“We’re going to need Taigh for this,” Arras said quietly.
Rhea, Arras, Aedan, and Brennus volunteered to go talk to Tristana about giving a few drops of blood for the cure. The three vampires were all turned by Taigh’s lover, so they needed to talk Tristana into giving a drop of blood for each of them, including one for her. There would be strength in numbers if Tristana proved to be in a bad mood. However, they had hope. With Taigh there, and since Tristana had become friendly with Rhea, Tristana wouldn’t feel trapped or forced. That was the last thing any of them wanted Tristana to feel.
They all stood waiting for Arras’ brother at the crumbled end of the old manor. The day had passed uneventfully and the night was now falling. The sun was setting slowly on the cloud-free horizon.
Taigh suddenly appeared, striding out of the bushes like he was taking a casual walk.
“You made it,” Arras said dryly.
