Black hair that formed a bun on the back of his head. She stared, unfazed.
He wanted to tell the girl that it was she who was in the wrong place—men's bath—not he. But he didn't. After all, he had the manner of a gentleman, who didn't want to embarrass the girl in front of a mob.
The girl looked strangely cool and calm with a tint of a smile on her lips. Fei Yu could sense the desire beneath her cold gaze. He always enjoyed female attention.
"Now, you?" the girl spoke, tilting her staff towards him. She already defeated a boy.
There was no going back. Fei Yu raised his staff for the fight to begin.
The girl was extraordinarily good. No one could tell she held a staff for the first time. Fei Yu managed to block her attacks for a while. But with a quick strike, she disarmed him.
Fei Yu wasn't willing to be a coward. He had to put on a good show in front of the school. He willed to fight with his bare arm.
The girl dropped her staff to make it a fair fight. She blocked Fei Yu's unarmed strikes, feeling the touch of his hands. It was strange to her that it felt good. She got confused for a moment—why she wanted the touch of that boy more.
He took it as an advantage and hit on the chest of the girl with the heel of his palm. Her heart felt the thud and almost skipped a beat. She fell on the floor. The air got stuck inside her lungs. Her body responded with some low coughs.
But she felt that intense touch of his hand on her chest. She liked it. She stayed on the ground, doe-eyedly watching the winner boy.
"Are you bullying the newbie?" Master Galen appeared behind her. Everyone bowed while Fei Yu stretched his hand to help the girl to rise.
"It's okay, Master. We were sparring." The redheaded girl took his hand and got up. That sparkle of touch again…
Students wondered why their Master was too kind to her. But the girl doubted the sly smile-wearing face. Master Galen was a former spy of the emperor. She hardly trusted anyone. But June trusted him, so she had to rely on him.
Galen dismissed the other students. "Fei Yu, why don't you give our new one a tour of the campus?" Galen said, reading the gaze of the girl at Fei Yu.
"Yes, Master." He bowed. The master left.
"Hi, I'm Fei—"
"Fei Yu."
He nodded. "And what should I call you?"
"Call me Red." In the Sadow Squad, legionaries called her Nameless for taunting her as she couldn't remember her name. Some kind-hearted people like Serge called her Rookie or Red. Everybody knew she lost her memories. But nobody knew who she was. Serge was wise enough to recognize great power and utilize it.
Red and Fei Yu roamed through the campus. She kept asking him random questions about this academy and Dynasty capital, keeping him busy. She also avoided asking questions about him so that he didn't return the same question about her, which answer she didn't even know.
He still managed to ask some basic questions like where she was from, which she answered like 'from an outskirt village' and all the other bullshit she could master.
But none of them mentioned the bathroom incident and pretended as if it never happened….
