The world of Pallos is a world filled with mana and magic, powerful mages who can sunder mountains with one hand and powerful factions and families who rule large territories. In the Western part of Pallos, there resides a small family known as the Storm family. They have made their residence in the plains behind Jopern City, a big city controlled by two large families; the Terrafinos and the Wagells. The Storm family business is alchemy, where they run a small potion shop in Jopern city, with their trademark potion being the Storm potion, a potion which doubles the destructive power of a mage for a short period of time. The head of the Storm family is Paul Storm, a level 5 Grand mage. He and his wife Elaine have five children; Dominic Storm, Jacob Storm, Jarvis Storm, Tiana Storm and finally, little Simon Storm, aged 12, 11, 11, 9, 5 respectively. The Storm family has always tried to be independent, keeping a low profile and managing their small business sufficiently but unfortunately, their business has become a direct interference to the Wagell family as they seek to bring to the market a new pill called the Berserk pill which is no different from the Storm potion. Of course, the Storm family knows nothing about it and continue their business without knowing of the plot...
"Dominic, accompany uncle Albus to deliver a parcel to Darwin Frey, the city mayor," called Elaine Storm. "Okay, mother," replied Dominic as he got out of the Storm Family residence. Dominic was a tall boy with a nice build, light blue eyes and dirt blond hair, the identifying characteristic of members of the Storm family. He is a Level 1 Intermediate Mage with the elements Lightning, Air, Water and Space. Dominic found Albus Storm, his uncle, waiting for him outside. He was with Friedl and Matt, workers for the family, each bearing a load of Storm potions. "Hi little one," said Uncle Albus, rubbing Dominic's hair. Dominic smiled and hugged his uncle. They four then set off on their journey. Due to the fact that the Storm family was small, they couldn't afford the luxury of a beast mount but to make up for that, Albus Storm was a Summoner with an Advanced level Contracted Beast, the Lightning Bull. Uncle Albus had summoned the bull and Dominic was sitting on it's back, with the other trio walking. "Business is shit these days. If not for this deal with Mayor Frey, we'd have been out of business by now," commented Matt. "Yeah, everything was going fine a couple of months ago but it's like someone's blocking our income," commented Friedl. "Enough of that talk, you two. Don't upset the boy," chided Albus. "Okay sir," said the duo. They continued on and then suddenly, the bull started to give off electricity, shocking Dominic and causing Albus and the others to stop. "What's wrong Ukki?" said Albus, patting the bull and trying to calm it down. As if in answer to the question, a Flame arrow came out of nowhere and embedded itself in the neck of the bull, killing it instantly. Albus coughed out a mouthful of blood due to the backlash suffered from losing his contracted beast. "Who dares!" roared Albus as he raised his hand and released his aura, the aura of a Level 3 Grànd Mage! Matt and Friedl dropped their loads and spears of Ice formed in their hands. Six men in black appeared from the shadows and surrounded them, wearing masks. They had an insignia on the left hand side of their chests. When Albus saw it, he immediately became pale. "The Wagell family! But why are you ambushing us? We have not offended you!" said Albus in fear. The man in front replied, "Your product is a big hindrance to our business. Obviously, we can't have that so we are forcefully stopping it. Your little shop is being burnt right now as we speak. "This is blatant abuse of power!" fumed Albus in rage. He raised his hand to cast a lightning spell but he was suppressed by the man in front who released his Level 3 Super Mage aura! He waved his hand and Albus went flying away. Matt and Friedl released their Ice spells but the other masked men killed them immediately, leaving Dominic, shivering and hiding behind the corpse of the bull. The man in front walked to Dominic and lifted him by the neck. "A Storm runt huh? To bad you were in the wrong place boy, but orders are orders and I have to do my job. Don't worry though, I'll give you a painless death," said the man. His fingers morphed into sharp claws and he slashed Dominic's throat with blood spurting out like water. He dropped Dominic's limp body to the ground and dusted his hands. "Our work here is done," he said. They turned around and went back to the Wagell Family house.
