The Search

As soon as Jack slowly opened his eyes he noticed he was surrounded by officers who were visiting him. They couldn't believe what had happened as Jack narrated what had happened to the police.

The police assured to look into the case at hand whilst Jack stayed at the hospital to recover. But the bond between Amy and Jack was so strong that Jack disappeared from the hospital bed into the night to look for his dear friend.

Jack walked through the cold streets asking about his friend Amy. But all gave a negative reply.

Jack felt hopeless until Jack came across a man who seemed to be a witness to what went on in the hospital. He had seen the two strong men drive away with Amy. This made me a bit suspicious since the weather was foggy

I mean how could someone see the men with all this fog? Thus the man became a suspect.

I then replied, "Spill the beans, Where is Amy?"

Suddenly he started to feel kind of sweaty, I called the police to take him to the police station for further investigation. But the man suddenly ran away but I wasn't going to let him get away so I chased after him till he was surrounded by the flashing lights of the police.

"Alright Mr., start talking, "I said as the man was shivering in fear.

"You heard the man start talking" the officer added.

"Okay, I'll talk, I'm the guy you were supposed to meet tonight but I don't have enough time to explain things so just listen, the henchmen who took Amy are working for the Moringos." The man exclaimed.

" Who the hell are they?"

"They are powerful people who are ready to dominate the world. They knew about the three detectives and decided to kidnap Amy and hold her hostage that way they can threaten you guys to quit the investigation and they can have their way." the man replied.

"I can't believe it"

"Neither can I kid" replied Officer Dave.

"Listen I don't have much time just take this address You'll meet Mick my associate tomorrow at Milestone Bridge he'll explain everything to you"

"What do you mean you don't have much time, What's going on" I curiously asked.

"Just do what I've told you, kid."

Just then the man fell on the ground with blood oozing out of his body and a car drove speedily away from the police station. The officer quickly rushed the strange man to the hospital but passed away on the way to the infirmary.

"Damn, now how do we find out more about the Moringos," the officer asked.

"He already gave us the answer we'll have to visit this Mike to get the answers from him, Let's go, officer."

"Woa kid, easy you're in no good condition to go out like this I'm taking you back to the hospital, everyone might be worried sick " After a lengthy persuasion I agreed and we drove back to the hospital.

"Make sure everything is complete and ready for tonight" "Sure I will I'll make sure to keep that Junior Detective under control." said the other person on the phone who surprisingly was the officer.

The officer headed to the hospital to carry out the assignment the Moringos had given him. He waited patiently until everyone had left the room before he began his assignment to poison Jack.

He quietly unlocked the door and headed straight for Jack's driblet. He then carefully took out an unknown but toxic substance and was about to reach for the drip when Jack grabbed his hand.

As it had turned out during the trip to the hospital, Jack had overheard his conversation with the anonymous person on the phone and knew exactly when he'd carry out his assignment.

The two fought violently and eventually, Jack surprisingly overpowered the officer and got him to talk. As it had turned out he was also working for the Moringos. He was assigned to keep Jack from further investigating the case. He then revealed that Jack and his family were in danger and that the Moringos would risk everything to wipe out him and his family.

Jack suddenly took out the drip from his hand and abruptly walked out of the hospital ward. He later called Depior to come pick him up.

"Man, thanks for your help"

"No problem dude "he said as he puffed his cigarette.

"So what have got on our hands, Jake,"

"Nothing much just another case involving the Moringos,"

"Wait man, the Moringos" replied Depior suddenly surprised.

"Man, those guys are powerful people who would wipe out anyone who tries to stand in their way. Man, I better not mess with them if I were you."

"That's exactly what I'll do dude. I'll stop them. "

"Dude, are you okay you're going to get yourself killed and besides you have nothing to defend yourself with,"

"Tell that to the guy who took down Officer Dave in the hospital" Jake replied.

Depior laughed as he puffed his cigarette. Moments later, they pulled over to a motel to rest for the night before they began the investigation tomorrow.
