Chapter 195: RWBY (1)
~Mash B. POV~
[Matoi Mansion]
Building everything up and having a private lab again felt great. It's been a few days since we have gotten Ryuko her new mansion fixed again but this time she's coming along for the ride it seems on my crazy adventure.
Everything's set for the next world I have in mind. It's possibly the most dangerous yet but the most profitable and I also need to upgrade my partner in this new project and find a way for her to use Mana.
The reason why is that while was traveling together I used the [Party System] to form a party with me so we could also stay linked and check each other's strengths. And I have to say observing Ryuko's status was mind-boggling but for a different reason.
[Party Member Status: Ryuko Matoi]
----
Name: Ryuko Matoi
Class: Delinquent
Race: Life Fiber-Human Hybrid
Title: Wandering Vagabond
Level: 100 Exp: 0/110%
HP: 4750/4750
MP: 0/0
STR: 100 (+35)
AGI: 100 (+35)
VIT: 150 (+50)
INT: 80
SEN: 150 (+35)
LUCK: 80
Stat Points: 0
----
Yeah… Ryuko is more of a physical fighter than much I figured. Her lack of talent in Magic or Mana is quite concerning but at least she's that strong in BASE form. Now add Senketsu then everything changes.
Her family race also plays a big role in her abilities. And I have to say they're very useful given the perks given.
[Race: Life Fiber-Human Hybrid
Description: As a Life Fiber-infused human, they possess immense physical strength, speed, reflexes, durability, and endurance. Also, they are granted the passive skills [Regeneration], [Life Fiber Manipulation], [Skill Creation], and [Adaptation].
Due to becoming an ever-evolving race and unique abilities granted under dire circumstances! However, has a high weakness to being attacked by both sides by other Life Fibers could prove fatal otherwise this race perks having +35 stats in STR, AGI, and SEN. +50 stats in VIT!]
That's just unfair of her race abilities. The mere concept of living, parasitic clothing/armor is like the Spawn comic series. Al Simmons has a symbiotic relationship with K7-Leetha, a living suit that is actually a neural parasite from Hell made of necroplasm.
This concept is also like the Symbiotes, a race of amorphous extraterrestrial parasites that appear in the Marvel Comics shared universe, the most famous of these are Venom, Carnage, Toxin, and Anti-Venom. The Symbiotes envelop their hosts like costumes, creating a parasitic bond through which the host's mind can be influenced.
Shaking my head helplessly I made sure we prepared everything in the lab as I found a few worldlines that caught my eye. I have everything prepared and have Shinra-Koketsu if the going gets tough.
But I also created something useful for me to travel to other smaller worlds. [TOOS] to my latest creation the Restriction Bracelet.
----
Item: Restriction Bracelet
Rarity Item: B
Type: Restricting Bracelet
Description: The Restriction Bracelet was created by the REVOCS technical division with the lead head Mash Bastion creating this power-dampening device. Its true purpose was to block the user's Mana/MP Bar for the safety of the lower-tier worlds without magic.
This was created in mind for Bastion when his natural state of Mana could create [Mana Poisoning] simply by using the Mana he secretes out from his body. This was made so that he wouldn't kill the citizens by accident of the world who don't have Magic Resistance.
----
Yeah, this one was necessary for me to create. Not for a challenge mind you but because my use of Mana could lead to unnatural causes or killing a person without magic resistance.
It's partially why I haven't gone to any zombie worlds either because of my Mana. I found a few in the past but wasn't risking going into a contaminated world or influencing any virus using Mana as the catalyst.
It pays to be paranoid at times. Fortunately, though for the few worlds in mind, I can use my Mana freely because they have Magic in those worlds. Just in case I crafted Ryuko some mental warding runes and other defenses she needs traversing the new world I have in mind being mentally prepared.
I did find the High School DxD worldline I didn't want to enter just yet. I didn't want Gear Eyes to be surprised or overwhelmed by just physical strength alone and I needed to learn about life force energy too.
It just so happened this worldline while the lower level is a perfect chance to gather some materials and knowledge about this world's technology. I'm not over there to deal with that world's issues as I have no obligation to do so. Just the usual grab the info and reverse engineer their items.
With everything in order, I smirked feeling time for another adventure. At least this time I won't go alone and give Gear Eyes a fresh experience.
*Tmp*
Stepping inside my lab I heard Gear Eyes entering through wearing Senketsu as she spoke getting my attention in a loud tone, "Hey Mash! Like the new appearance? Thought we could make do with a new look so… how do I look?"
I smiled seeing her uniform instead of the sailor look changed almost identical to Junketsu dormant state admiring the Satsuki look in an intrigued tone, "Like the new look. And is that Bakuzan I see? What happened to your Scissor Blades?"
She showed me her Scissor Blades hidden in her headbands as she explained crossing her arms in an excited tone, "I have him here idiot. And for the sword, since Satsuki isn't fighting she let me have her spare considering I might need it. That and she said to tease you with my impression of her."
Ah… that checks. I nodded as I pulled out my Gamer Ring readying our next destination in a calm tone as I asked her, "Very well then. Next stop whole new world Gear Eyes I know I say these enough times but are you sure you want to do this? Last chance to back out now Gear Eyes?"
She simply rolled her eyes as she came towards me. She placed her lips against mine as she spoke in a determined and confident tone escaping my lips, "Ah… nope. I made my word to help you smartass and I'm sticking to it. You stayed for my whole shtick now I'm staying for yours."
I smiled lightly when she said those words. Very well can't say I tried to talk her out of it but it seems like we're ready for the challenges ahead. The rainbow kaleidoscope portal showed as we held hands entering the new challenges we face. Together.

[Worldline: RWBY]
[Patch, Cliffside Forest]
As we materialized outside the portal, we soon stumbled upon ourselves in a forest. I take a glance around the area; thick dark bushes and huge trees surround the place. The taste of Mana is light but there.
Slowly getting on my feet, I get a feel for the place. It's a forest obviously but I get a distinct feeling I know this area from somewhere.
Still, I wonder what's the right course of action once we find civilization and the timeline of events that occurred. But soon we stopped observing the area as from the corners of our eyes I spot two red eyes glaring at us.
"Grrr…"
… Ryuko stopped in place as I heard something I never heard from an animal before. I have never seen such creatures in my life but from a show that comes to mind.
Grimm. Made of shadows, with a mask of bone and eyes of crimson. The natural enemy of mankind. Unrelenting, insatiable, with an exclusive appetite for human flesh or hate for human life. The creatures of Grimm.
I notice my eyes landing on Grimm with Ryuko freezing up before my voice gets her out of her stupor in a calm tone, "You've never seen one before."
As I place my right hand on her shoulder, I realize that she has been clenching her right hand hard on Bakuzan's handle. Seems like I made the right choice to come here to help Gear Eyes settle with this idea of fighting monsters.
Her right hand tightened on my intervention. She licks her upper lip, noticing my heavy perspiration as the pack of wolf-life creatures growls and slowly prowls closer to us. But she soon regains her fiery expression gripping her weapons tightly in a nervous tone, "Scary critters, aren't they?"
Preparing myself I responded with confidence in my voice in a calm tone, "They're… a bit too big to be called critters, I think Gear Eyes."
At that moment I gave Ryuko advice immediately preparing myself to let go of her shoulder only to place her back against mine in a calm tone, "There you go. Fall back on what's familiar. Relax enough so that you won't freeze. But not too much that you become careless. These things have a nasty habit of surprising you. They don't scare, they don't care about missing limbs, and they keep on coming until either party is dead."
*Gulp*
Hearing her swallow, my hand slowly extracted my Shadow Sword. The Grimm on my right snarls in my direction and his claws dig into the ground. Ryuko responds trying to get my attention as I concentrate in a nervous tone, "Is this what you deal with on an everyday basis going into different worlds?"
I quickly replied as I felt her back muscles flex and heard a sound of machinery coming from her front in a calm tone, "Not exactly. But sometimes I deal with the hostile locals or monster-infested worlds. Also, try to fight without transforming think of it as practice and only use Senketsu if the situation calls for it. When traveling into other worldlines keep your best trump cards hidden."
She nodded as she began to fight, I gave her a piece of advice preparing to fight the Grimm for the first time in my life then I felt her right fist bump in the left thigh in a calm tone, "More than enough for a few Beowolves. Just keep calm and aware of your surroundings, and don't forget… We're in this together, alright?"
She responded with a light nod as I got their attention with Ryuko drawing Bakuzan at the ready. The pack snarls and howls, tongues wetting sharp chops, back arching, and claws digging into the ground. [TOOS].
[Young Beowulf Lv.5 Grimm]
[Young Beowulf Lv.5 Grimm]
Oh, these would make for perfect sparing practices for Ryuko. But let's see how she handles being outside her world of comfort into the dangerous life of mine. I just hope she isn't hurt too badly when everything has been said and done…
Welp. Time to grind and teach Gear Eyes.

~Ruby R. POV~
[Patch, Cliffside Forest]
Stepping onto the gravestone of my mom I spoke with a sad smile gazing at the grave of my mother in an awkward tone, "Hey, Mom. It's been a while, but training with Dad has been hectic lately. I think he's getting Yang ready for Beacon and dragging me into it. Sorry, I don't visit you as much. It must be lonely here, huh…. We miss you."
I lost my smile replaced with a frown. A few seconds of silence passed before I shook my head. I didn't come here to be sad I had to do at least something positive.
Changing the depressive mood into something positive I smiled changing topics in a cheerful tone, "My dad told me that you got to Beacon a year early. How cool is that? I wish I could be like you. You must've been an amazing Huntress…"
'So why did you leave us?'
I shook my head leaving that unsaid –
"Auuuuoooo…!"
It was then that I heard the howl of Beowulf. I looked to my left, where the voice came from and my hand slowly gripped my baby Crescent Rose. That was strange. Beowolves don't just howl at midnight.
They never howl unless they are in a fight, and last I checked, people don't just wander here at this hour. But another howl echoed but was cut short abruptly.
I narrowed my eyes and ran to investigate what was going on, skillfully evading whatever was in my way I used my Semblance [Petal Burst]. I soon stopped to see the energy slash of Aura hitting Beowulf and slicing it in half without much resistance.
I turned my head to the source of the attack and spotted a handsome man dodging Grimm from behind and killing it with a stab to the head managing to eavesdrop on what his saying in a calm tone, "That's the last of them… how are things on your end Gear Eyes."
Twirling his blade around another figure decapitating Beowulf with ease as she spoke in an annoyed tone, "Got these bloody bastards! Damn, these… Grimm right is annoying? If that's all of the Grimm and more coming, I'm gonna be seriously pissed."
What? I blinked a bit confused here. Are they looking for Grimm to kill? Are they hunters?
