Taking advantage

My voice was clear and loud, "Sir Mac, are you joking with me? Why would I treat a dead patient?--" my expression was emotionless. Khalid was puzzled by my words too.

It was silent for a moment. Neither Mac spoke nor did I complete my sentence. Both have understood the situation.

"WHAT…what do you mean? Why would I joke, the patient isn't still dead…he is …" Mac shuttered.

"On the verge of death… Is it different from being dead? He has been in coma for a few

days and won't be able to survive long." Even without touching I could analyse the situation by looking closely at the patient. Normal or any other people won't even notice the breathing and heartbeat of the patient.

Mac: "Without checking, how can you determine the situation of the patient? All nonsense."

His reaction and words were within my expectations. Even when he was speaking something harsh but his focus was never out of me. As expected of the senior of X.
