Chapter 113: Baeber

Chapter 113: Baeber

~Third POV~

[Bucharest, Church]

Meeting inside the Romania Church of Bucharest Mash greeted the incarnated Priest taking careful distance, "You the one who called me here?"

Shirou nodded as he extended his hand to the door gesturing for him to follow inside in a polite tone, "Yes, that's correct. Please come inside."

Walking behind Mash spoke to Saber cautiously, alarming her, '… Saber, are there any Servants nearby? Familiars? Or anything out of the ordinary?'

She instantly replied having her senses be on edge around the Priest having a nasty feeling about the person they were following, 'No… I can't sense any. But something's giving me a bad feeling. Be careful, Master.'

Mash curtly nodded silently but teased his Servant much to her frustration, 'Thanks… Baeber.'

She replied violently through gritted teeth inside his head, 'I'll fucking kill you!!!'

He lightly laughed mentally as Mash and Shirou sat on a couch facing each other. Shirou began to introduce himself in a polite tone, "Nice to meet you. I'm Shirou Kotomine. I have been made the Supervisor of the Holy Grail War. Mash Bastion."

Leaning back to his seat Mash spoke keeping things straight and professional, "Let's keep the introductions short. You've already investigated me anyway, right?"

Closing his eyes Shriou nodded agreeing in a surprised tone about Mash's existence, but eyes Fou perched on his shoulder with curiosity, "Yes that is correct. Although the only thing I know about you is that you're the Wizard Marshall's apprentice. But would you mind materializing the Servant you have with you if you please?"

Mash hesitated to show till Saber spoke keeping his neutral expression, 'I'll materialize, Master. Still getting a bad feeling though.'

He relented but only by saying one thing to Saber that she agreed to follow in a serious tone, 'Then do it. But always keep the helmet in front of this guy. I don't trust him one second. He gives me some bad vibes.'

Showing herself in her armor Shirou is surprised not to see her status or name but smiles all the same showing his Servant in a proud tone, "Since you have shown your Servant it's only fair, I'll show you mine as well. Please come Assassin."

Soon enough Assassin revealed herself having a depraved beauty and a peerlessly beautiful woman wrapped in a dress as dark as midnight who emanates a pleasing aroma replied expressing a pleasant smile, "I'm the assassin of Red. I look forward to working with you, Bastion. Saber-dono as well."

Mash immediately used [Observe] to judge her strength and level. And he wasn't disappointed considering the power of a Servant either.

[Semiramis Lv.80 Assassin of Red

Description: The Wise Queen of Assyria. Born from the Syrian mermaid goddess Derketo and a human man, she was left on the waterfront by her loveless mother. She was wrapped in the warm wings of a dove and fed with the dove's milk.

Semiramis was then found and educated by the shepherd Simmas until she married Onnes, an old general; but she was then taken away by the Syrian king Ninus who fell in love with her thanks to her beautiful face.

This forced Onnes to commit suicide, and after Semiramis earned the favors of the king with original battle plans, she married him and formally became queen. A few days after the marriage, she killed the king with poison and reigned as a regent over Assyria for the next few decades. This is the oldest case of murder by poisoning in legends.]

Having met Assassin of Red Shirou began to speak getting their attention on the information they provided in a serious tone, "Now then, it's a bit abrupt, but I'll report on the current situation to you. The Yggdmillenia Clan already has 6 Servants. Saber, Archer, Lancer, Rider, Berserker, and Caster. It seems Assassin of Black's The Only Servant hasn't joined up with them yet. But I can confirm with my Authority as supervisor that their Assassin has been summoned."

He nodded as Mash spoke the next question in a serious tone placing his hand under his chin, "Have you discovered any of their names?"

Shirou shook his head explaining to Mash sliding paper documents of the servants in a neutral tone, "At present, we unfortunately have yet to determine any of their identities. We've at least managed to confirm the status of the 6 Servants present. For our side, all the Masters including myself have summoned our servants and began acting. Bastion-san, do you have any ideas as to the identities?"

Mash nodded his head showing the paper document with the photo of Lancer of Black in a confident tone, "… I do have one. The Group of Magi that left the area encountered the Lancer of Black of this region. The infamous Impaler Vlad the III. So, how about the Servants on our side?"

At this, Shirou smiled happily leaning back and explaining their roster in a polite tone both eyes closed, "They're not bad at all. Your Saber seems quite powerful as well. I can confidently say both our Lancer and Rider are strong enough to oppose Lancer of Black. In any case, with the addition of your Saber, we have all 7 Servants of our camp gathered. I'll introduce you to the other Masters right away."

Mash has his eyes closed as Shirou continues opening his wish to know Saber's identity in a polite tone, "Now then would you please reveal Saber's true name? In this war, we're all comrades. Since we're entrusting our lives to each other, don't you think it's better to reveal our Servants' true names?"

He was hesitant in explaining Saber's real name eyes narrowing with suspicion at Shirou's insistence, "Sure, it's true we're working together, but still revealing true names is a bit much."

Saber soon asked using their mental link to discuss their path heading forward, 'Master what're you going to do? I'm against it myself.'

Mash smiled as he stood up declining Shirou's idea earning the loyalty of Saber in the process explaining himself in a confident tone, "Sorry but if my Saber said no then no. I have more trust in her than you pal. We're gonna do things on our own."

Standing up readying to leave Shirou genuinely looked confused before asking for him to reconsider, "You have no intention of forming a common front with the rest of us?"

Both headed towards the door's exit he replied closing the door in the process with a confident grin, "We have the same objective fighting the Servants of Black. That should be good enough, see ya later."

*Thud*

Closing the door Shirou merely smiled seeing them both leave the area in a neutral tone not bothered in the least, "Shame. I was looking forward to fighting alongside you, though. Truly a shame."

Semiramis soon asked crossing her arms together in a curious tone allowing the two to leave getting away, "Why did you let them go? Aren't you being too lax, Master?"

Extending his arm towards Semiramis Shirou lightheartedly replied dressing his formal attire for the Holy Grail War, "Leave them be for now. It's enough that they aren't hostile towards us our current enemies are the Servants of Black."

Soon another voice entered the conversation lightly surprising the duo in a flamboyant overdramatic tone revealing to be Shakespeare of the Caster Class, "I agree as well, Master! It's far too soon to have such magnificent actors step off the stage!"

Shirou donning his red robe and preparing himself replied to the third person and others coming out to greet him in a polite tone, "Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. In any case, with this, all the pieces have been gathered. Archer. Lancer. Rider. Caster. Assassin. Berserker. And Saber. The opening of hostilities will commence soon. The 7 Servants of Black and the 7 Servants of Red will fight and slaughter each other without end in the largest-scale Holy Grail War in history. In other words, the Great Holy Grail War. Now let us begin this Great Holy Grail War."

/////

Walking out of the Church away from anyone Mash simply smirked asking in a confident tone, "Saber, anyone tailing us? Doves or another familiar summons?"

Saber curtly replied using their mental link not sensing anyone in a serious tone, '… No. Assassin might be following us in Astral Form since I couldn't detect her. Don't let your guard down.'

Mash nodded his head as Saber continued explaining gaining his attention and making him smile listening to her praise, 'Master…. Umm, you know… I feel relieved to know that my Master isn't the type to curry favor with a cunning crook. But only a little, okay? Just a tiny bit relieved.'

He only smiled as he responded heading toward Bucharest and answering to her in a curious tone, "That's good then. I just earned your trust even if it's just a tiny bit. Besides… just between us… why are you naked under the armor Baeber?"

That kindness that Saber showed immediately evaporated growling in anger at his blunt words, "I take it back! I'll do us both a favor and kill you off myself!!!"

He laughed as he offered Saber a chance to buy some clothes while making a promise to stop Saber from actually attacking him on the spot, "How about I let you buy whatever clothes you want and eat in a 5-star hotel in Bucharest with an all-you-can-eat food. I know you Sabers are goddamn gluttons as an apology for calling you Baeber."

He smirked challenging Saber with his audacity and rebellious attitude that caused her to growl but slowly smirked wishing him pain through his wallet, "You signed your death warrant. I'll bleed your money dry Master. You better hope I feel full by the end of this or else…"

He only nodded as they proceeded to head forward towards the Capital he laughed internally with a passing thought, 'It's not my money I won't be worried about. You can thank the charitable Mage Association Saber.'

Handling a child wasn't that much of difficult for Mash as he already handled Emilia, Rem, King, and a few mentions gazing at the sky night thought to himself, 'This is going to be a very interesting time I just know it. And…'

Opening a map using his Gamer Ring of Romania looking over the map raising an eyebrow searching for the fastest way to the Fortress of Yggdmillennia located in Trifas, 'Hmm… seems like the fastest way to proceed into Trifas would either hitchhike or take the Transylvanian Motorway. Fast way it is.'

Making a note after Saber finishes gathering her clothes and eating they would embark immediately toward the Transylvanian Motorway. Thinking of the time Mash thought to himself in a serious tone, 'This war is gonna get serious down the line better adjust my stats to what I need. Some LUCK will certainly increase my chances.'

Having such thought Mash immediately began adjusting his skills to better prepare himself for any incoming attacks in his way. When he was done, he smiled satisfied with the choices he made feeling the boost looking at the screen.
