The Monstrous King and his sweet Evil Queen

In the mysterious realm of Kalvon, where shadows whispered tales of Kings and Queens, none were as infamous as King Jetaime. Whispers echoed through the cobblestone corridors and darkened chambers of the palace, painting a macabre portrait of a heartless sovereign scarred by the cruelty of fate. His legs, so the tales spun, were lifeless appendages, and his face, a grotesque canvas of boils. His was a visage that struck terror into the hearts of those who dared imagine it. Yet, destiny took an unforeseen turn on the eve of a grand wedding night. Princess Jaelyn, cursed and hidden away within the confines of Malavon Castle, was the unwilling pawn in a malevolent game of power. Her name, synonymous with evil, and her every step marked by the devil's touch. However, as she stepped into the grand hall to meet her monstrous groom, a man emerged before her, shattering the grotesque image painted by gossip. King Jetaime stood not as the rumored monster, but as a vision of unexpected sweetness, love, and undeniable handsomeness. The discrepancy between the tales and the reality sparked a whispered question in the minds of those who witnessed this surreal union — had she unwittingly married an imposter, or were the rumors nothing more than twisted fragments of a darker imagination? As King Jetaime and Princess Jaelyn embarked on their tumultuous journey, the chessboard of power and revenge unfolded. Locked in a dance of secrets and hidden motives, the two found themselves entangled in a love that defied the expectations set by the world. The King, who had never allowed anyone close, now placed his heart willingly in her hands. Princess Jaelyn, driven by the flames of vengeance, found an unexpected ally in the man she was supposed to despise. Together, they navigated the treacherous waters of courtly politics, facing a power struggle fueled by conspiracies that threatened to tear them apart. In the battle between love and destiny, the question lingered like an ethereal mist — was their connection a mere human maneuver or a divinely fated love? As the story unfolded, the narrative wove a tapestry of twists and turns, challenging the very essence of their existence. Could love truly conquer all things, or were some cases destined to be eternally hopeless? Two empty hearts, two lives devoid of love, collided in a dance of darkness and light. A monster king and an evil queen united to become one, their journey unfurling like a forbidden scroll. The world watched with bated breath as the saga unfolded — a tale of love, betrayal, and the relentless pursuit of a destiny that defied the predetermined life. Cover by Java graphics.

Royal breakfast

"I want to sleep," Lyn said in the softest and cutest voice that Jetaime couldn't resist, he couldn't continue with whatever he had in mind, her tiny sweet voice disarms him in every way possible. He could only comply. "Of course," he replied planting a kiss on her forehead and falling to her side.

"I can still hold you right while I tell you a story to fall asleep?" Jetaime asks as Lyn nods her head. Jetaime grabs her back in his arms and tells her a story. Lyn closed her eyes to sleep even though she couldn't sleep.

"A long time ago, there was a boy who was being chased by a group of men, the same men that killed his parent, he kept running for days until he couldn't feel his legs anymore. Just when he thought it was all over, and ready to meet his end. An angel appeared to him and save his life..." He sighed. Lyn couldn't help but remember her encounter with a dying boy she gave her food to years back. She got a good scolding from her grandmother when she return to the palace that day.

"Lyn… Lyn," Jetaime called out but there was no response. "You finally fell asleep, your lovely eyes remind me a lot of that angel. I have searched for her for years but I have finally accepted the fact that she was an angel just like her name, May God protect," Jetaime kissed her neck slowly. Lyn breathe heavily as his lips brushed her skin while shutting her eyes with all her strength.

Lyn was more and more convinced he was the boy she save years back, Maybe it was fate, it was all fate. Maybe they were fated to meet each other again. Maybe she was the one to be here not Oaklyn. Lyn thought. And that gave her a sense of relief.

She deserves everything she has right now, her husband, the king might be a jerk at times and sweet on other occasion but she deserves the title of the queen of this great nation.

Jetaime had to wake up early to attend to some urgent work, Lyn was fast asleep when he left. He was so careful not to wake her up, he remove a strain of hair away from her face, then stare at her gorgeous face for another minute before planting a kiss on her forehead.

Today was the rain festival and Jetaime was preparing everything for Lyn to perform the ritual for the night. He didn't get the time to explain it to her but he still have plenty of time to do that during breakfast. The entire royal family needs to gather for a royal breakfast on the day of a rain festival. Jetaime never sat down to have a meal with the royal family but this time around he wasn't going to leave Lyn alone with those wolves.

"What happens?" Jetaime asked Byron as he step out of his bed chamber. "Don't worry I have taken care of the council members and with a good peaceful breakfast with the royal family everything will be back to normal," Byron whispered.

"Alright," Jetaime said. "Alright? As in you will have breakfast with the rest of the royal family?" Byron asked surprised. Of course, he will be surprised. He has never ever performed that ritual and all of a sudden he is all in.

"Stop making a fuse about it," Jetaime try to make it look as if it was not a big deal but it was. "Whoa, my lord it's a big deal. Does that also mean the Queen will perform the ritual?" Byron curiously asked again.

"Yes, she will, now will you stop asking questions and focus on what's important?" Jetaime said focusing on a piece of map in front of him. He was always keen on strengthening his borders and ready for war at all times. Every full moon he revisits his war strategies and makes amends.

"Yes, my lord. I'm just excited. The strategies look fine," Byron mumbled getting back to business. But Jetaime feels they still need to make a lot of changes.

Lyn was still lying in the king's bed when her maids walks in with her clothes, Madam Yina tries to wake her up but she was still fast asleep. She had one of those nights again when she was unable to wake up on her own.

"The queen must be exhausted, let's come back later," Madam Yina managed to say. She tried not to panic but she felt something was wrong with the queen, in other not to raise suspicions or cause unnecessary rumors she decided to speak to the king. "But the royal breakfast is just a few minutes away," Pana said making sense but Madam Yina can't tell her the queen is unable to wake up.

"Get the queen's Jewel box Pana. And you get the rose fragrance for the queen's bath. Go with her and bring a fresh towel from the queen's chamber, she wouldn't like to use the King's own," Moesha said giving everyone instructions. "Who are you to give me orders?" Pana angrily grumble staring at her. Moesha turns her gaze to Madam Yina.

"Go do as she says," Madam Yina ordered as they angrily leave the room. "What is wrong with her?" Madam Yina nervously asked when everyone was out of the room.

"Nothing, just sleeping," Moesha said. She walks to the bed and sat beside the queen. She starts to sing, suddenly Lyn opens her eyes yarning. Madam Yina was amazed. With all the talking and movement in the room, the queen didn't wake up only after Moesha started singing. She found that strange but it wasn't the time for questioning.

Lyn wanted to leave for her chamber but Jetaime had instructed them to get her ready in his chamber. Lyn was sitting in front of the huge antic mirror, Madam Yina combs her hair. "You look so beautiful," Pana mumbled as Lyn lets out a soft smile.

"Why do I have to get ready here? What is the occasion?" Lyn asked as Pana holds up two new dresses once her hair was done.

"It's the rain festival today, your highness will be having breakfast with the royal family and performing the rain ritual at night," Pana explains waiting for her to pick one of the dresses he picked out for her.

"I don't like any of them. And what is the rain festival about? How come I'm only hearing about it till now?" Lyn was not in the mood to do any public appearances but she already knew what she sign up for. Now she was a little concerned.

Madam Yina entered the room, gently tapping her shoulders, and explained that the rain festival is a night of prayer to thank God for rain and to ask for more blessings on the land. Pana added that, in the past, during the royal breakfast of the rain festival, it always rained and a beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky, promising great prosperity for the Zalvon empire. Unfortunately, since the former queen's passing, no one has been able to fill her place, leaving Lyn feeling anxious.

"How about this dress?" Pana asked showing her another dress. "No, Moesha get me another dress and Pana tell me more about this festival," Lyn ordered.

"Your Majesty, I have some news to share. There are some rumors circulating around the palace," Pana informed.

"What are these rumors about?" Lyn asked curiously.

"People are speculating whether it will rain today or not," Pana trailed off as Madam Yina interjected.

"Please don't worry, Your Highness. These are just baseless rumors. You will look stunning in this dress, it suits your skin tone perfectly," Madam Yina said, gesturing toward the white dress in Moesha's hand. Moesha had also brought a black dress, which Lyn preferred, but considering the auspicious occasion, she decided to heed Madam Yina's advice and wear the white dress.

Lyn was dressed in a beautiful white gown and admired herself in the mirror. She looked like a fairy, but all she could see was her twin sister, Oaklyn. Oaklyn always wore white and left her hair down. Lyn wanted to look different, so she put her hair up in a ponytail.

Finally, they helped her put on her shoes and some fragrance before they all walked out of the room. As they made their way to the garden through the hallway, Lyn began to feel less confident, wondering what she would do if something went wrong. She had been trying to imitate her sister for months, but she wasn't sure she could pull it off this time.

As they approached the garden where the table was set, Lyn felt her heart racing. Moesha comforted the queen by whispering reassuring words and gently holding her hand, letting her know she wasn't alone. Lyn nodded in agreement and tapped Moesha's hand in gratitude.
