Get to know each other

The mating (wedding) date had been set. Minji and Jungwoo were to be mated in 2 months time and during this time, the Jeon family were to stay in the park palace so that Jungwoo and Minji could get to know each other better.

The first day had gone by without them talking because the Jeon family were still settling in. They did see each other during dinner that evening though but they didn't exchange any words other than great each other.

The awkwardness between the two did not go pass neither the Jeon or the Park family. So they decided to have them spend the next day together. So after having breakfast they were off to spend the day together trying to get to know each other. Keyword TRYING.

Minji didn't know where to take Jungwoo so he asked Soji for help and she suggested giving him a tour of the palace and so began the long day. They walked from one place to another in the palace and the only thing that could be considered as a conversation between them was when Minji told Jungwoo what role a specific place in the palace played.

They had finished touring the palace by the time it was lunch time. They were about to separate but were informed that they were to have lunch together which was word from the pack alpha that they couldn't deny.

They had lunch in silence and by the time they were done they went their separate ways.

"Did you have fun with Minji today?" The voice came from the door of Jungwoo's chamber and he didn't have to look at the person to know that it was his tween sister Wooji and soon all his siblings invited themselves in his chamber.

"Sure" Jungwoo said not even looking at his siblings.

"And what do you mean by 'sure', you two were supposed to get to know each other, so what did you learn about him" his older brother asked.

"He gave me a tour of the palace then we ate and that's all, what else do you want to hear?" Jungwoo responded this time looking at the uninvited guests in his room.

"Did you ask him anything about himself?" Yeongi asked

"No" responded Jungwoo

"Did you talk about yourself, like telling him things he would want to know about you?" This time it was Taeyung who asked the question

"No" came another blant answer from Jungwoo.

"So what was the point of you two spending the day together if you couldn't learn anything about each other. It like you don't even care about this alliance" his older brother, Najoon, stated with a stern voice " this is not just about two large packs merging together, this is our father's last wish"

"Of course I care about the alliance, I know that father had wanted this but I'm busy with a lot of things I don't have time for cheat chat" Jungwoo stated with a serious tone.

"Jungwoo this is not only about cheat chatting. It's important for two people to get to know each other before mating" Jin said with a soft voice hoping that Jungwoo will understand what he's trying to say.

"We have our whole life to get to know each other" Jungwoo responds and Najoon had finally have it "I have had it with this attitude of yours, it might not be important to you but I'm sure Minji wants to get to know at least a little bit about his future mate, so from tomorrow you'll be spending time with him for at least 3 hours a day"

"But-"

"That's my final decision, this is an order from your elder brother " Najoon said and everyone left.

On the other side Minji was a bit saddened by the fact that he didn't get to know anything about his future mate. Yes he might not have been ready for the mating but he had agreed which means that it was going to happen and the only thing he could do now was accept his fate and learn to live with his mate, and the first step was getting to know him first.

'he didn't even initiate any conversation between us' Minji thought with a sigh

'you didn't initiate a conversation either ' his wolf said through mind link

' I was waiting for him to say something '

' yeah and how did that work out for you?'

' hey who's side are you on! '

' I'm not on anyone's side ' Minji could hear the tease in his wolf's tone, so he decided to ignore him and went to sleep.
