The heroic merchant

<p>Our story starts in the city of Askari the city of different races, where we get introduced to our main character called Dominic Williams. He looks like a normal murchant to some but to those who know him well in the days of old was once one of the most powerful mages in the world, known as Malkin the mage of legend others know him as the mysterious traveller. He doesn't want people to know his true identity so he hides it, for a long time now he has lived a normal life until an incident forces him to use his skills for more greater things then being a humbled merchant. On this day a herd of bulls is being chased by a pack of drake wolves and there heading straight for the market where Dominic is.<br/><br/> Thankfully a few adventurers managed to stop some of them but not all, the rest managed to get through there barricade and are heading straight for Vern an elven friend of Dominic who wasn't paying attention, because he went to get something from the back of his store to come back and find that the bulls and were heading straight for him. Dominic couldn't let the animals ruin his friends business so he stepped in the way of the bulls and froze them in place only to find out that they were being chased by wolves, who were now chasing him he baited them and used his skills to create a cage around them. He finished just in time for the adventurers to arrive and see him standing next to the caught wolves and bulls.<br/> They were confused how a simple merchant could have achieved something that they themselves couldn't they thanked Dominic then left. That incident got Dominic thinking about the good old days when he and his friends used to go galavanting from place to place taking on the most hardest of quests, But it all stopped the day his dwarven friend was killed by a demon after they took down the old demon lord Asakil. When Dominic found out what happened he devoted his life to find the demon who killed his friend, and he did the following year he found the demon outside a cave and killed it. Ever since then he has never used his skills except to help him with his new job of being a merchant, there group grew further and further apart throughout the years and now don't speak to one another.<br/> Vern was amazed and shocked at how Dominic managed to do that Dominic just replied "that's my little secret," with a smirk on his face. Vern then tried to convince Dominic to join the adventurers guild which at first he refused, but Vern didn't stop and he got the rest of the merchants to help him do it. Eventually they convinced Dominic to agree and the same day Vern escorted him to the adventurers guild, he registered under the name Dominic and the mage category but when he was told to demonstrate his skills he decided to use one of his weakest skills so he was then put in the lowest rank Rank-E he was ok with that. But things got bad when he was about to leave the attendant Lisa told to wait someone wants to speak to him about something. So Dominic waited a short while until the person who wanted to speak to him showed up. His eyes were shocked to see his old team mate Mark.<br/> Apparently Mark just wanted to meet with the new mage since there hasn't been alot of mages these years but he was also shocked to see Dominic who he recognised immediately. They then greated each other and just to be funny Mark asked what made you come back "One of my friends convinced me to rejoin," Dominic answered then Mark asked what rank he was put in so Dominic showed him. When Mark saw that Dominic was put in the lowest rank he got a bit angry so he called the Lisa and asked her why she put him in the lowest rank. She simply replied "because he is new at being an adventurer isn't he his skill level surely tells me that." Mark looked at Dominic who just smiled back then Mark told Lisa to change him from a Rank-E to at least a Rank-C. This confused Lisa but she did as she was told and Dominic was promoted to Rank-C on one condition made by Mark. Before he ranks up he will need to prove that he hasn't lost his skills.<br/> So he challenged Dominic to complete a rank A quest which was to kill an ogre and bring it body back within 5 days. Dominic didn't want to but Mark convinced him so he started the quest on Monday afternoon and it was due on Friday morning. So Dominic went out the door to sart the quest then came back just before the door had finished closing and said, "Oh yeah I forgot I already did that just yesterday when picking some herbs so here you go." Dominic then opens his dimensional storage and pulls out the body of the ogre which shocked everyone but what shocked them even more is that it wasn't just any ogre but a mountain ogre, which were way harder to kill then the other ones and was a Rank AS quest. Dominic was then immediately promoted to Rank-A for his amazing kill which the other adventurers were angry with him because killing an ogre wasn't an easy job.</p>
