29 •Woman Is Strong

Everybody tries to convince themselves that they're right , sometimes it gets to a point where wrong looks right.

"My squad will take care of you two."

"Sorry , not interested."

"?!"

"I'm just here to pick Bishop and escape. So I'll get going , also I know that the squad will take few more seconds to arrive..."

Gray walked towards Krev and took out a mask out of his pocket , he picked him up on his shoulder and started walking away from Jean. Surprisingly Krev neither resisted nor cursed.

"So don't try to waste my time by talking with me."

'Hah'

Jean let a huge sigh out and cracked her knuckles.

"Then we've a problem..."

Gray stopped walking and threw Krev on his left.

"I guess we do."

Saying that he turned around , just as he turned around he felt a hand reaching for his neck. Unable to dodge , Gray stood there with Jean holding his neck.

"Ah yes , choke me harder..."

"Keep your damn mouth shut."

Jean easily lifted Gray's body in the air , looking at this sight from far away the citizens were in awe.

"Damn , that woman is strong."

"Yeah dude , although I don't mind her choking me to death. Hehehehe."

"Bro , you'll be dead in seconds if she did that to you. These mutants are on whole another level."

Even though Jean held him in her hand she wasn't confident with how the situation was.

'This doesn't feel right.'

Gray's left hand started moving as he said ,

"Unfortunately , Miss Jean. I'm more of a sadistic-type"

'Keuk'

In the next moment Jean found herself buried in the ground , she couldn't even move her body a inch. Gray was sitting on her stomach with his hand wrapped around her neck , as he let go of her neck Jean was finally able to catch a breath.

'Ah , I want to punch her face so badly. Her struggling face-'

Gray got up and slapped himself.

'Control Gray... Control.'

"Well then , sayonara."

Saying that he started running away from her with Krev on his shoulder.

Jumping from one building to another Gray was heading for the base , on his way there he thought of something fun to do.

'Archbishop Seven must be in a meeting right now.'

Suddenly a devil-like smile appeared on his face.

'Hehehehe , let's do it.'

As he landed on the top of the building the ground below him cracked a bit , Gray unlocked his phone and opened Utube. With fast fingers he opened a video and shared it to Seven within seconds.

"I wish I was there to see her reaction."

At the same time like Gray thought Seven was attending an important online meeting.

"Archbishop Seven , I respect you. I really do. But what the f*ck is wrong with you? That kid is a rare specimen and if our church exposes his identity like that-"

Archbishop Kerse interrupted Archbishop Denes and said ,

"Archbishop Denes , chill down a bit. We all are on the same side."

After calming Archbishop Denes down Kerse further continued ,

"First of all let's hear what Archbishop Seven has to say. Maybe she was just trying something out , some new kind of training?"

"Oh come on , we all know you're a simp. I always see you at the top of her fan club. Anyways If it someway benefitting the kid please tell me how."

Seven pressed the 'unmute' button and said ,

"Although I really appreciate your support Archbishop Kerse , I've-"

'Tweak'

It was the message notification that interrupted her , it was Gray's message.

'What is this link?'

Unknown of the danger that the link possessed Seven clicked on it.

"Never gonna give you up~

Never gonna let you go~"

Before the male singer could continue Seven locked her phone and quickly placed it back where it was. She was on unmute which meant everyone in the meeting could hear her. Luckily her camera was off , which was why everyone couldn't see her embarrassed face.

There were total of 19 participants in this meeting , all of them were Archbishops. They had the power to destroy a whole city if they wanted to , but right now all of them were speechless.

The first one to react was one of Seven's fan , Kerse.

"Hahahaha , Archbishop Seven you got us."

'Huh?'

Right after he said that Archbishop Jade also said ,

"F*ck , I've been avoiding those links for a year now. I didn't expect to get rolled by you Seven."

'What are these people talking about?'

Even Archbishop Denes who was quite angry at Seven couldn't help himself and burst into laughter.

"Imagine getting rolled by Seven."

Even though they couldn't see each others faces they all knew that the Archbishops sitting behind the screen atleast chuckled.

Meanwhile Seven got another message on her phone , this time it was Kerse.

'What the hell did Gray send me?'

Coming back to her senses Seven got everyone's attention and started speaking.

"Anyways , I know that all my fellow Archbishops have already heard about it. If someone didn't let me give you a summary , a month ago Archbishop Seil came across a young man. After fighting with him he decided to let him enter the church directly as a Bishop."

"At that many of the Archbishops were sent on different missions which was why I arranged the meeting with the few ones available. The meeting concluded with Bishop Krev being assigned under me ; and today I've failed. He went on a rampage few days ago and he went on another one today."

There was pin drop silence in the online meeting room as Seven continued ,

"My way of handling didn't really raise him well in the given , my assassination skills are not even average compared to other Archbishops. And so I've decided to pass him on to someone else."

"Archbishop Akuma , could you please unmute yourself?"

"What do you think I am? A babysitter? If you think I'm just sit there and let him do whatever he wants then you're wrong Seven."

Everyone in the meeting always used the rank given while addressing the member except Akuma.

"I'm not a softy like you."

He only used the rank when he thought the person was on the same level as his. In this case he believed that Seven was weaker than him which is why he didn't address her with her rank.

"I know you don't like to take orders , that's why I want you come here and see him yourself. Do you think a kid that Seil picked up would be boring?"

Archbishop Seil unmuted himself and said ,

"Akuma , you should check him out. Also while you're there beat that brat Gray for me , that f*cker sent me a p*rn video when I was on a date."

"Hmm... I guess I'm free enough to beat Gray and while I'm doing that I'll check the kid out too. But it'll only happen if the other Archbishops agree."

Jade who was already unmuted said ,

"Just take him , I'm already busy on the frontline. You city one's have it easy."

The red mic icon below the name Archbishop Coke disappeared as he said ,

"Well if it weren't for us you frontliners wouldn't be able to survive , not all attacks are initiated from the opposite side , sometimes there are traitors among our country too. I don't care , just take him Archbishop Akuma."

Like that Archbishops had a debate between themselves while voting for what would happen to Krev.

"Well then , the meeting concludes with 14 out of 19 votes to let Archbishop Akuma take Krev under him."

With that final statement Seven ended the meeting , after streching her arms she laid back on her chair and looked at the ceiling and said ,

"So I'm a softy , huh."
