Surviving Alone

Nakami trudged through the dense jungle, sweat dripping down his face as he searched for a source of fresh water. He had been at it for hours, but he refused to give up.

Nakami let out a sigh of relief as he stumbled upon a clear spring. Thirsty, he cupped his hands and took a sip of the refreshing water. He knew that wild animals would come to drink here, so building his shelter too close to the spring was bad idea, especially on his first day on the island.

Nakami left the spring, still searching for the perfect place to build his shelter. It needed to be near the spring, yet sturdy enough to last at least one night. As he walked, he explored the functions of his phone, listening to recommended videos on primitive survival.

Suddenly, he realized that the sound of his phone could easily be heard, even without headphones or turning up the volume. Making loud noises in this forest was dangerous. Nakami paused to think, realizing the potential his phone held, but he would need more time to fully understand its capabilities.

Nakami finally found a suitable spot to build his shelter. It was close enough to the spring and but slightly far from shore to provide him with easy access to fresh water and other resources, yet far enough away to avoid attracting dangerous animals.

He decided to build a thatched dome hut, a traditional design he had seen in his research. Nakami had watched several tutorials on how to build a shelter in the wilderness, using only natural materials.

Before he began construction, Nakami realized that he would need tools to build his shelter. So, he used the skills he had learned from his survival videos and made his own stone axe and knife.

"These should do the trick," he said to himself as he tested the sharpness of his new tools.

Nakami collected sturdy branches and woven grasses to use for the framework of the hut. He used palm fronds to create a waterproof roof, carefully arranging them to form a dome shape. The walls were made of woven bamboo, which provided both insulation and a secure barrier.

"This is looking great," he said, admiring his handiwork.

The thatched dome hut was sturdy and practical, offering protection from the sun, wind, and rain. He was also proud of the tools he had made, which had proven to be essential in the construction of his shelter.

"I finally have a home on this island," he thought with a sense of satisfaction.

As the sun began to dip below the horizon, Nakami realized that he needed to start a fire. He had watched videos on how to make fire using primitive methods and decided to try the hand drill method. It was easier to use and didn't put strain on his hands like the other methods.

He gathered dry branches and leaves from nearby to use as fuel for the fire. He carefully placed them in a small pit and began to spin the drill. It took a few tries, but finally, he saw smoke rising from the twirling stick. With a sense of excitement, he blew on the embers, encouraging them to grow into a raging flame.

Nakami couldn't help but feel a sense of pride as he gazed at the fire he had made with his own two hands. He imagined ancient humans around their fires, celebrating their accomplishments and feeling a sense of warmth and security. He was no different, as he huddled close to the fire, grateful for the comfort it brought him on this lonely island.

As the small fire flickered outside his hut, Nakami felt a sense of accomplishment. He had built the fire just outside the entrance of his shelter, careful not to let the smoke fill the interior and suffocate him. He waited for the sun to set, and as the darkness enveloped the island, he felt a sense of unease.

Determined to protect himself, he set to work on making a wooden spear. Using branches and leaves nearby, he crafted a sturdy weapon that he hoped would keep him safe. He also placed sharp wooden spikes around the perimeter of his hut, creating a barrier against any potential danger.

As the night fully settled in, Nakami was grateful for the small fire that provided a measure of light in the otherwise dark wilderness. The moonlight offered some comfort, but he couldn't shake the feeling that unseen threats lurked in the shadows. If he hadn't learned how to make a fire using the hand drill, he knew that the night would have been even more frightening.

"I am prepared," he thought to himself, gripping the wooden spear tightly.

Nakami sighed as he looked around at his small but sturdy shelter. The past hours on this island had been a test of his will and determination. At thirty years old, he had been through a lot in life, but nothing compared to the challenges he faced on this desolate piece of land.

He thought about all he had given up to survive, his old life and the people he left behind. As a single man, he realized that he may never see them again. The thought was a heavy one, and he felt a pang of sadness in his heart. But then he remembered his drive to survive, the fire that burned within him and refused to be extinguished.

"I am here, and I am alive," he thought to himself.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, drawing strength from within. When he opened them again, he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

As Nakami sat by the fire, he grew drowsy and fell asleep for a few hours. Upon waking, he noticed that the fire had nearly gone out. He quickly reignited it using his hand drill, then scanned the surrounding area for any threats. Hearing only the sounds of crickets, he felt relieved.

Back inside his hut, Nakami took the opportunity to study his phone more closely. He was eager to learn about its capabilities and features. As he delved deeper, the outside world faded away and he became fully absorbed in his exploration.

As the night went on, Nakami kept exploring the mysteries of his phone. He watched videos about the primitive era to quickly improve his survival skills.

Nakami used to be an active student, but as he got older he stopped participating in sports. He was focused on making money to pay off his student loans. He studied computer science in hopes of inventing something successful and becoming wealthy, but it was just a dream.

Without connections or financial support from his family, he found it difficult to succeed. He dedicated most of his time to working to make ends meet. While his friends were settling down and starting families, Nakami remained single due to his busy schedule.
