Magic is Real

Jasper removed his gloves, he got a drawing in his hands, so he grabbed the rock and said "Everything you are gonna see is completely real, I got nothing else but my hands" he removed his coat, and adjust his sleeves to his elbows and said back again "I got nothing and I removed everything to prove myself."

He started to whisper and I could feel a weird sensation in the room, like a heavy environment, I got so nervous and my father was just so serious watching everything, his eyes only said "power."

Jasper suddenly broke the rock into pieces and inside of it was a big piece of gold, and said: "May you taste it to see if it is real gold, James?"

James step front to him grabbed the piece of gold and smile "It seems to be real gold."

My father's eyes were impressed in silence and the uncomfortable way that I have never seen before. But my father just asked Jasper "If you wanna win the position to be a king by my daughter's side you have to fight, demonstrate that you really want it. You have to prove your intelligence, your strength, your intentions, and most importantly, your power"

Jasper smiled like if my father just gave him a challenge and said "It would be my honor, our majesty"

My father made the order to seat them in a table and provide them of anything they need, but just right after he grabbed my shoulder and said "Come with me, I need to talk to you" I was so surprised that my father talked to me so directly, especially because his masculinity mind of "Girls should not be responded to the man of the place, they have to show respect and be quite. A girl has not an important position, or not just like the man has."

I followed him and we got to his study room, he said it was important if I get married to a magician because we can gain power, but something was not making so much sense. My father said that our family had magic before, but because of their selfish wishes the God removed them from us, just until a good heart was born the magic and the powers would come back. He also said that I have a birthmark that nobody knows what exactly is, it just creeped me out and said "father can we just come back to the dance?" he was watching to a book and said, "You gotta marry him and I will use that power, you better do it."

I felt it was all my fault to asked them to show their power, I did not even want to go back to the dance. When we got back Jasper was talking with the queen, my mother. I just sat and remain in my seat, until Jasper invited me to dance.

He took my hand and said "Pardon me" so I just smiled. He got me close to him, took me by the waist and started to dance with me. I was so confused, so I just asked what got my mind too lost

"I went to the flower's the last four days and you never appeared"

he just said "I am so sorry, princess. I got a problem and got no time to solve it, until yesterday. But someone just talked about a marriage dance in Sabbath kingdom and I knew it will be you, and decided to surprised you"

I was so mad, but his warm body against mine just made said "everything is right."

After the dance I went to my room, I had a strong feeling in every part of my body. I read too many books, just to know that I wished him with me. Wished to be touch by his hands everywhere, by his lips, see him watched me over me, and say everything without speaking. So, I just took my clothes off and decided to sleep naked in my bed.

The next day, when I woke up Ofelia was laughing and asked me "What are you doing naked in your bed, princess?"

I blushed right after and said "Ah... It was really hot in here"

Ofelia is older than me, of course, she knows "Yes, after what I saw yesterday, you might be melting"

I blushed and said "Ofelia, you should help me, not just make fun of me ( ⚈̥̥̥̥̥́^⚈̥̥̥̥̥̀)"

She just prepared everything and said, "It is ok to feel this way, you are growing up really fast, princess."

I went outside and everyone was getting ready, so I just asked "What is gonna be the first mother?" and she responded "They have to prove themselves into archery, darling. Your father has to choose the best ones."

I wondered if there would be another dance since my mother loves dances and always ask my father for them. "Mother, there is gonna be another dance?"

She just replied "Of course, but I am not still sure. Is gonna be announcing in the next days."

My father came to us and sit by our side, and said "Winny is one of the best, but this time I just hope he does not win" of course because you were watching Jasper and his powers.

The first set started, everyone was in their position, and from this game at least one has to lose.

I did not expect anything, but I was so confused, so I just wished Jasper would lose in any of my father's games. I do not know if Jasper can use his powers to perfection anything that he does, but I gotta stop him.

As it was planned, only one lost this game, prince Long lost, he missed a step and fail. My father offered his apologies and wished them a good journey back to their kingdom. He congrats everyone and offered them a small party for their success.

I decided to stay in my room and just do not eat anything. The sun was about to come down, so I decided to go over the flowers. I went down, grabbed some fertilizer and water, for some reason nobody saw me, lucky me. When I got there, Jasper was there with the flower, he saw me and said: "Oh, princess, what are you doing?"

I was surprised and just responded "I come to take care of it" he smiled at me so good and I just blushed.

We sat in there and started talking about the moon, how beautiful it was, and how everything looks better when the sun comes down. I asked him "Did the moon gave you powers?" I did not even know why did I ask it, I was so ashamed and said "Forget it... I do not know wh.." he interrupted and responded to my question "Yes, I owe my life to the moon. To the moon's flower to be precise."

I did not expect him to be so open to me, and I said "I hope someday you tell me that story" and he just said what I did not expect "When we get married, I would be able to tell you any story you wanted me to" I turned back and he was not there anymore.

I was so worried.

How did a forgot to tell him not to win?

how can I even do that?

When I got into my room back again, someone was waiting for me, but I did not say who it was, this person just ran and jumped by the window just right by my side and whispered "Hi, princess. Do not worry I will come back later."

I called Ofelia and order to watch my room's door more constantly, but the knights said nobody enters the room by the door, so I suspect he enters my room when he saw me getting out.

Before to sleep, I heard a little noise by my window, when I opened it to check out, Jasper jumped and said "I am here to watch in your sleep, princess" I blushed, I was so surprised and just responded "Wh... wh... wh.. what? no, no, no, you cannot do that" he interrupted saying "I got your father's permission" so I sighed and said "Of course, are you just gonna stay out here?" he laughed and said "I supposed unless you want me to sleep with you" I blushed and said "I do not think that is proper, we do not know each other at all and you have not won yet" he looked at the moon and said, "But I will, and you are gonna be mine."

I looked down and just asked, "Can you lose?"

He turned to me "Nope"

So I enquired "Why not? After what you showed to my father.."

He interrupted again saying "I know, he wants me for power. I know who is your father, he almost killed me."

I knew he was not lying, but "Why did he try to kill you?"

He gave me a brooch "Princess, I used to live in this kingdom. We were friends, but I was poor and your father read in that damn book a ritual to gain power sacrificing a pure heart. He wanted to get back the power that God took back from this royal blood family."

I was listening but it got me shocked, so I asked: "wait.. what?" I know my father would do anything for power, but I did not remember him "I do not remember you"

He smiled "This is a royal family brooch that you gave to me because you fell in love with me when we were six and promised me we will get married someday"

it made sense, the brooch looked like my grandma's and I thought it got lost time ago. "Can you keep telling me your story?"

He grabbed my hand and said "He took me into the woods, draw on the floor and prayed to the moon, and then stabbed me with a knife. He left me, I was crying and dying. I just remembered heard a voice saying 'you are a pure heart kid, the moon is giving you something that nobody is gonna have' and when I woke up my hair was red and white, the flower was already by my side and a note said 'this flower represents your life, if it dies, you die' so I have been taking care of"

I could not believe it at the beginning, but it makes so much sense "Uhm... are you the only one who can use this magic?"

He looked at me happy "nope, I have been studying since then and found a way that people can use it, too."

That was a really impressive answer "people?"

He was happy "I can teach magic and give powers to someone else. But I just did it with my father and the right hand of my family. I have not tried with a woman, but you could be the first one."

I thought such a thing would not be possible, but I did not want him to be sad by any wrong answer, so I just smiled at him.

After a couple of minutes, I got back to my bed and told Jasper he could be inside my room since staying outside was unnecessary.

I was reading my book because it was impossible to sleep while I was watched by him just standing in the corner. I told him to have sat in my desk and relax for a bit, but he was just stubborn.

After an hour I finally went to sleep, it was really comfortable and I felt safe with him in my room. When I woke up he was sitting in my bed, I knew he was waiting for me to wake up, but instead of doing that, I just open a bit my eyes and stare at him for a little while...
