21. Rejection

Trieze for some reason had been oblivious of Arielle's presence since her shift and this is because she got a ' you owe me wish ' from Rukky. The genie granted the wish to make Trieze forget Arielle's existence until the blue moon night when she intends to challenge him. Since Arielle didn't have Rukky 's bottle, she must pay back the favor in whatever way the genie wants.

"Get up Betty, go to the room and wait until I call for you, "Trieze ordered.

Betty wiped her tears. "I won't go anywhere! I am the Luna and by your side is where I belong!" she mumbled.

Trieze pinched between his brows. "I will get you the oval diamond, "he promised.

Betty's eyes lit up like a bright yell bulb. "I will go right away, "she told with a smile.

Trieze rolled his eyes as he watched his mate go up. ' so dumb. ' He looked at his guest who was mumbling between themselves, he shrank his eyes when he heard something about 'a mate scent' in the kitchen. His mood lightened instantly, the possibility of getting a mating alliance was sure.

"By all means feel free to enter the kitchen, " Trieze said, the grin on his face was more disturbing than approving.

But since it concerned his mate Tammy rose and excused himself. The omegas peering from the kitchen were more than shocked to see a royal approaching them with his buffy guards behind. They squirreled away with their heads lowered.

As Tammy entered the kitchen the only one that didn't turn was a female in a chef costume and she smelt so good. Tammy calculated his steps as he got close, he sucked his lips and bravely touched her shoulder.

"Mate?" He said in form of a question.

May slowly turned, but then her radically beating heart rate stopped for a split second. "Mate?"She whispered.

Looking into her dull brown eyes, Tammy felt disappointed, "an omega..." he subconsciously let out and retracted his hand. Yes, the female before is the most beautiful but she is old and an OMEGA!

The disappointment in his voice brought sadness to May. She felt her tears threatening to fall but she fought them. If she could guess, the boy is probably 20 years and she is 247 years old. Age is not usually an obstacle for werewolves but that is because females term to have older mates, something about the goddess cursing the males for rejecting the mates they had then.

"Yes I am an old omega and you don't want to stain the name of your esteem pack so see yourself out of my kitchen, "Mary said with a grimace.

Tammy opened his mouth but the words were not coming, he turned to leave with great difficulty. His wolf howled to be free to be with their mate but he just couldn't, not right now at least.

Brian stopped behind some trees close to the packhouse. He was panting as if his lungs were about to give up on him. "Mate!" He heard the sliver eyes girl say. He stretched his hand ." stop!"

Energìa didn't listen, she came close and held the hand then sniffed it. "Mate...."

For a second, Brian lost control and his wolf came to the surface. "Origin..."

Energìa smiled wittily as she also introduced herself. "Energìa."

Brian regained control and broke their hand embrace. Lifting his head, he said. "Control your wolf."

Energìa didn't want to return control, she was enjoying her mate's company. "I am Energìa and she is Arielle, we are mates!" She squealed.

"Give her control!"Brian commanded with his alpha voice.

Energìa frowned." Why are you using that tone ?"

Arielle regained power as her eyes returned to brown. "Don't ever use that tone to speak to us!" she crossed her arms.

Brian was shocked, all alphas bend before a pure-blood who is more powerful than they are unless... "You are a pureblood?" he said.

Arielle smiled. "Something like that."

"Blue moon pack hides their only pureblood, how pathetic, "Brian scowled.

"You sound unhappy, why?"Arielle asked, her heart feeling heavy because of the dark emotions coming from Brian.

"Because I don't want a mate, I REJECT YOU!" Brian confessed with a vicious smile.

*Cough* Arielle fell on her knees as Brian walked away. Blood poured out of her mouth. Her insides felt like it was being shredded. "Ahhhhhhhhhh~" she cried and held her stomach.

The backlash of rejection had kicked in, she wailed, curled up in a ball, and stretched towards her exiting mate, her tears became blood.

Brian didn't turn, his entire body was heating up, his wolf was angry and crawling to get out, but he refused to let him out. It is better this way, to end things when it hasn't gotten serious, luckily she's a pureblood, and she would survive the backlash of rejection.

He entered the packhouse and said to his subordinates before turning to leave. "Let's go."

"Wait, what?"Trieze mumbled in confusion. "But the meeting?"

Brian paused. "Crescent pack wants nothing to do with your pack, "he said then moved.

Desmond and Tammy followed with the guards. Tammy looked back and met May's eyes, he forced himself to gaze away.

May ran out of the packhouse and shifted to her wolf form. She howled bitterly alerting others of her partial rejection. The others felt how pain, years of waiting, and for what?

On Arielle's part, she heard her aunt and almost forgot about her predicament as she tried to rise from the ground just to fall back in her blood. "Mom..." she cried. "Energìa~take charge now!"

Her wolf immediately shifted but entered her Ultima form instead of her regular size causing the trees around her to fall.

"It's the Ultima!" Two-pack guards screamed coherently.

As soon as her insides healed, Energìa howled before changing form. Brian and his subordinates heard the terrifying howl and wondered what monster Blue moon pack was hiding. Brian's heart accelerated, ' it can't be her... What is she?'

Arielle ran after her guardian who was sitting on a cliff. She shifted as she slowly approached her. "Mom~ mummy please calm down, "she said.

May in turn mind linked her. < "Did I deserve that? to be rejected because all the odds are against me? I didn't choose to be born an omega nor did I choose to be old, why did the goddess curse me like this? Where did I go wrong?"

Arielle descended on the floor gradually. She stoked her custodian's fur. "You didn't do anything wrong mom, but fate has put hurdles in the way of our happiness, I am sorry, you deserve better." Arielle exhaled. She hugged May's head. "Is it weird that I want to beat your mate to a pulp?"

May chuckled, her child was something else. After her shift, she now feels like the strongest wolf alive. The feeling is normal for newly shifted wolves, it usually ends with them getting pounded by a higher-ranked wolf. She just Arielle have better luck.

Brian chose to drive them back since he is upset, he drove like an enraged person and went higher than the speed limit. Desmond kept screaming at him to slow down but he didn't listen and what annoyed him most was that Tammy just sat there quietly as he was unbothered about the death threat behind the wheels.

Thanks to the goddess, they arrived home unscratched. Brian opened the car door and leaped in the air. He shifted and ran toward the forest.
