Conversation with Nia

Back at the house when I entered, saw two people at the dining table. Oh shit !! I forget that they would be back today. But I am not in a condition to have a chat with them.

"Both of you have rest as it is already night. We will talk tomorrow. All of you help yourself with the accommodation. Don't disturb me." saying this much I entered my room and shut the door.

Despite feeling hungry, I slept as soon as I lay on the bed. Sometimes I couldn't control my sleepiness as I am now. My energy has been draining at a fast pace these days.

Early in the morning when I went out of the room as I was feeling hungry, I found Ray in the kitchen making breakfast. (Yes, the person who arrived yesterday was Ray and Nia)

"Good morning B, What do you want for breakfast or as usual?"

"As usual."

"Ok"

"Ray, did any of you meet that man yesterday? Was he out of the room?" I pointed towards Del's room.

"The one who was unconscious before? No, he didn't exit the room when we were here. I, myself arranged the room for Nia and the other girl and still, he didn't open the door. So, no I suppose."

"Oh!! then that's good. Don't let that girl Eve and him meet. After breakfast, you make an arrangement for her accommodation somewhere for some days and look after her closely. ' I can't let Eve (I have changed her face so I gave her a new identity before entering the clinic) and Del meet each other. Nothing serious just being cautious.'

Del won't react to Eve as he had left her for me but don't know what her reaction will be if she saw Del.

"Sure"

"Tell me about Nia, how is she and how was her reaction after being lucid?"

"First when she was awake she was acting afraid and terrified. So, the white-bearded old man asked to extend the stay. She is fine now but quieter. She has asked me who helped her. She thought I helped her but I told her, my Boss (you) had helped and I was just following your order by staying with her. She insisted on meeting you so we arrived yesterday evening, otherwise, we would have returned today. She seems to be in some emergency."

"Okay fine. Send her to the basement after breakfast before you leave with Eve. I have to talk to her. And yeah let Eve have shopping to buy dresses and her necessities." I carried my breakfast and went to the basement. I transferred some money to Ray.

As I was checking the information sent by my informers on the basement, Ray brought Nia into the room and left us alone. She sat on a chair feeling awkward and spoke in a small voice," Hellooo, Thank you... for helping me. Whaa...t should I.. call you?"

"Relax. Call me B. And how are you feeling."

"Feeling better" she replied.

"Good then. I won't go round about my questions and let me be direct- Why were you traveling to Ohane city and resigned from Capital University Research Lab?"

After hearing my question she was on high alert and looked at me as if she was trying to look through my soul "How do you know about this?"

"I have my ways. Didn't Ray tell you that I rescued you from the train to the hospital and here? Oh yeah, don't worry about your mother too. She is in her parent's place safely. I have helped a stranger in times of difficulty. So, don't worry I won't hurt as it's not worth killing a person who I saved. That will waste my efforts. I want answers from you because they could help me somehow or assist me to find some clues I am searching for. "

"Sor...ry, I shouldn't have dou..bted you. Ray has told me everything from the train to here in detail. I also talked with my mother and she also told me about you. It's just I can't be sure if I should trust you or not." she spoke in a small voice.

"Then don't trust me now because some other say to believe me. It should develop from your heart and don't tell me the reasons now. But who is Mr. Green, is it important for you to meet him as your mother said?"

"No-No, there is no Mr. green I lied to mom. Actually, I found out some abnormality has been happening in Ohane city for some months so I was traveling to observe the situation. It could be said to be some mistake on my part."

"Is it something serious?"

"Can't say serious as I don't know the detail. But for sure not good, I have to speed up my investigation. Otherwise, that may cause a disaster. I don't want to regret it later whatever my search outcome will be."

Me: "Okay"

"B, Can you help me out with this investigation in Ohane City? You will know the reason yourself. Maybe it could help you too."

"Why will I help?..... But if you can fulfill one of my wishes then I will." I have got selfish thoughts in my mind.

"What is your wish?"

Me: "I can't tell you now so just make a promise to fulfill later."

She was silent for a while. "Okay, whatever it is I will do it. I am sure you won't make me do things against my principles."

"Sure, Oh!! anything that needs to prepare before leaving. I will book the ticket for tomorrow's flight. You go back and rest. You may also roam Weery City maybe that could help to clear out your thoughts."

"I am new here so I may be lost here. Can you accompany me if you are free?" she asked in a gentle voice.

"I would love to but I have work. You can give Ray a call and join him together with Eve. Maybe he hasn't gone far away. Hurry up."

"Okay"

I walked out leaving her alone. Later she joined Ray's group. I messaged Ray to help Nia to do the shopping too.

As I had to leave tomorrow, I had to make some arrangements. Maybe I won't return back to Weery City soon. My journey could be continued from Ohane City to Belovgad.

I had to have a talk with Del before leaving so I knocked on the door, he opened and I spoke, "Del how are you? I would leave Weery City tomorrow, will you like to come along? And you have something to talk to me about, what is it...Can we talk now?" I hoped he will answer some of my queries and curiosity.

"Did something happen? Why so suddenly leaving?" Del questioned me.

Note: The name of Eva will be changed to Eve from this chapter as her new identity.
